        임상치과위생사의 전문직 자아개념, 자아존중감 및 직무만족도와의 관련성

        Objectives: The objective of this study is to investigate the relationship among professional self-concept, self-esteem and job satisfaction in the clinical dental hygienists and provide the basic data for the effective management of clinical dental hygienists. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was filled out by 250 clinical dental hygienists in Seoul, Gyeonggi, Chungcheong, Jeolla, and Gyeongsang Provinces from February 1 to March 30, 2017. Data were analyzed using IMB SPSS/WIN 22.0 program. Professional self-concept, selfesteem and job satisfaction according to the general characteristics and job characteristics were analzyed by independent t-test, one way ANOVA and Tukey. The relationship among professional self-concept, selfesteem and job satisfaction was found by Pearson’s correlation. Multiple regression analysis was used to find out the relationship among professional self-concept, self-esteem and job satisfaction in the clinical dental hygienist. The significance level was a=0.05. Results: Clinical dental hygienist’s professional self-concept was 3.76 points, self-esteem was 3.08 points and job satisfaction was 3.35 points. In general characteristics, professional self-concept showed the significant differences by age (p=0.043), marital status (p=0.005), level of education (p=0.001), duration of clinical career (p=0.003) and economic level (p=0.001). Job satisfaction showed the significant differences by age (p=0.019) and level of education (p=0.024). In job related characteristic, professional self-concept showed the significant differences by working area (p=0.001), working intensity (p=0.011) and position (p=0.001), while job satisfaction showed the significant differences by working area (p=0.014) and working intensity (p=0.001). Influencing factors in the job satisfaction in the clinical dental hygienists were age, working intensity, self-esteem, and professional self-concept. The explanatory of the model was 29.0%. Conclusions: Professional self-concept, self-esteem and job satisfaction in the clinical dental hygienists are related. To improve job satisfaction of the clinical dental hygienists, program development and institutional support to improve self-esteem and professional self-concept are needed.

        학제에 따른 치위생과 학생의 임상실습 만족도와 관련 요인

        Objectives: This research aimed to identify the influential factors that affect the satisfaction of dental hygiene students' clinical training between college and university and contribute to improvement in clinical practice quality. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 210 dental clinical hygienists from June 10 to August 30, 2018. Data were analyzed using SPSS 22.0. An independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe’s post-hoc test, and Pearson’s correlation coefficient were employed, and a stepwise multiple regression analysis was performed. Results: Regarding the influential factors of satisfaction with clinical practice among dental hygiene students, in the case of college students, dental hygienist practice instructor dummy, self-efficacy, satisfaction of school life, interpersonal relation was the increasing order. In the case of university students, dental hygienist practice instructors, subjective health, satisfaction with school life, and interpersonal relations was the increasing order. Conclusions: The most influential factor of dental hygiene students’ clinical practice satisfaction between college and university was the ability to form interpersonal relationships. Therefore, to increase the satisfaction of dental hygiene students with clinical practice between college and university, external sources and efforts to emphasize internal sources are required.

        치위생과 학생의 회복탄력성에 영향을 미치는 요인

        Objectives: This study aims to examine the factors affecting resilience in dental hygiene students. Methods: The participants were 200 dental hygiene students. Data were collected from June 1 to August 30, 2021 and analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, Pearson’s correlation coefficient, and multiple regression by using PASW Statistics 26.0. Results: Subjects’ mean scores of resilience, self-esteem, social support, and emotional intelligence were 2.99, 3.61, 3.78, and 3.25, respectively. There were significant differences in the level of resilience among credit, stress relief methods, subject health status, satisfaction of major, and aptitude for dental hygiene (P<0.05). The resilience showed a significant relationship with selfesteem (r=0.673), social support (r=0.673), and emotional intelligence (r=.804). The results of the multiple regression analysis showed that self-esteem was the highest impact predictor for resilience which explained 57.4% of the total variance (F=68.021, P<0.001). Conclusions: The current findings indicate that self-esteem and social support are related with resilience in dental hygiene students. Therefore, intervention strategies should be developed for improving the resilience of dental hygiene students.

