한・일 문학에 나타난 이상향(理想郷) 의식 연구 - 청학동과 가쿠레자토(隠れ里)를 중심으로 -

In this paper, we examined similarities between Cheonghakdong and Kakurezato, which are different lands in mountains expressed in Korean and Japanese literatures, and then compared the consciousness for Utopia projected on it based on the social changes at that time. Cheonghakdong and Kakurezato are shown as an ideal paradise space drawn in the remote and secluded place in the mountains. These two paradises consist of small members and self-sufficient communities centered on agriculture, except for some parts of utopia of Japan. Those places deny a discrimination based on the hierarchy, eliminate tax deprivation and war suffering, and aim for joint labor and equitable distribution. This kind of paradise of natural state was intentionally recorded in the time of late Joseon and Edo. Although both periods had difference in the type of politics, such as Royal authority system and Shogunate system, they all gradually showed contradictions of a modern social system and a collapse of the self-sufficient economic order by the development of a commodity-based and monetary economy. In the course of these similar social changes, the desire and expectation for a better society that had grown in response to the complaints and frustrations of the people to a longing for paradise. The awakening of the modern consciousness toward a better life with equality, freedom, peace, and abundance, included in the paradise, definitely broadened the horizon of the history of each domestic literature and contributed to social development to a certain degree. 本稿では、韓日文学に形象化されている理想郷の青鶴洞と隠れ里の類似性を探り、その上で、その理想社会に投影されているユートピア的意識をそれらが構想された時代の社会変動に依拠して比較してみた。 その結果、青鶴洞と隠れ里は、共に現実世界から隔離されている山中に世を避ける人々が構築した、理想的な社会の姿に現れていることがわかる。この両国の理想郷は比較的小規模の村落となっており、経済面では、一部を除いて基本的に農業を中心に自給自足する共同体である。そこでは貴賎上下の差別を否定し、税金搾取と戦争の苦痛も排除し、共同労働と公平分配を志向している。このような自然状態という楽土が朝鮮時代後期と江戸時代の記録によく現れているが、その当時両国の政治形態においては王権体制と幕藩体制という違いを見せるものの、共に近世の社会制度の矛盾が次第に表出し、地主の成長と貨幣経済の発達による搾取と富の不平等な分配が拡大・深刻化し、それに伴って自給自足的な経済秩序が崩壊されつつあった。このような類似した社会変動の中で被支配層の不満と挫折との反動で高まりつつあった、よりよい社会に対する願望と期待がユートピアへの憧憬につながったといえる。

As for Iyeodo that Jeju people have imagined for a sea, ‘Ieodo‐like Socotra Rock’ of an underwater rock was discovered and so people have different opinions pertaining to issues such as how it was made, whether it exists or not, and etc. In this study, we attempt to have a solid aspect that Iyeodo is a conceptual island and its symbol is universal, through searching concepts on ‘Tokoyo’, ‘Nyogonoshima(女護島)’, and ‘Nirai Kanai’ in Okinawa, which Japanese people have thought about marine areas showing similarity in many aspects. As a result of analyzing these three another worlds in Japan, the double‐sided image of the overlapped brightness and darkness and features of its formation for them are common to the image of Iyeodo, which is passed down to the island of abundance of the original thoughts, the afterlife, enchanted land, and etc. The similarities between these two countries can only be thought of as a universal phenomenon caused by the thoughts of each maritime peoples in the same environment of island nations.

지난 2009년, 김연아 선수를 크리스마스 씰의 모델로 선정하면서 협회는 일러스트 위주의 크리스마스 씰이 아닌 색다른 씰을 원했고, 그러한 과정에서 만나게 된사람이 '심(心)크리에이티브' 박주석 대표였다. 결론부터 말하자면 2009년 크리스마스 씰은 큰 호응을 얻었다. 김연아 선수에 대한 호감과 전체적인 씰 디자인이 맞아떨어져 남녀노소 고른 호응을 보였고, 덕분에 2009년 크리스마스 씰 모금은 순조롭게 진행이 되었다. 하지만 이런 2009년의 성과로 인해 2010 크리스마스 씰 제작에 있어 고민이 깊어졌다. 과연 어떤 소재, 어떤 디자인으로 제작해 모금을 할 것인가? 협회는 "효달사랑" 을 주제로 크리스마스 씰 수요층의 마음을 열기 위해 다시 한 번 심(心)크리에이티브의 문을 두드렸다. 10월 1일 2010년 크리스마스 씰 발행을 앞두고, 심크리에이티브 박주석 대표와 이야기를 나눠보았다. 다음은 박주석 대표와의 일문일답.
