본고는 가사에 수용된 속담들을 문맥 안에서 담당하는 역할과 성격에 따라 구분하여 살피고 그 의미를 밝힌 것이다. 속담은 간결한 표현으로 일상 체험에서 얻은 생활의 지혜를 비유적으로 나타낸다. 그러나 텍스트 내에 수용된 속담의 성격은 작품의 문체적 특성에 따라 차별화되어 나타난다. 이에 따라 2장에서는 가사의 장르적 특성을 염두하여 가사에 수용된 속담을 제시되는 전후 상황에 밀착하여 다음 서술을 전개하는 ‘서술 확장적 속담’과 상황을 요약·정리하고 그 상황의 요점을 기술함으로써 그 성격을 규정하는 ‘서술 집약적 속담’으로 분류하여 텍스트 내 수용된 양상을 분석하였다. 3장에서는 신문이라는 매체에 기반하여 창작된 계몽가사에 쓰인 속담의 특징을 살펴보았다. 인쇄매체의 특성에 따라 문어적 성격이 강화된 속담의 양상과 속담이 근대적 자각을 고취하고 대중적 설득을 얻기 위한 표현기법으로 사용된 점을 확인할 수 있었다. This study examines the proverbs accepted in the Gasa according to their role and character in the context, and clarifies their meaning. The proverb is a concise expression, figuratively expressing the wisdom of life gained from everyday experiences. However, the character of the proverb accepted in the text appears differentiated according to the stylistic characteristics of the work. Therefore, Chapter 2 examined the ‘Narrative-expansion proverbs’ that develop the following descriptions in close proximity to the context in which proverbs accepted in the Gasa presented with the genre characteristics of the lyrics in mind. In addition, the entity analyzed ‘Narrative-intensive proverbs’ that define their nature by summarising and organizing the situation and describing the main points of the situation. Chapter 3 examines the characteristics of proverbs used in enlightenment-gasa based on the media of newspapers. It was confirmed that the aspects of proverbs, whose written characteristics were strengthened according to the characteristics of the print media, and that proverbs were used as expression techniques for enlightenment.

This study was conducted to evaluate the antihyperglycemic effects of three phytoestrogens, genistein, coumestrol, and enterolactone, in type 2 diabetic animals. Forty male C57BL/KsOlaHsd-db/db mice were used as a diabetic animal model. The animals were divided into four groups and fed a phytoestrogen-free AIN-76 diet (control), or one of three phytoestrogen-supplemented (3.75 mg/100 g diet) AIN-76 diets for six weeks. During the experimental period, fasting blood glucose levels were measured on week 0, 2, 5, and 6 of the experiment, and oral glucose tolerance tests were performed on the 5th week. After the experimental period, blood concentrations of HbA1c, insulin, and glucagon were measured, and hepatic glycogen content and glucose regulating enzyme activities were analyzed. Fasting blood glucose, HbA1c level, and the area under the blood glucose curve in the oral glucose tolerance test were significantly lower in all of the phytoestrogen-supplemented groups compared to the control group. Plasma glucagon levels were also significantly lower in all of the phytoestrogen-supplemented groups compared to the control group. Hepatic glycogen level was significantly higher in the coumestrol-supplemented group compared to the other groups. However, there were no significant differences in the activities of glucokinase and glucose-6-phosphatase between the groups. These results suggest that all of the three major phytoestrogens tested in the present study were effective in lowering blood glucose levels in type 2 diabetic animals. However, further studies need to be conducted to elucidate the exact mechanism for the hypoglycemic effects of phytoestrogens. (Korean J Nutr 2011 44(4): 275 ~ 283)

An experimental study has been conducted to elucidate the effect of AC electric field on behaviors of laminar lifted flame in nitrogen-diluted methane coflow-jets. Our concerns are focued on the regime to show a decrease in liftoff height, HL with increasing nozzle exit velocity, UO (hereafter, decreasing-HL). The HL with UO near flame extinction were measured by varying the applied AC voltage, VAC and frequency, fAC in a single electrode configuration. The behavior of HL with a functional dependency of VAC and fAC was categorized into two regime : (I) HL decreased for nozzle diameter, D = 1.0 mm, and (II) HL increased in the increase of fAC for a fixed VAC in a D = 4.0, 8.4 mm. The lifted flames in decreasing-HL region was unstable in high voltage regimes while the HL showed a decreasing tendency with UO except them. Such behaviors in HL were also characterized by functional dependencies of related physical parameters such as VAC, fAC, UO, fuel mole fraction (XF.O) and D.
