        인천공항공사 개방형 혁신 도입방안에 관한 연구

        Recently, companies and organizations are becoming increasingly dependent on external resources to keep their competitive advantages under the turbulence of global business environmental changes. Therefore, they focus on the paradigm 'Open Innovation (OI)' which is reported as a convincing strategy to improve competitive advantage in terms of budget and time-to-market. The management of Incheon International Airport Corporation (IIAC) also considers the introduction of Open Innovation not only to adapt the business environmental changes but also to be devoted its social role as a public corporation. In this paper, we describe how we derived the promotion tasks for the introduction of OI and prioritized the tasks, performing our research on the IIAC Open Innovation. For these purposes, this research conducted the following three steps; the first stage for the analysis of current situation on the IIAC Open Innovation, the second stage for the elicitation of promotion tasks, and the last stage for the prioritization of the promotion tasks. In the first stage, critical success factors (CSFs) for open innovation introduction were derived from different research papers and case studies. In the following stage, promotion tasks were elicited from the IIAC based on the CSFs. In the last stage, the promotion tasks were evaluated on the base of criteria by using Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). And then the promotion tasks were grouped by the result of the evaluation. In this case, thirteen promotion tasks were derived for open innovation, ten promotion tasks except three inevitable promotion tasks were evaluated, and then they were grouped into four categories based on the importance-possibility analysis.

        Open Innovation Platform-based Business Startup Incubation Model in Incheon International Airport Corporation

        More people travel oversea as the economic size of Korea is getting larger and more new jobs are requested to be created by the society. To respond to these trend and request, Incheon International Airport Corporation (IIAC) is about to expand its processing capability with a new terminal; 54 million passengers to 72 million. IIAC is also introducing new strategies such as open innovation (OI) and creating shared value (CSV). With these changes, IIAC faces new challenges of restructuring its business and organization with new ideas. Most organizations including IIAC are becoming more dependent on external resources to keep their competitive advantages under the turbulence of global business environmental changes. Therefore, they focus on the OI paradigm which is reported as a convincing strategy to improve competitiveness in terms of budget and time-to-market. OI is to quickly react to the rapidly changing business environment and is adopted to support startup incubation. In the previous research with IIAC, three major tasks were defined; utilizing the IIAC brand power for external vendors, building a technology road-map, and introducing a collaboration support system. This paper deals with the collaboration system as proposed in the previous research. We focused on the collaboration process for startup incubation. Cases were studied; the K-startup model by the government, a university model to explore youth startups, and a R&D institute model to study professional startups. Based on the case studies, we defined an IIAC model and proposed issues to take care of. The model is distinguished from the other studied models since IIAC is a prospective customer of new technology.

        포스트 코로나19 시대 공항의 디지털 트랜스포메이션을 통한 공항운영에서 혁신적 비즈니스 모델 적용 연구

        본 연구는 산업분야별로 발전되고 있는 디지털 트랜스포메이션(DX, Digital transformation)의 성공적인 적용방안을 조사하여, 코로나-19 팬데믹으로 인한 여행 건강 위험, 여행 제한 등으로 인하여 생존의 기로에 있는 국내의 공항들이 혁신적인 비즈니스 모델 적용을 통한 혁신과 새로운 도약의 기회를 마련하도록 기여 하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 연구자는 공항에 DX 적용방안을 연구하여 혁신적인 비즈니스 모델 구축의 기초자료를 제공하고자 하였다. AI, 빅데이터 측면에서 데이터 경제를 위한 DX, 스마트 공장 등 CPS를 위한 DX 그리고 비즈니스 모델 전환 및 고객 경험 전환을 위한 성공적인 DX와 관련한 선행연구와 사례를 분석하였고 아울러 공항 DX와 관련된 논문 검토를 통해, 공항운영의 특성과 코로나19로 인한 항공여행 불편성 증대로 생존의 기로에 있는 항공운송산업의 전면적인 혁신을 위한 성공적인 DX 적용방안을 연구하였다. 공항운영에서 DX의 황금룰 중 첫 번째 요건을 제시하여 공항운영 DX 성공 시 최종적인 모습을 도식화하였다. To accommodate disruptive business changes due to rapid advances in digital technology and the emergence of smart consumers, companies need to change their business paradigms. Accordingly, companies are utilizing digital transformation as a dynamic means of changing digital technology systematically to survive and grow. The airport industry is now in a survival situation caused by air travel disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. To drive innovation and transform the airport industry, research on the application of digital transformation is timely. Based on a literature review, this study identifies successful uses of digital transformation and considers its applications to areas of the airport industry. In the airport digital transformation framework, the main target areas are customer journey experience, airport operational processes, stakeholder relationships, and business models. We believe the application of a blueprint derived by applying digital transformation to the airport business would set directions for innovatory changes made necessary by the adoption of digital transformation.

