A heating flow discharged from a 4-way ceiling type indoor unit has been investigated to determine the design parameters for the optimal flow control. The flow was measured by a PIV(particle image velocimetry) system and an experimental model of 1/10 scale with a transparent room was devised by satisfying the Archimedes number. This similarity is generally used in cases where the forced convection has similar magnitude of the natural convection. To optimize the heating flow, several vane angles and vane control algorithms of cross and right angle controls were considered. Regarding the vane angle, experimental results show that 30$^{\circ}$is an optimal angle to avoid re-suction flows without significant increase in flow noise. Temperature distribution measured in the environmental chamber ensures the increased thermal comfort when compared to the case, 60$^{\circ}$angle. At the optimal angle, applying open/close control gives rise to more uniform distribution of the heating flow than without control. Especially, the cross-control seems to be satisfactory for thermal comfort.

When vortex shedding is locked-on to a single frequency oscillatory flow, the variations of vortex dynamics are investigated using a time-resolved PIV system. Wake regions of recirculation and vortex formation, dynamic behavior of the shed vortices and the Reynolds stress fields are measured in the wake-transition regime at the Reynolds number 360. In the lock-on state, reduction of the wake region occurs and flow energy distributed downstream moves upstream being concentrated near the cylinder base. To observe the dynamic behavior of the shed vortices, the trajectory of the vortex center extended to the inside of the wake bubble is considered, which describes well the formation and evolution processes. The Reynolds stresses and their contributions to overall force balance on the wake bubble manifest the increase of the drag force by the lock-on.

This study aims to propose a new model axial flow fan which attachs centrifugal blades, and to investigate the effect of centrifugal blades on the performance improvement of new model axial flow fan. A numerical simulation has been conducted using STAR-CD commercial code to solve the three dimensional incompressible Navier-Stokes equation for high Reynolds number $k-{\epsilon}$ turbulent model. Numerical simulation is carried out to investigate the detail phenomenon in the flow field and performance characteristics of new model and normal model fan. Calculation results are compared with normal model's results to investigate which centrifugal blades effect on velocity profile and pressure distribution at various flow field positions. and calculation results show that new model fan can improve the performance of total pressure.
연대 의무중대, 사단 의무근무대, 전방병원 피부과 환자의 비교 분석

Objectives; The purpose of the study is to analyze the patients visiting dermatology clinics in a regiment, division, and military hospital to check the current evacuation system. Methods; Medical records of the patients from May 2015 to April 2016 were analyzed retrospectively to reveal the most frequent 25 diagnoses in the three dermatology clinics. The number of the patients evacuated from the regiment or division to hospital and the reasons for evacuation were further investigated. Results; The number of patients visiting dermatology clinic in the regiment, division, and military hospital was 550, 437, and 8,660, respectively. Acne vulgaris, folliculitis, seborrheic dermatitis, viral warts, clavus, eczema, xerotic eczema, hand eczema, atopic dermatitis, allergic contact dermatitis, alopecia areata, acute urticaria, chronic urticaria, furuncle, epidermal cyst, benign tumor of soft tissue, tinea pedis, and onychomycosis were the most diagnosed dermatoses commonly in the three clinics. While the percentage of the patients diagnosed as insect bite, burn, pitted keratolysis, irritant contact dermatitis, cellulitis, onycholysis, paronychia, ingrowing nails, pompholyx were higher in the clinics of regiment and division, military hospital had more patients diagnosed as tinea cruris, scar, androgenic alopecia, herpes zoster, tinea versicolor and tattoo pigmentation. 7.8% of the patinets were evacuated to military hospital because of insufficiency of therapeutic instruments (38%), drug insufficiency (20%), a need for further evaluations (18%), surgical consultation (13%), and patients' request (10%). Conclusions; Our study is a basis to provide military doctors more selective and focused dermatology education on inflammatory dermatoses (e.g., eczema, xerotic eczema, hand eczema, allergic contact dermatitis), fungal dermatoses (tinea pedis, onychomycosis) and acute urticaria, and the right to decide evacuation of the patients to correct current evacuation system.
단일 카메라를 이용한 이상유동 기포율 측정방법의 개발과 응용

A measurement technique for void fraction has been proposed using a time-resolved two-phase PIV system and the bubble dynamics has been investigated in gas-liquid two-phase flows. For the threedimensional evaluation of the bubble information, both the images from the front and side views are simultaneously recorded into a high speed CCD camera by reflecting the side view image on a 45° oriented mirror to be juxtaposed with the front view image. Then, a stereo-matching technique is applied to calculate the void fraction, bubble size and shape. To obtain the rising bubble velocities, the 2-frame PTV method was adopted. The present technique is applied to freely rising bubby flows in stagnant liquid. The results show that the increase of bubble flow rate gives rise to the increase of bubble size and rising velocity at first. If it goes over a certain level, the rising velocity becomes constant and the horizontal velocity grows bigger instead due to the obstruction of other bubbles.

A 3-way valve has been applied to a distributor in a hot-water heating system and the performance of the system was evaluated in view of the variations of pressure drop and flow rate. The 3-way valve has been designed to bypass overplus hot-water when a control valve is closed. Note that the flow goes through heating pipeline in normal operation. In the present study, the measured pressure drops in each part of the flow paths show that the contribution to the total pressure drop is in the order of the supply header with control valves, piping system of each room and return header of the distributor, even though the amount of it is different according to the flow paths. As a result of performance test by sequential closing of the control valves, the variations of pressure drop and flow rate in the distributor with 3-way valves is much lower than those with previous 2-way valves, which prevent noises induced by pressure fluctuations.