        학업을 병행하는 임상치과위생사의 직무만족도 영향 요인

        Objectives: This study was conducted to understand the influencing factors of job satisfaction of clinical dental hygienists in schoolwork, and use the basic data to enhance their job satisfaction. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was filled out by 210 dental clinic hygienists from June 10 to August 30 of 2018. Data were analyzed using SPSS 22.0. Independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe’s post-hoc test, and Pearson correlation coefficient were reviewed, and a multiple regression analysis was conducted. Results: The scores of subjects' professional selfconcept, self-esteem, job stress, and job satisfaction were 3.37, 3.80, 2.79, and 3.37, respectively. The influencing factors of job satisfaction of clinical dental hygienists in schoolwork included marital status, support in workplace, professional self-concept, and job stress, with 41.6% of the explanatory power. Conclusions: The stronger the professional self-concept, the lower the jobstress and higher the job satisfaction. The job satisfaction was also higher in the group in which the subjects were married and getting support in the workplace compared to the other group with no support in the workplace. Therefore, support systems and institutional support are required for clinical dental hygienists to be continuously educated in the workplace.

        어린이 음료가 레진계 치면열구전색제의 화학적 분해에 미치는영향

        The consumption of beverages among children is rising. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of kid’s drink on dental resin-based pit and fissure sealant. Pororo, I-kicker, Sunkist kids were included in the experimental groups, and Samdasu was included in the control group. A conventional dental sealant material (ClinproTMSealantⓇ) was selected for this study. Resin specimens (8 mm in diameter and 1 mm in thickness) were prepared according to manufacturers’ instructions and the initial roughness (Ra) was then measured. The pH of all the four groups was measured using a pH meter. The specimens were individually immersed in 5 ml of the experimental solutions and stored at 37oC for 72 hours. Following this, the surface roughness of the resin specimens was measured by Surftest. The concentration of residual monomer released was determined by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The surface morphology of the resin specimen was evaluated before and after storage by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Data were statistically analyzed using Kruskal-Wallis and Duncan’s test. The results showed that all the children’s beverages examined in this study contained citric acid. The pH of I-kicker was the lowest (3.03±0.01), followed by that of Sunkist kids (3.26±0.02) and Pororo (3.47±0.02). We observed an increase in the surface roughness of resin specimens after 72 h of immersion in all the beverages tested (p<0.05). There was matrix degradation after immersion, visualized on SEM image, in all the beverage groups. Bisphenol-A-glycidyl methacrylate was not detected after 72 hours, but triethylene glycol dimethacrylate levels were increased in all the beverages tested during the 72 hours by HPLC. These results suggest that intake of beverages containing acid can cause degradation of the resin-based pit and fissure sealants in children. 시판 중인 어린이 음료가 레진계 치면열구전색제에 미치는 물리 화학적 영향을 알아보기 위해 판매량이 높은 3종의어린이 음료와 대조군으로 생수를 선정하였다. 제조사의 지시에 따라 레진 시편을 제작하여 시편의 초기 거칠기 값(Ra) 를 측정하였고, 각 음료의 pH를 측정한 후, 레진 시편을 각각의 음료에 침지시켜 37oC 배양기에서 72시간 보관하였다. 72시간 후 레진 시편의 표면 거칠기를 측정하였고 시편표면의 형태변화 관찰을 위해 주사전자현미경으로 관찰하였다. 레진 시편에서 용출된 단량체의 종류 및 용출량은HPLC를 이용하여 비교 분석하였다. 생수를 제외한 모든 실험음료에 구연산이 첨가되어 있었고 어린이 음료의 평균pH는 3.25±0.17로 ‘아이키커’에서 3.03±0.01로 가장 낮았고 ‘뽀로로’에서 3.47±0.02로 가장 높았다. 어린이 음료에침지 후 시간 경과에 따른 표면 거칠기가 증가하였고 레진시편의 표면에 기질의 탈락을 관찰하였다. 모든 실험음료에서 bis-GMA는 유출되지 않았으나 생수를 제외한 어린이음료에서는 TEGDMA가 유출되었다. 이상의 결과 어린이음료는 치면열구전색제의 열화와 단량체의 유리를 촉진할 수 있으며 유리된 단량체는 성장 중인 어린이에게 더 큰 영향을 미칠 수 있으므로 어린이 음료를 빈번히 음용하는 것은 주의가 필요하다.