        It is necessary to set up a new paradigm of airport service to survive among heavy competition of development in society, economy and IT technology. Competing airports to be a hub port, Incheon airport invest in IT infrastructure to realize such a new paradigm above. Incheon airport set up u-Airport system based on a master plan after surveying passengers. The survey indicated passengers satisfaction contributed to have Incheon airport be a winner of ASQ service and generate profit. It is also needed to design IT service frame work not only for sustainable growth of the airport but also to meet the needs of passengers to improve their satisfaction. It is the fact the research on IT service of airport will result in improving efficiency of airport operation and management performance.

      • 프로세스 기반의 연구 관리 시스템 구축에 관한 연구

        4차 산업혁명에서 핵심은 지능정보기술이다. 데이터를 처리하고 활용하며 새로운 유형의 정보를 생성하여 보유하여야만 급변하는 정보사회를 선도할 수 있다. 이제는 자급자족식의 데이터 수집에서 벗어나, 개방형 혁신환경을 조성하여 외부의 기술, 지식, 아이디어 등을 수용하여야 한다. 내·외부의 유연한 관계형성과 소통창구를 마련하여 유기적인 협의체를 구성하는 것이 중요하다. 이를 위하여 인천국제공항공사에서는 개방형 혁신 플랫폼 기반의 연구관리지원시스템을 구축하였다. 스타트업 플랫폼, R&D 협업지원, 연구관리지원 등 세 가지 요소로 구성된 본 시스템을 통해 기업의 사회적 책임 완수와 일자리 창출에 기여할 것으로 기대된다. 또한 프로세스 정립을 통한 연구 관리로 표준화된 연구과제관리 플랫폼을 마련하였다. 이를 통해 인천공항은 미래를 준비하는 공항 R&D 추진 체계 구축을 완료함으로써 일류 혁신 기업의 기반을 조성하였다.

        포탈의 검색 트렌드를 활용한 인천공항 출국자 수 예측 연구

        공항의 안정적인 운영을 위하여 승객의 단기예측은 매우 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 인천공항의 출입국자 예측을 위하여 출입국자의 대부분을 차지하는 한국인과 중국인의 출국자의 예측 모델링을 수행하였다. 예측 모델링 정확도 향상을 위해 네이버와 바이두 검색 트렌드 데이터를 활용하였다. 출국자 수들과 관련 검색 트렌드 데이터 간 Granger Causality 테스트를 수행하여 상관관계가 있음을 확인하였다. “출국자 수“ 단독으로 예측하는 것보다 “출국자 수”와 “검색어 트렌드” 자료를 합하여 예측하는 것이 정확도가 향상됨을 알 수 있었다. 이는 검색이 어떤 일을 수행하기 전에 하는 행위이기 때문이고, 검색 트렌드 데이터 내에 태생적으로 예측 기재가 존재함을 본 연구를 통하여 확인할 수 있었다. Short-term prediction of the number of passengers at the airport is very essential for the efficient and stable operation of the airport. Here, to forecast the immigration of Incheon International Airport, we perform the predictive modeling of Korean and Chinese outbound travelers comprising most of immigration. We conduct the Granger Causality test between the number of outbound travelers and related search trend data to confirm the correlation. It is found that the forecasting with both "outbound travelers" and "search term trends" data outperforms the one only with "outbound travelers" data. This is because search activities are done before doing something and this study confirms that search trend data inherently possess the potential for prediction.

        빅데이터를 활용한 인천국제공항 단기주차장 교통흐름 관리방안 연구

        Incheon International Airport(IIA) is the Korea’s leading airport, handling around 450 million passengers in 2014. IIA is famous for providing world-class level services to all airport users. The study regarding IIA’s performance are various including service quality, customer satisfaction, airlines baggages, sustainable airport business model. However, there are little research for the short stay airport users and related facilities such as parking area. This study examine the simulation model using the‘ Queueing Theory’regarding the‘ Short staying parking area’. As a result, we were able to predict the time and period that may result in congestion. This simulation study can be widely used by airport managers and practitioners, to manage the flow of vehicles and to solve the congestion in airport parking area.
