Esophageal atresia associated with tracheoesophageal fistula is a congenital anomaly of primitive foregut development, which induces the respiratory distress in the early newborn period. There are many reports about development on treatment of this abnormality in foreign countries, but in this country its survival rate is very low until now. Authers have experienced a case of the esophageal atresia which is associated with dextrocardia. right pulmonary aplasia and tracheoesphageal fistula. We present the case and review the related literatures briefly.

This study was performed to develop for korean product of culture media which favors the growth of various kinds bacteria from the extract of sea mussel(Mytilus crassitesta). The new medium was tested for the growth of salmonella, shigella, proteus, E, coli, enterobacter, vibrio, pseudomonas, staphylococcus and their ability to form colonies, compared with S-S, MacConkey and TCBS agar media. The following results were obtained. 1. All the bacteria of Enterobacteriaceae family grow well on sea mussel agar media, and shigella dysenteriae grow best especially. 2. Most bacteria of Vibrionaceae family were inhibited on sea mussel agar media. 3. Sea mussel agar was the best media for the isolation and selection of pseudomonas aeruginosa. 4. The growth of Staphylococcus aureus were highly inhibited on sea mussel agar media.
Eosinophilic Gastroenteritis -1예 보고-
배선익,김형철,한창규,허경발 순천향대학교 1988 논문집 Vol.11 No.1
Eosomphilic gastroenteritis is characterized by peripheral eosinophilic, eosinophilic infiltration of the bowel wall to a variable depth and symptoms associated with gastrointestinal tract. The pathogenesis and pathophysiology of this condition are poorly understood. Although it is often regarded as allergic origin, trials of ellimination diet generally have been unsuccessful, and relatively little evidence for an allergic mechanism has presented. The unusual features in a 30 year old man with ileal submucosal eosinophilic infiltrations are described. He presented the symptoms and signs of acute appendicitis. We have experienced one case of eosinophilic gastroenteritis that was managed by segmental resection and end-to-end anastomosis of ileum. In this paper, one case of eosinophilic gastroenteritis is described presenting as mimic of acute appendicitis.
