The purpose of this study was to grasp the essential meaning of regenerative power experienced after living with COVID-19. In this qualitative study, phenomenology was used to understand the essential meaning of the regenerative energy produced by living with COVID-19. The data of 12 subjects introduced by a member of a family with a COVID-19 infected individual were collected using a snowball sampling method and analyzed. Data collection was carried out repeatedly to saturation. Experience of regenerative energy after living with COVID-19 was identified using 9 themes, namely, 'the ability to withstand increasing external pressure', 'the ability to withstand potentially explosive internal pressure', 'the ability to generate immunity, 'the ability to adapt to environmental changes (adaptability)', 'the ability to survive on one's own (autogenousness)', 'the ability to maintain homeostasis', and the abilities to cope with the threats posed by 'remaining infected cells, 'incompletely modified tissue cells', and 'stem cells in damaged tissues', These results of this study provide basic data for self-reliance promotion and self-development of those living with COVID-19.
