The distribution character of Phenols from seven sewage and wastewater treatment plants and two industry drains from Gyeongbuk province were investigated. Six Phenols were tested and samples were taken from four different times, May 2008 to November 2008,. As results, Phenols were not founded, but they were still suspected to be existed at some sampling sites. Micropollutants could affect human health even with extremely low concentration levels. Therefore, supervising and monitoring systems are needed to maintain proper management for those pollutants.

In this study, the possible managements for nondegradable organic matters were proposed and the study requires further researches which include experimental studies to prove proposed managements in thish study.
