        격강구의 연소과정에서 생성된 격강구진의 항산화 효과

        Objectives: This study estimated antioxidant effects of the moxi with ginger tar (MGT); chemical combustion products produced by moxibustion with ginger during combustion. Methods: To do this aim, we investigated total polyphenol and flavonoid contents, SOD (superoxide dismutase) scavenging activity, ABTS (2.2-azino-bis-3-erthylbenzo-thiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) & DPPH(2,2-Dipheny1-1 -picryl-hydrazyl) radical`s scavenging ability of MGT. Results: Total polyphenol contents of MGT was 7.8±0.09 mg/g in 10 mg/ml, SOD activity was 42.51±3.39% in 200 ug/ml, DPPH radical scavenging effect of MGT was 83.24±0.01% in 200 ug/ml and ABTS radical scavenging effect was 41.88±0.16% in 200 ug/ml. Conclusions : In this study, the effects of moxi with ginger could be induced by not only heating stimulus on acupoints but also chemical stimulus produced during combustion of moxibustion, MGF. The advanced study about biological mechanism through meridian system, skin aging, and inflammation on MGT will be required.

        한의학 연구에 있어 의료서비스연구가 갖는 의의 고찰

        Objectives: Many researchers in western societies raised questions on methodological Limitations of randomized controlled trial (RCT) for studying Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM), and they have tried to find alternatives to RCT. Some of them recently have interest in health service research as one of the alternatives. Discussing the significance of health services research in CAM studies will be helpful to guide the researchers in Korea who are also interested in developing an appropriate research methodology for traditional Korean medicine. Methods: Previous studies on methodological issues of studying CAM and health service researches published in western societies until 2009 were searched mainly from Pubmed. The definition, main research domains, and research methods of health service research and the significance of it for researches on CAM were summarized. Results & Conclusions: Health service researches are important in two aspects. First, health service researches evaluate the actual practice of CAM, including the individualized diagnosis as well as treatment and interaction between practitioners and patients. Second, when evaluating the outcomes, they put an emphasis on subjective evaluation by patients as well as objective evaluation by doctors. Thus, it can reflect the treatment goals of CAM which is improving the overall quality of Life and the physical and psychological health. Therefore, health services researches such as descriptive studies, qualitative studies, outcomes studies including economic evaluation, and whole systemic research should be more utilized in order for studying traditional Korean medicine.

        학교급식 수산물 가격 결정에 대한 서울 지역 학교영양(교)사의 인식

        본 연구는 학교급식 수산물 식재료의 적절한 가격 결정을 위하여 공급업체와의 계약, 납품 현황 및 수산물 식재료의 사용 현황과 수산물 식재료 가격 인식, HACCP 적용 편익에 따른 영양(교)사의 가격 인식을 조사하였다. 대부분의 학교(96.5%)가 수산물 전문 취급업체로부터 납품받는 것으로 조사되었다. 납품 시 계약 위반을 경험한 학교가 42.1%였고, 특히 빙의로 인한 무게 감소를 이유로 반품 및 교환을 한 학교가 총 89곳(60.1%)인 것으로 나타났다. 현재 공급되는 수산물 식재료에 대한 만족도는 ‘제품의 가격’, ‘제품의 품질’, ‘원산지 진위’에 대한 항목에서 수의계약으로 납품되는 수산물이 경쟁입찰방식으로 공급되는 식재료보다 유의적으로 높아(P<0.05) 계약방법에 따른 수산물 식재료의 만족도는 차이가 있었다. 응답자들의 재계약 의도 또한 경쟁입찰로 선정된 공급업체보다 수의계약으로 선정된 공급업체에 대해 유의적으로 높게 인식하고 있는 것으로 조사되었다(P<0.001). 학교급식 수산물 식재료의 가격요소 반영 정도는 ‘이윤(5.96±1.15)’과 ‘HACCP 지정 및 유지 비용(5.57±1.40)’ 항목이 현재 납품되는 수산물 가격에 가장 크게 반영되는 요소로 인식하고 있었다. 반면 향후 수산물 식재료 가격 산정에 가장 많이 반영되어야 한다고 응답한 요소는 ‘HACCP 지정 및 유지 비용(5.29±1.39)’이고, 가장 낮게 반영되어야 한다고 인식된 요소가 ‘이윤(4.12±1.12)’인 것으로 조사되었다. 또한 ‘가공비용’을 제외한 나머지 5개 가격요소 모두 현재 가격 반영 정도와 향후 기대 가격 반영 정도 간의 유의적인 차이가 있는 것으로 조사되었다(P<0.05). HACCP 지정 수산물 식재료 구매 시 미지정 제품에 비해 얼마나 비용을 추가적으로 지불할 의사가 있는가에 대한 응답은 9.9%의 응답자를 제외한 대부분의 응답자들이 추가 지불 의사가 있는 것으로 조사되었다. 수산물은 산지에서 수확되는 생산량과 어획 시기에 따른 물량 확보의 가변성으로 시장 가격에 대한 객관성이 부족하다. 특히 학교급식에 납품되는 수산물 식재료의 가격은 재래시장이나 할인점 등에서 임의로 조사된 근거에 따라 전자입찰 예정가격이 산정되는 문제점도 있을 것으로 사료되어 수산물 식재료의 가격 산정과 관련하여 구매방법 전반에 대하여 논의가 이루어져야 할 것이다. 본 연구의 결과는 수산물 식재료의 가격 산정에 대한 소비자 측면에서의 가격 인식과 수산물 식재료의 구매에 관한 정보를 제공함으로써 학교급식에서 양질의 수산물을 공급하고, 합리적인 수산물 가격 결정을 통해 수산물의 소비를 촉진하는 데 기여할 것으로 기대된다. The purpose of this research was to scrutinize dieticians" perspective of seafood ingredients prices in school food-service. Suppliers" contract status, seafood ingredient usage and satisfaction, expectations regarding prices of seafood ingredients, and willingness to pay when HACCP is taken into account were studied. Through random sampling, the survey was conducted on 231 dieticians in 11 different educational districts and 12 elementary, six middle, and three high schools. Ultimately, 142 survey responses were taken into account. Data analysis was performed using SPSS v15.0 by descriptive analysis, χ<SUP>2</SUP>-test, and t-test. For contracts regarding seafood ingredients, competitive contracts composed 79.7%. Exactly 42.1% responded that contracts were breached, and 60.1% testified that product returns were due to excessive glazing of ingredients. The satisfaction rate of "hygiene & sanitation of product" was the highest, whereas "price of product" was the lowest. For "recontracting intention", "informal purchasing" showed higher rates compared to "competitive bidding". Reflecting upon the six main price factors, "designation and maintenance of HACCP", "price of raw seafood ingredients", "processing costs", "margin", "logistic costs", and "cost of standardizing seafood ingredients", dieticians" perceived "impact on the anticipated price" on total cost was lower than present counterparts. This implicates that "impact on the present price" of the six price factors is too excessive, suggesting that many dieticians are unsatisfied with the current prices of seafood ingredients. Furthermore, 52.8% of dieticians stated that the maximum additional payment of HACCP seafood ingredients should be less than 5%. Consequently, this research serves as basic information for reasonable pricing of seafood ingredients and contributes to increased seafood usage by school food-services.

