The National Research and Development(R&D) has put a greater emphasis on development of a market- and customer-oriented technology and its commercialization in the market. To promote commercialization of technologies invented through the national R&D, many governmental and public organizations have been offering various assistance programs. In spite of these assistance programs, the commercialization rate of the Korean national R&D outcomes is relatively lower than other advanced countries including the United States and European countries. Thus, this paper analyzed 24 R&D commercialization assistance programs which are provided by several institutions in the four different nations. As a result of analysis, we recommended the areas for improvement in the Korean R&D commercialization assistance programs. Also we suggested a framework driving an effective collaboration among the institutions assisting commercialization, the institutions funding and managing R&D, and the people performing R&D.
Piezoelectric효과와 열 효과 모델링을 고려한 AlGaN/GaN HFET의 DC 특성

In this paper, we report on the DC characteristics of the AlGaN/GaN HFETs using physical models on piezoelectric and thermal effects. Employing the models was found to be essential for a realistic prediction of the DC current-voltage characteristics of the AlGaN/GaN HFETs. Though use of the implementation of the physical models, peak drain current, transconductance, pinch-off voltage, and most importantly, the negative slope in the current were accurately predicted. The importance of the heat sink effect was demonstrated by the comparison of the DC characteristics of AlGaN/GaN HFETs fabricated from different substrates including sapphire, Si and SiC. Highest peak current was achieved from the device with SiC by an effective suppression of heat sink effect.
Recessed-gate 4H-SiC MESFET의 DC특성에 관한 연구

DC characteristics of recessed gate 4H-SiC MESFET were investigated using the device/circuit simulation tool, PISCES. Results of theoretical calculation were compared with the experimental data for the extraction of modeling parameters which were implemented for the prediction of DC and gate leakage characteristics at high temperatures. The current-voltage analysis using a fixed mobility model revealed that the short channel effect is influenced by the defects in SiC. The incomplete ionization models are found out significant physical models for an accurate prediction of SiC device performance. Gate leakage is shown to increase with the device operation temperatures and to decrease with the Schottky barrier height of gate metal.
국가 R&D 사업의 계획단계 강화를 위한 분석 및 제언

In spite of increased R&D budget, the government has not produced outstanding and notable outcomes that have widespread effects on industries and economies. Lacking of solid planning for the R&D projects before they implement is one of the leading reasons. This study conducted case studies for the R&D projects implemented in Korea and other foreign countries, and made suggestion on how to improve the planning practices for the large-scale governmental R&D projects. The purpose of this study is to provide an implications on the policies about the nation-wide R&D planning system.
어깨 안정화운동과 맥켄지 신장운동이 전방머리자세에 미치는 영향

Purpose : The purpose of this study was to find out the effect of exercise on the angle and distance between scapular stability and McKenzie stretch exercise. Method : 30 volunteers took part in this experiment and we divided into three groups(experimental group A, experimental group B, control group C). Experimental group A performed scapular stabilization exercise and experimental group B performed McKenzie neck stretching exercise and control group didn’t perform any exercise. Experimental group(A, B) received a total of 12 exercise session over a 4 week period (three times per week). Posture and craniovertebral angle changes of the neck using GPS measurements reported. Result : The CVA and distance change after exercise were significantly reduced in the experimental group A and B. Conclusion : Therefore, we have confirmed through experiments reducing a CVA and distance between scapular stabilization and McKenzie neck stretching exercises, whereby we would also be helpful to ensure the treatment of forward head posture.

An important and cotinuing research effort has been concentrated to estimate safety for behavior of soil nearby construction site. This construction under ground would cause the soil to deform and vibrate at any direction. This paper presents to estimation of safety for movement and reliability for vibration due to steel tube jacked under ground.
