This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of heating system and floor form on housing environment and performance in meat type duck production. PVC pipes in Open floor house-Floor heating system(OF) were covered with concrete under the litter. Loft type house-Direct heating system(LD) was designed duck's droppings to pass floor under 50㎝ spacing. Each treatment had four replicates of 25 birds(Cherry Valley duck breed) each. Feed intake in OD for 6 weeks was significantly lower than Open floor house-Direct heating system(OD) and feed conversion ratio in LD was significantly higher than OF(p<00.5). CO2 and NH3 concentration in OD was higher than OF and LD. Litter moisture contents was reduced in OF than OD. The results of this experiment show that OF and LD systems was useful housing environment for duck production.

This research was carried out to evaluate the carcass weight and carcass rate in different breed of meat type duck. Carcass weight and carcass rate were no significantly different by treatment at 6 week and 8 week, but Cherry valley and Grimaud showed the highest compared to F1 at 6 week, F1 duck showed the highest carcass weight rate compared to Cherry valley and Grimaud. However, Grimaud were significanly different in abdominal weight compared to F1 at 6 week (p<0.05), and Grimaud were significantly different in abdominal weight compared to Cherry valley and F1 duck at 8 week (p<0.05). Grimaud were significantly different in abdominal fat rate compared to cherry valley and F1 duck at 6 week and 8 week(p<0.05). Cherry valley showed the highest neck, thigh, breast, wing weight compared to Grimaud and F1 duck at 6 week. For 8 week, Cherry valley and Grimaud showed the highest thigh, breast, wing, back weight compared to F1 duck.
