        돼지의 주요 경제형질에 대한 환경요인의 영향

        To investigate the genetic and environmental effects on the economically important traits in swine, data on 4.782 pigs tested from 1990 through 1993 at a test station were analysed. The statistical model applied for the analysis was consisted of sex, breed, purity, year and season of birth as main effects with the interaction of the year×season. Males bowed greater duly gain by about 50g, thiner backfat, and reached 90㎏ body weight earlier than females. By computing with the game index, the males showed greater values than females. Duroc showed faster growth, and thicker backfot, while Yorkshire was superior in feed conversion to the other two breeds. The backfat thickness was smaller in the pigs of 2nd parity, but the clays to reach 90㎏ body weight tends to be shorter in the pigs of 3rd parity. The pig bom in toll or winter grew faster than those born in spring or summer season. The year effect on most of the traits showed gradual progress representing the results of the selection and/or replacement effects by the parent stock imported from many foreign countries over a long, period.

        韓牛 牝牛의 Body Condition Score가 繁殖形質에 미치는 影響

        Data from five Hanwoo breeding farms were collected to analyze the effects of parity, season, nutrition and reproduction on body conditions of heifers and cows and to analyze the relationships of body conditions with reproductive performances and body growth. Analytic models included farms and parity which were run through SAS to estimate least squares means and correlation coefficients between traits - body condition scores(BCS) of 1(very emaciated) through 9(very obese) scale at service and at calving, calving interval, days to rebreeding, gestation length, number of services per conception. Overall averages were 4.55 for BCS at service, 5.42 for BCS at calving, 406.7days of calving interval, 287.7days of gestation length, 66.2days from calving to first service and 1.78 times of services per conception. Number of services per conception was 1.50~1.74 times for the cows of BCS 5 or under and 2.00~3.00 for those of BCS 6 or higher. Body weight of calves from cows observed averaged 23.3㎏ at birth and 70.7㎏ at weaning. 57 percent of cows showed BCS 4~5 at service while 46 percent of those showed 5~6 at calving. Extimated phenotypic correlation coefficients of BCS at service with BCS at calving, calving interval, gestation length, number of services per conception were low but positive: 0.16, 0.26, 0.08 and 0.06, respectively. Phenotypic correlations of BCS at calving with calving interval, gestation length and number of services per conception were estimated to be also low and positive: 0.10, 0.13 and 0.10, respectively. However, phenotypic correlation between calving interval and gestation length, and between gestation length and number of services per conception were negative but low as - 0.11 and -0.13 each.

        한국재래산양의 발육형질에 대한 유전능력 평가

        본 연구는 1996년부터 2000년까지 축산기술연구소 남원지소에서 사육되고 있는 한국 재래 산양의 발육형질 자료를 이용하였다. 조사형질로는 생시, 3개월령, 6개월령 체중으로 개체모형(Animal model)을 이용하여 분석하였고, 고정효과로 성별, 출생년도-계절, 사양형태를 고려하였으며, 각 형질에 대한 분산성분 및 유전모수를 추정하기 위하여 MTDFREML Program을 이용하였다 본 연구에서 얻어진 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 생시, 3개월령, 6개월령의 평균체중은 각각 1.78±0.32, 7.99±2.66, 12.08±3.20㎏이었고, 부수적으로 조사된 3개월령과 6개월령 평균체위는 각각 체고가 36.46, 40.27㎝, 체장은 38.06, 42.01㎝, 흉위는 45.56, 51.07㎝이었다. 생시, 3개월령, 6개월령 체중에 대한 개체의 유전력은 각각 0.66, 0.34, 0.27이었으며, 생시와 3개월령 체중에 대한 모체의 유전력은 각각 0.28, 0.03으로 추정되었고, 분산성분과 유전모수 추정결과 생시와 3개월령 체중에 대해서는 모체유전효과가 중요하게 작용되었으며, 3개월령 체중에서는 모체환경효과가 고려되어야 하나, 6개월령 체중에서는 모체유전효과가 중요하지 않는 것으로 분석되었다. Data were collected from 1996 through 2000 on Korean Native Goats by the National Livestock Research Institute of Korea were used to estimate genetic parameters for birth, 3 month, and 6 month body weights. Estimates were obtained with MTDFREML. Model included animal and maternal genetic and residual effect. The model included sex, birth, year-season, and feeding type as fixed factors. Average body weights and standard deviation were 1.78±0.32 at birth of age, 7.99±2.66 at 3 month of age, and 12.08±3.20 ㎏ at 6 month of age, respectively. Average body measurements were 36.46㎝ for withers height, 38.06㎝ for body length, and 45.56㎝ for heart girth at 3 month of age, and were 40.27㎝ for withers height, 42.01㎝ for body length, and 51.07㎝ for heart girth at 6 month of age, respectively. Estimates of heritability were 0.66 for birth weight, 0.34 for 3 month body weight, and 0.27 for 6 month body weight, respectively. Maternal effects would be important for birth and 3 month body weights and may not be needed in a model for 6 month body weight.

