A culture evolves into the historical profundity through reiterated genetic transformations. Subordinated to the web of cultural cross-over, the architectures of the world grope for regional negotiations. In this genetic framework, a dominant or a recessive genotype is selected and converged into consilient mutation. Although generally based on the Baroque art and literature, the Brazilian Architecture in colonial period was mutated by 1) complicated racial mixture, 2) religious culture imported with African slaves, 3) Brazil-Baroque tuned into the inner rhythm. Brazil chose the western refinement without hesitation instead of the vernacular wildness when this Baroque protoplasm was conflicted with the modernization process. The changing motives in the negotiation between the liberation and globalization were -similar to the most of the third world countries- formed upon the unstable social foundation from the propaganda and vulnerable economy. Brazil, however, has the constancy of sunray, shade of trees, soil, scenery, inherent laziness, optimism, and lyricism of scale. The Brazil Modernism differs from the general modernity in that it has been evolved through supplementary lessons from the modern architecture on the seedbed of this Brazilian constancy.

The meaning of Landscape is changing. It meant the natural environment, but it is including the meaning of urban landscape recently. After its meaning changed, architecture began to be concerned about urban landscape. And our architecture was including our urban landscape too.
The process of including urban landscape used the visual structure. The visual structure means way to watch the landscape. I think about the influence of the visual structure on the landscape painting. The difference between the Oriental landscape painting and the West landscape painting is the visual structure. Our architecture applies the visual structure to our design.

A city pictorially represents the culture of itself as posters or postcards for city tourism. A culturescape is drawn as habitus of a City. But a city totally represents its culturescape which is accumulated with time, to share with others. Therefore, it is a mode of communication, and accumulated experiences and the result of altruism. So a culturescape is understood as a social language structure with literary figure and allegory. In that sense the culturescape of a city cannot be represented as mere drawings of urban planning or structured codes. The culturescape of a city should 1 / include discourses inside itself, and 2 / broaden the materials for representation to include various phenomena; 3 / it is important to read the structure of a cityscape as an algorithm; 4 / a culturescape is nothing but the ethics of citizen culture, but 5/ it is necessary to keep civic prides and concrete indemnification.

The tendency of formalization in Contemporary Architecture deeply relies on the thought of Western Philosophy, which emphasizes the art of image perceived visually but ignores the body and perception of a human being who uses the architecture and lives in it. But, human reason removed of human body could only look at itself as a subject, being unable to think of human body as a social phenomenon. This study aims to make people again aware of the importance of space experienced through human body. For this, this study will search through human body in the complex framework of 'Marxist view of human body' and 'Merleau-Ponty's phenomenology'. Lastly, this study will investigate typological structures of architecture created from the use of human body as their media.
