Purpose : The Purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of taping on the pain decrease in patient with medial epicondylitis. Methods : A total of 20 patients participated in this study. Group 1 of 10 subjects performed taping intervention three times a week. Group 2 of 10 subjects only therapeutic modalities for 30 minutes. We analyzed the descriptive statistics and one-way ANOVA by SPSS 12.0 for windows. Results : In comparison of VAS between pre and post value, the decrease of pain was significant in the experimental and control group(p<.05). In comparison of the difference of VAS score between the groups was significant difference at (p<.05). Conclusion : Taping techniques helped to lower VAS score in patients with medial epicondylitis. Further tirials, which give attention to these parts, are needed before any firm conclusions may be made.

Purpose: Diabetes mellitus (DM) has been shown to alter the properties of the bone and impair bone healing around a titanium implant. The aim of this study is to investigate whether the low-intensity pulsed ultrasound (LIPUS), which has been known to stimulate the bone healing, improve the osseointegration of the titanium implant in tibia of DM-induced rats. Methods: 16 rats were received streptozotocin (60 mg/kg) for inducing diabetes. A total number of 32 titanium implants were placed bilaterally into both tibiae of these rats. The right tibia of each rat received LIPUS application (10 min/day) during 7 days post-operation, while the left side received no treatment. The study was carried on for six weeks and the rats were sacrificed at 1, 2, 4, and 6 weaks postoperatively (4 rats for each week) for histomorphometric and histologic analysis. Bone-implant contact and bone area were measured. Comparisons between the groups were made using statistical analysis on histomorphometric analysis. Results: The histomorphometry parameters showed that the bone-implant contact and the bone area values have decreased in the late osseointegration periods (4, 6 weeks) compared to the early osseointegration periods (1, 2 weeks) in both two groups. The bone-implant contact values of the LIPUS group were somewhat higher than those of controls at 1, 2 weeks, but the difference was not statistically significant. The bone area values of the LIPUS group were also higher than those of controls at 1, 2 weeks, but the difference was not statistically significant as well. Conclusion: Results of this study indicate that LIPUS may have positive effects on early osseointegration but could not improve the long term stability of dental implants.

Purpose : This study aims to analyze the effect of abdominal respiration on back pain of an Elementary Schoolchild. Methods : The data was collected from April 9 to April 27. We analyzed the descriptive statistics and paired t-test by SPSS 12.0 for windows. Results : The results of the study were as follow : The comparison of change in visual analogue scale showed effective differences before and after diaphragmatic breathing exercise. Conclusion : Thus, this study indicates that have a positive effect on Back Pain of an Elementary Schoolchild. Further trials, which give attention to these parts, are needed before any firm conclusions may be made.

Vascular thrombosis and ischemic necrosis still remain the most significant threats to the survival of free flaps. To date, neutrophils have been implicated in the pathogenesis of postischemic injury. Several studies have demonstrated that modulating the neutrophil response to ischemia-reperfusion injury can decrease the extent of the injury. In addition, some authors noticed that mast cell counts were also increased in flaps exposed to state of ischemia/reperfusion. So, we designed to evaluate the role of mast cells in ischemia/reperfusion by blocking histamine and to compare the effect of L-arginine, a nitric oxide precursor which is known to prevent neutrophil-mediated tissue injury. Epigastric island skin flaps were elevated in 30 rats and rendered ischemic. Thirty minutes prior to reperfusion, the rats were treated with intraperitoneal saline, diphenhydramine, cimetidine, and L-arginine. The necrosis rate of flap at 7 days, the number of neutrophils and mast cells at 20 hours were evaluated. In conclusion, histamine receptor blockers as well as L-arginine significantly decreased flap necrosis in a rat skin island ischemia-reperfusion flap model, but the protective effect was not significantly different in both agent groups.
대기 중 다환방향족탄화수소 측정방법의 성능평가 - 하이볼륨 샘플링 및 GC/MS 분석방법을 대상으로

In this study, a measurement method was evaluated for the determination of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in the ambient atmosphere. PAHs were sampled by high-volume samplers, and were then analysed with a GC/MS system. Particulate PAHs were collected on $8"{\times}10"$ quartz fiber filter, while vapor phase PAHs were adsorbed on polyurethane foam (PUF). Target compounds included a total of 36 PAHs, which are known to be frequently detected in the urban atmosphere. It was not necessary to clean-up samples before samples were analyzed using GC/MS, and the overall performance of the method was tested by a variety of quality control and quality assurance schemes. It is generally known that the clean-up procedure can negatively affect the recovery of samples. Precision and accuracy was evaluated using SRM provided by US NIST, and the results were generally satisfactory and reliable. However, the GC/MS method appeared not to be adequate for 6-rings PAHs, such as coronene, due to its lower sensitivity. In addition, collection efficiencies for low molecular compounds, such as 2-rings PAHs, were poor because of the lower retention volume of the PUF adsorbent. As a result, it was concluded that the method based on high-volume sampling and GC/MS analysis can give very reliable data by simultaneous sampling of both particulate and vapor phases for 3-rings to 5-rings PAHs of environmental concern.

Prussian blue is known as a superior material for selective adsorption of radioactive cesium ions; however, the separation of Prussian blue from aqueous suspension, due to particle size of around several tens of nanometers, is a hurdle that must be overcome. Therefore, this study aims to develop granule type adsorbent material containing Prussian blue in order to selectively adsorb and remove radioactive cesium in water. The surface of granular activated carbon was grafted using a covalent organic polymer (COP-19) in order to enhance Prussian blue immobilization. To maximize the degree of immobilization and minimize subsequent detachment of Prussian blue, several immobilization pathways were evaluated. As a result, the highest cesium adsorption performance was achieved when Prussian blue was synthesized in-situ without solid-liquid separation step during synthesis. The sample obtained under optimal conditions was further analyzed by scanning electron microscope-energy dispersive spectrometry, and it was confirmed that Prussian blue, which is about 9.7% of the total weight, was fixed on the surface of the activated carbon; this level of fixing represented a two-fold improvement compared to before COP-19 modification. In addition, an elution test was carried out to evaluate the stability of Prussian blue. Leaching of Prussian blue and cesium decreased by 1/2 and 1/3, respectively, compared to those levels before modification, showing increased stability due to COP-19 grafting. The Prussian blue based adsorbent material developed in this study is expected to be useful as a decontamination material to mitigate the release of radioactive materials.

There was the intra-party conflict within Koguryo. In 551 Shilla advanced north and took possession of the Han River basin. In 552 Northern Qi(北齊) exerted pressure on the difficult Koguryo. Northern Qi possessed great strategic value. In 564 Shilla sent the delegates to Northern Qi. In 565 Shilla was invested by Northern Qi's emperor. But at that time Northern Qi was declining. At the end of 568, Koguryo which was spared from the northwest attack mounted an offensive against Shilla's region of North-East. So Shilla dropped back to south. Koguryo recovered the possession of Wonsan(元山) and sent a envoy to Wa three times from 570 to 574 In 570 the delegation of Koguryo arrived at Wa. The Koguryo's envoy had to spent more than 2 years to meet the king of Japan. It seemed to be difficult to reach a consensus regarding the issue to establish diplomatic ties with Koguryo. All Koguryo's efforts for the establishment of diplomatic relations ended in failure. The reason for that is the politic structure of Wa that three heavy hitters surround the king existed. The King and three heavy hitters disagreed about the establishment of diplomatic relations with the former enemy Koguryo.
