Smart Device Based Localization for Ship Block Logistics

In a ship block logistics application, acquisition of locations is required in order to identify location of the ship blocks. A Smart device equipped with a GPS sensor can be used as a mobile client for a ship block logistics application. However the precision of GPS components on a commercial smart device is not high enough. Therefore, using the GPS for localization may produce significant positioning errors in a ship block logistics system. This paper proposes a method to reduce errors in measuring locations using a smart device. Based on the knowledge of how the location information is used in a ship block logistics application, and the predictability of the client’s moving line based on geographical layout of a shipyard area, our proposed technique enables a better prediction of the ship blocks location. Performance evaluation shows that the proposed technique can significantly reduce the positional error.

Information System for decision making process is indispensable in information society. The information system should be able to provide required information at anywhere and anytime to everybody. Especially, regional information system is required to reduce the gab among the regions and to distinguish the characteristic of each region.In this research a regional information system which is organized with the area of culture, living, and economy is implemented. The system provide various daily and industrial information to break the information unbalance. Also, it will increase the competitive power of regional economy and regional industry.

본 논문은 서남권 도서벽지 지역의 의료 복지 정보시스템을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 구현한 의료·복지 정보시스템은 도서벽지지역의 농부 및 어부들에게 의료정보 및 다양한 일상생활 정보서비스를 제공한다. 정보시스템을 문헌조사와 관련분야 의료복지 정보시스템은 PC 486급의 호스트 시스템에서 구현되고, 3개의 작업용 개인 컴퓨터들과 공중통신망을 통하여 연결된다. 작업용 개인 컴퓨터의 사용자는 필요한 서비스를 호스트 시스템에 요구하면, 호스트시스템은 요구된 정보를 공중통신망을 통하여 작업용 화면에 보여준다. MWIS에서 제공하는 제반 의료·복지 정보들은 목포시청, 신안군 보건소 및 종합병원, 목포대학교 정보산업연구소등에서 지원한다. This paper proposer a Medical and Welfare Information System(MWIS) for island isolated regions located at the south-western areas is Korea. The MWIS provides medical and life information services for garmers and fishers lived is island and isolated regions. The host system for the MWIS and three working systems are connected via communication networks. An user with a working system can request any services to the host via the public communication networks, then the host displays the request at realtime. All information sources are supported by the Mokpo city Hall, the Sin-an gun health center, Mokpo National University research information center and ofter hospitals.

분산 시스템에서 개선된 O(logN) 상호배제 알고리즘 제안

본 논문은 분산 시스템에서 수행시간이 O(logN)으로 개선된 토큰 중심의 상호배제 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 이 알고리즘에서, 논리적 트리는 완전 연결(fully connected) 네트워크를 유지하며, 루트(Root)는 메세지 전송이 없을때 병행 요청 사이트들 가운데 토큰을 갖는 마지막 사이트이다. 사이트가 상호배제를 필요로 할 때, 그사이트는 토큰을 갖을 수 있는 사이트에 요청 메세지를 보내는 작업을 요청 메세지가 Root에 도착할 때까지 계속해 나간다. 따라서, 토큰을 탐색하는 메세지의 수는 Root에 도달하는 길(path)의 사이트 수에 비례한다. 토큰의 탐색속도를 향상시키기 위하여 알고리즘은 논리적 트리의 높이(hight)를 줄인다. 알고리즘의 메세지 수행시간은 N이 사이트의 수 일때 가벼운 traffic에서는 O(logN)이고, 복잡한 traffic에서는 3개를 감소한다. 본 알고리즘의 중요한 특성은 분산된 큐자료 구조를 사용하며, 이 구조는 토큰으로 자료 구조를 간단히 할 뿐 아니라 타임스탬프나 무한 수열의 사용을 제거하므로 신뢰도를 높여준다. In this paper, we present an O(logN) token-based mutual exclusion algorithm for distributed systems. In the algorithm, a logical tree is maintained in a fully connected network, and the root is the last site to get the token among the current requesting sites when no message is in transmission. When a site invokes mutual exclusion, it send its request to the site possibly holding the token. The request is continuously forwarded until it arrives at the root. Therefore, the number of messages for the search of the token is proportional to the number of sites on the path leading to the root. To speed up the research for the token, the algorithm reduces the hight of the logical tree. The message complexity of the algorithm is O(logN) in light traffic, where N is the number of sites, and is reduced to three in the heavy traffic. An interesting characteristic of the algorithm is the use of distributed queue data structure. The distributed queue data structure simplifies the data structure in the token, dispenses with the use of unbounded sequence numbers or timestamps, and provides a high degree of reliability.

효율적인 네트워크 관리를 위한 사용자 인터페이스에 관한 연구

Network management provides us with configuration management function, fault management function, performance management function, account management function, and security management function. A good Graphical User Interface(GUI) has been requested for users or network managers to monitor networking and to correct problems. In this thesisr, We design and implement GUI for a network management protocol used in the heterogeneous distributed environment. The designed GUI is developed by using Motif. Users easily select the managed object on the graphical map and execute commands through pulldown menus that are controlled by MWM. Our SNMP API provided access to MIB table to perform management operations, to set up the agent, and to include functions that return values of MIB.