        개량단지 한우의 체중에 대한 환경요인의 효과

        This study was carried out to investigate overall performances and to estimate the effects of environmental factors on body weight in Korean native cattle on the basis of the records obtained from 15,569 heads of Korean native cattle raised at Hanwoo purebreeding region from 1989 to 1995. Overall least squares means and standard errors of body weights at birth, 3, 12 and 24 months of age were 23.77±0.15, 79.91±1.25, 232.08±3.22 and 341.45±5.05㎏, respectively. The effects of the breeding region, generation, year of birth and registry class on the birth weight were highly significant. The effects of the breeding region, generation, year and season of birth, and registry class were significant on the body weight at 3 months of age. The effects of the breeding region, generation, year of birth and registry class were highly significant on the body weight at 12 mo. The breeding region, year of birth, season of birth and registry class had highly significant effects on the body weight of 24 mo. cattles(P$lt;0.01).

        개량단지 한우 암소의 경제형질에 대한 유전력 추정

        The studies were carried out to estimate the heritabilities of body weights and body measurements in Korean native cattle on the basis of the records obtained from 15,713 heads of Korean native cattle raised at Hanwoo purebreeding region from 1987 to 1995. The heritabilities of the traits were estimated by the Becker's(1985) methods utilizing the variance and wvariance components of sire. The heritabilities estimates of the body weights at birth, 3, 12 and 24 months of age were 0.095±0.018, 0.243±0.036, 0.372±0.041 and 0.172±0.025, respectively. The heritabilies of withers height, hip height, body length, chest depth, chest width, rump length, hip width, thurl width, hipbone width, chest girth and shank circumference were 0.075, 0.134, 0.317, 0.250, 0.171, 0.192, 0.275, 0.192, 0.218, 0.243 and 0.220 at birth, 0.183, 0.226, 0.226, 0.341, 0.101, 0.175, 0.147, 0.090, 0.191, 0.213, 0.347 and 0.108 at 3 months of age, 0.350, 0.350, 0.342, 0.384, 0.283, 0.391, 0.399, 0.421, 0.395, 0.373 and 0.387 at 12 months of age and 0.305, 0.271, 0.188, 0.209, 0.140, 0.186, 0.188, 0.168, 0.275, 0.124 and 0.312 at 24 months of age, respectively.

The effects of the season of birth were significant on rump height, chest depth, chest width, rump length, thud width and chest girth. The effects of the parity of dam were significant on all of the body measurements except for shank circum. The effects of the purebreeding region and year of birth were highly significant on all of the body measurements at 24 months of age studied (P$lt;0.01). The effects of the generation were significant on rump length and rump width. The effects of the season of birth were significant on all of the body measurements except for chest girth and shank circum. The effects of the parity of dam were not significant on all of the body measurements. And the effects of the registry class were significant on all of the body measurements except for body length and chest depth.
