본 연구에서는 많은 phenolic OH group을 가진 dieckol의 다양한 mono-substituted derivatives를 합성하며, 많은 phenolic OH group 중 하나만 좋은 이탈기들을 가진 화합물들과 반응하도록 최적화를 진행하였다. 반응의 진행은 TLC로 확인하였으며 반응물은 컬럼 크로마토그래피를 통하여 분리, 정제하였다. 생성물은 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, 2D-NMR (NOESY, HSQC, HMBC) 등을 통해 분석하였다.

Missing of the upper posterior dentition can cause alveolar bone resorption & pneumatization of Maxillary sinus wall, which makes traditional implant placement impossible, The solution includes various methods to the posterior maxilla to provide adequate bone support for implant installation and long-term survival. -- sinus floor elevation, sinus-lift graft, inlay graft using LeFort I osteotomy, onlay graft, This is a clinical Sr. retrospective study on implant surgery & prosthodontic restoration with upper edentulous posterior jaw from Jan. 1990. to Jun. 1997 at implant clinic of Chonbuk National University Hospital. The results obtained were as follows: 1. Six hundred ninety-nine implants were placed on upper posterior jaw of two hundred seventeen patients, among them one hundred sixty-five implants were placed in forty-four patients with sinus lift. 2. The height of the remained alveolar bone was classified on the base of Misch's concept. This included seventy-nine SA-1s, ninety-seven SA-2s, sixty-five SA-3s and sixty SA-4s. 3. Ninety percent of implants were successfully integrated in non-grafted area and eighty-seven percent of implants were successully integrated in sinus lift area.

Dentofacial deformity cases who had undergone orthognathic operation in our depart ment were clinicostastically observed during the past 10 years(1993.1-2002.7.) This is a clinical study on 388 patinets who underwent orthognathic operation at the Dept. of oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, College of Dentistry, Chonbuk National University The ratio of female to male was 1.2:1. The age distribution of most patients was the period of 20 years, the mean age was 21.32 years. The kind of diagnosis of dentofacial deformity patients and the number are as follows; Mn. prognathism 291cases, Mn. retrognathism 35cases, Mn. prognathism + Mx. retrognathism 19cases, Mx. prognathism 16cases, Facial asymmetry 12 cases, Mn. retrognathism + Mx. prognathism 8cases, Bimaxillary protrusion 4cases, Mx. retrognathism 3cases. The ratio of setback amounts between 10 to 20mm was 47.4% and the advancement amounts between 5 to 10mm was 68% in the sagittal split ramus osteotomy The cases of genioplasty between 1 to 5mm was 68cases and between 5 to 10mm was 96cases. In the Lefort I osteotomy, the cases undergone operation composed of impaction only at the ratio of 56% and impaciton with advanced at the ratio of 34%, impacion with setback at the ratio of 10%. The ratio of cases fixed by screw & miniplate was 94%, by wiring was 6%.
Preparation and Analysis of Polymer Using Thermoreversible Diels-Alder Adduct

Many studies using the thermoreversible Diels-Alder reaction have been reported. In this study, the synthesis and optimization of monomers used for polymer synthesis was conducted through Diels-Alder reaction between a compound having a furan moiety and a compound having a bismaleimide moiety, and the synthesized compound was analyzed by 1H-NMR. This polymer was developed using a prepolymer with a hydroxyl group, which is the polymer skeleton, and a synthesized monomer, and the synthesized polymer was analyzed through FT-IR. The synthesized polymer was subjected to a reverse reaction in a solvent, and the decomposed compound was analyzed through 1H-NMR.
