It is an introductory study of AFP measurement of normal adults sera and AFP positive sera, measured by EIA, RPHA, and DID methods. 1. The results obtained by the quantitative method between EIA and RPHA were analogous, but DID methods howed low sensitivity. 2. In the case of the concentration of AFP over 10,000ng/ml, we had to dilute the specimen times to obtain the result within the measuring field. 3. The results of AFP were appeare1 all under 10mg/m with EIA method from 30 normal adult`s sera. 4. EIA method needed a sophisticated technique because of it`s complexity and length of time
Dye-Binding법(法)에 의한 뇌척수액단백정량(腦脊髓液蛋白定量)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究)

A Literature review and comparative study about quantitative analysis of protein in Cerebrospinal Fluid by the Trichloroacetic acid (T.C.A) method and Dye-Binding method using Coomassie Brilliant Blue G-250 (C.B.B) were studied. The results were as folows; 1. The absorbance of standard calibration pattern for various concentration of protein using the method of C.B.B Dye-Binding shows continually decreasing as more dye is bound to protein, but the pattern shows stable and regular curvature. 2. At the concentration lower than 100mg/dl of protein , the Dye-Binding method is more sensitive than the T.C.A method , but T.C.A method is still useful since there is a linearity for the higher concentration of protein. 3. The Dye- Binding method is a rapid and microquantitative method, which requires only 100μl of serum and 10 minutes of time at room temperature. lt is more valuable for the determination of higher concentration of protein needed for dilution. 4. A Comparison of T.C.A method and Dye-Binding method shows good correlation coefficience and linear regression equation. 5. ln the precision test, the both method shows satisfied result of coefficient of variation of 1.0~1.66% in T.C.A method, and of 1.48~2.71% in Dye-Binding method. 6. The color developed by the dye was very stable within 4 hours.

Recent year, a MEC (Microbial Electrolysis Cell) is a promising technology for producing sustainable bio energies from AD via rapid degradation of high concentration organic wastes, VFAs(Volatile Fatty Acids), toxic materials and non-degradable organic matters with electrochemical reactions. For methane production in MEC, actual potential different between anode and cathode higher than theoretical one (0.14V) is necessary due to overpotential and internal resistances. Various researchers reported that the ranges of voltages for methane production are 0.2-0.6V. Most of them reported that 0.3V is optimum voltage for methane production, especially. In this study, for investigating optimum voltage to produce methane, various voltages (0.1-0.7V) were supplied to 6 sets fed-batch reactors. Cu, Ni, Fe coated graphite carbon was used as electrodes material, which distance between anode and cathode was 1cm. As the result, optimum voltage for methane production in a single-chamber MEC was 0.3V.
血淸(혈청)Sialic Acid의 臨床實用化(림상실용화)를 위한 硏究(연구)

The authors reviewed through some study to made use of serum sialic acid for clinic. The result were as follow; 1. A comparision of native method by serum sialic acid kit and modified method by ABA-200 chemistry analyser shows good correlation coefficience and linear regression equation. 2. In the healthy adult subjects, level of serum sialic acid was 59. 7 ± 8 . 29mg/ dl. 3. Level of serum sialic acid showed no difference between male and female in healthy adult subjects. 4. The results of serum sialic acid and ESR showed the rate of accord 86. 6% . 5. The results of serum sialic acid and TIA -cRP showed the rate of accord 85. 0%.

저자들은 일상 혈액형 검사에서 혈구형 검사만을 실시할 경우 발견할 수 없었던 cis-A2B3형 아버지와의 A1형 어머니 사이에서 O형의 아들이 출생된 cis-AB형 가계를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하며 수혈검사시 ABO식 혈액형에서 필히 혈구형과 혈청형을 실시하여야 할 것임을 제안하고자 한다. ABO discrepancy is difficult to inspections of one`s child confirmation and transfusion. Cause of ABO discrepancy have several of things and the authers introduced 1 case of the causes to you. ABO blood group is determinated by A and B genes located on each chromosomes which are inherited from parents.But cis-AB has been reported unusual inheritive of A and B genes on the same chromosome. By a routine blood typing, we have found that parent of cis-A2B3 type and A1 type can bear children of O type blood. From the fact above-mentioned, we have concluded that the above case cannot be predicted from Mendel`s laws. Therefore, We intend to report the truth with the conference books and propose that medical technologist must be tested cell and back typing certainly pretransfusion test.