        초등학생의 한국어 음운처리 기술과 영어 어휘력 및 어휘학습과의 관계

        This study investigated the relations among Korean phonological processing skills, English vocabulary knowledge, and the learning of new English words in 6th grade children. The children were tested in phonological awareness, phonological short-term memory, and naming speed tasks, as well as English vocabulary and paired-associate learning of Korean-English word pairs. Most tasks were significantly correlated with English vocabulary and paired-associate learning. In regression analyses, phonological awareness, short-term memory, and naming speed significantly predicted English vocabulary; and English vocabulary and naming speed predicted paired-associate learning. These results suggest that Korean phonological awareness, naming speed, and short-term memory are associated with English vocabulary knowledge and learning. These findings support the transfer of phonological processing skills across second languages.

        흰쥐의 TNBS 유발 대장염에서 전침(電鍼)의 대장(大腸) 흥분성(興奮性)에 미치는 효과(效果)

        Objectives: Single colorectal instillation of trinitrobenzenesulphonic acid (TNBS) causes a dose-dependent increase of visceral motor response (VMR) and severity of inflammation. In this study we compared the effects of electroacupuncture in the different acupoints in the acute colitis induced by TNBS intracolonic injection in rats. Methods: In Male Sprague-Dawley rats, weighing 250~400g, a single colorectal administration of TNBS 5mg/kg and 50% ethanol under isoflurane anaesthesia after an overnight fast. Electrodes for electromyography (EMG) recording were stitched into the external oblique musculature under general anesthesia. Acupoints of LI4, ST25, or ST36 were stimulated by electroacupuncture, respectively. The balloon was inserted intra-anally and visceral motor response (VMR) to colorectal distensioin (CRD) was quantified with an EMG recording system. Results: At an observation of the visceral hyperalgesia in the day-time series, the visceromotor response increased significantly 3 days after TNBS intra-rectalcolonic injection in rats. Electroacupuncture on either ST25 or ST36 suppressed the visceromotor response to colorectal distension, but not LI4, at 3 days after TNBS injection. Pretreatment of naltrexone (10 mg/kg, i.p.), opioids antagonist, inhibited the VMR suppress of 10Hz EA to ST36 but not phentolamine (5 mg/kg, i.p.). Pretreatment of either naltrexone or phentolamine inhibited effects of 10Hz EA to ST25. Conclusions: Data show that EA at either ST25 or ST36 potently inhibits hypersensitivity of colorectum after TNBS induced colitis and is differently mediated through the endogenous opioid system and adrenergic system.
