현장교사의 흡연청소년 지도 경험에 대한 자문화기술지

이 글은 공립중학교의 현장교사가 흡연청소년과의 교호작용을 드러내어 현행구제방안에 대한 문제점과 한계를 조명해보고 실천가능성을 탐색해보고자 한다. 이를 위해 자문화기술지 연구방법을 채용하였으며 현장 메모, 교사성찰일지, 공공수하물과 자기회상자료 등을 수집하였다. 자료 분석은 내용 분석과 구조 분석(Ellis, 2004)의 방법을 적용하였다. 학교는 흡연청소년들에 대한 적절한 교육적 이해와 접근이 필요하다.학교라는 토양의 시공간적 맥락에 대처한 지도교사와 흡연청소년의 영향력에 대한 구체적인 연구 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학교에서 흡연청소년을 지도하는 방식은 교내 규칙에 의한 낙인과 처벌만이 아닌 홍익인간을 구현하고 싶어하는 자율성의 전제가 그 해소책이라는 것이다. 둘째, 흡연청소년은 고구마줄기처럼 붙어다니며 ‘모험이행’을 하려는 시도를 하기에 타자를 경험하는 동료성으로 승화됨으로 차분한 학교 분위기 조성에 기여할 수있는 반전의 기회가 된다는 것이다. 셋째, 흡연청소년이 쉽게 임계점을 넘어 형성하는 반수업· 반학교적인 하위문화를 공식적인 문화로 흡수하는 연결망으로서 지도교사의 중심성이 네트워크 결절점으로 작동한다는 것이다. 넷째, 교사-흡연청소년의 유목적적인 일상의 경험활동이 누적되는 계속성의 원리가 상처를 치유하고 해방된 삶을 담보할 수있다는 것이다. 학교는 흡연청소년에 대하여 징계와 처벌의 대상으로 간주하고 학교 밖으로 배제와 추방을 하고 있으나,교사-흡연청소년 모두는 마땅히 해야 ‘할 일’ 을 해결하는 사고(思考)의 과정을 통해 상호간소속감과 인정을 받고 싶은 욕망이 있다. 하루종일 거주하는 실지 시공간으로서 학교(school)의 본래적인 여유(schole)가 회복될 때에 이를 구현하기 위한 다양한 해법을 모색해볼 수있을 것이다. This study aims at examining the issues and limitations of the current ways of treating the student smokers and exploring alternative ways to deal with them through transacting with them at a public middle school. To this end, auto-ethnography technique is employed, along with the memos in the field, teacher’s inspection journal, official letters and self-reminiscence materials. Contents Analysis and Structure Analysis (Ellis, 2004) are adopted to handle the collected materials. The school authorities need a more appropriate educational understanding and approach toward young smokers. At the school setting at the current time and space, the specific study results on teachers’ influence of the smoking students are as follows: A better way to treat smokers at school is not through stigmatizing or punishing them but through believing that they have inborn propensity that they want to realize the spirit of ‘Hongik Ingan’ - live and work for the benefit of all mankind. Second, they hang out together like peas in a pod, trying risky shifts, experiencing others, and in turn, creating tight fellowship, an ironical opportunity to create a more peaceful atmosphere on campus. On the other hand, to absorb their anti-class and anti-school sub-culture that the smokers easily create at school, teacher’s role to embrace them is critical. Finally, on reflection that rationalism has caused people to feel alienated from their real life, accumulative experiences of teacher-smokers’ meaningful activities might guarantee their healing and liberated life. The current Korean schools treat adolescent smokers as a target of disciplinary actions and punishments, finally driving them out for the elimination from school. Teachers and student smokers, however, know what they are supposed to do at school and want to do it. When a school restores its original time and space it can afford, only then, various ways to help them do it can be pursued.

‘예기치 않은 전환’을 겪은 한부모여성의 일 경험과 진로적응에 대한 내러티브 탐구

목적 본 연구는 예기치 않은 전환을 겪은 한부모여성의 일 경험과 진로적응에 대해 내러티브 탐구로 연구하였다. 이를 통해 한부모여성의 진로상담 및 사회적 지원에 대한 시사점을 제공하고자 한다. 방법 예기치 않은 전환을 겪은 한부모여성 3명을 연구참여자로 선정하고 내러티브 탐구방법으로 심층 인터뷰하였다. 자료수집기간은 2022년 7월부터 2022년 12월까지이며 2명의 연구 참여자와 예비인터뷰를 실시하고 연구 참여자마다 3회의 면담과 추가인터뷰를 실시하였다. Connelly(2000)의 내러티브 탐구절차에 따라 연구 참여자의 전환 경험, 일 경험과 진로적응은 어떠했는지 핵심주제를 범주화하고 자료 분석을 실시하여 내러티브를 재구성하였다. 결과 예기치 않은 전환을 겪은 한부모여성으로서 일 경험과 진로적응에 대한 내러티브는 ‘거꾸로 강을 거슬러 오르는 연어처럼’ 극복해야하는 이야기를 통해 변곡점이 된 시간이었으며, 미처 의미부여하지 못한 ‘잃어버린 시간을 찾아서’ 애쓰는 시간이었고, 이를 통해 스스로가 주인공이 되어 ‘내가 만든 울퉁불퉁한 길’을 걸어가는 여정이었다. 결론 예기치 않은 전환을 겪은 한부모여성의 일 경험과 진로적응에 대한 내러티브의 개인적 정당성은 일을 통해 새로운 정체성을 형성하고 삶의 의미를 새롭게 인식하게 된 것이다. 실제적 정당성은 일에 대한 의미부여와 진로적응의 중요성을 깨닫고 이를 통해 내적 또는 개인적 성장을 이루게 된 것이다. 사회적 정당성은 한부모여성의 일과 자녀양육 환경이 더 나아질 수 있도록 인식개선과 이를 위한 제도적 접근이 필요하다는 것이다. Objectives The purpose of this study is to study the work experience and career adjustment experience of single-parent women who experienced an unanticipated transition through narrative exploration, and to provide implications for career counseling for single-parent women. Methods Three single parent women who underwent an unexpected transition were selected as research participants and in-depth interviews were conducted using a narrative inquiry method. The data collection period was from July 2022 to December 2022, and preliminary interviews were conducted with two research participants, followed by three interviews and additional interviews with each research participant. According to Connelly's (2000) narrative inquiry procedure, the research participants' transition experience, work experience, and career adjustment were categorized into key themes and analyzed to reconstruct the narrative. Results As a single parent woman who underwent an unexpected turn, the narrative about work experience and career adjustment was a turning point through the story of overcoming ‘like a salmon going upside down in a river’, and the time of struggling ‘in search of lost time’ that had not yet been given meaning. It was a journey through which he became the main character and walked the ‘rugged road I made’. Conclusions The personal justification of the narrative about the work experience and career adaptation of single parent women who underwent an unanticipated transition is that they form a new identity and newly recognize the meaning of life through work, and the practical justification is that giving meaning to work and career adaptation are important, and through this to achieve inner or personal growth. The social justification is that it is necessary to raise awareness and take an institutional approach to improve the working and child-rearing environment of single-parent women.