        일부 노인의 구강보건교육경험과 구강보건지식수준, 구강보건교육요구도 및 노인구강건강평가지수(GOHAI)의 관련성

        본 연구는 노인들의 구강보건지식수준과 구강보건교육요구도 및 구강건강평가지수(GOHAI)의 연관성을 파악하여 구강 보건교육의 중요성을 강조하기 위해 실시하였다. 자료조사는 2020년 1월 6일부터 2020년 2월 7일까지 충북지역의 65세 이상 노인 191명을 대상으로 하였으며, 자료의 분석을 위해 χ2-test, 독립표본 t검정, Pearson 상관분석, 로지스틱 회귀분석을 시행 하였다. 조사결과 GOHAI로 측정한 구강건강관련 삶의 질은 구강보건교육경험이 있고, 구강보건지식수준과 구강보건교육요구 도가 높으며, 정기적인 구강검진을 받을수록 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 토대로 노인들의 구강건강관련 삶의 질 향상을 위해서는 구강보건교육의 기회를 다양하게 개발하고 지속적으로 확대하여 구강보건교육의 참여율을 높이는 정책 마련이 요구된다. This study was conducted to emphasize the importance of oral health education by identifying the relationship between the oral health knowledge level, the oral health education request level, and Geriatric Oral Health Assessment Index(GOHAI) of the elderly. The survey was conducted on 191 elderly people aged 65 and over living in Chungbuk from January 6, 2020 to February 7, 2020, and for data analysis, χ2-test, t-test, Pearson correlation analysis, logistic regression analysis were performed. As a result, it was found that the quality of life as measured by GOHAI increased when they had oral health education experience, had a high level of oral health knowledge and oral health education request level, and had regular oral examinations. Based on the above results, in order to improve the quality of life related to oral health of the elderly, it is necessary to prepare policies to increase the participation rate by developing and continuously expanding opportunities for oral health education in various ways.

        치위생(학)과 신입생의 긍정적 사고, 학업적 자기효능감이 학교생활 적응에 미치는 영향요인

        본 연구는 치위생(학)과 신입생의 긍정적 사고와 학업적 자기효능감, 학교생활 적응 정도를 파악하고, 그 관련성을 규명하며 치위생(학)과 신입생의 학교생활 적응에 영향을 주는 요인을 확인하여 치위생(학)과 신입생들이 학교생활 적응도를 높이는데 도움을 주고자 시도되었다. 자료수집은 2019년 10월 1일부터 10월 21일까지 경기도·충청도·전라도·경상도 지역의 치위생(학)과 신입생 213명을 대상으로 임의추출 하여 자기기입식 설문조사를 시행하였다. 연구결과, 치위생(학)과 신입생의 학교생활 적응에 유의한 영향은 학업적 자기효능감, 긍정적 사고, 진로체험 경험 순이었고, 가장 영향을 주는 요인은 학업적 자기효능감이었으며, 설명력은 47.7%이었다. 본 연구는 일부 치위생(학)과 신입생을 대상으로 조사되어 연구를 진행하였기에 결과를 일반화하기는 한계가 있어 후속연구에서는 긍정적 사고와 학업적 자기효능감이 학교생활 적응에 미치는 다양한 변인에 대한 지속적인 연구가 필요할 것이다. 그러나 본 연구를 토대로 학교생활 적응과 관련된 선행연구를 보완할 수 있는 자료로 활용 가능하다는 것에 의의가 있으며, 치위생(학)과 신입생의 학교생활 적응과 관련된 요인을 제시함으로써 학교생활 적응 프로 그램 개발의 필요성을 확인한 기초자료가 되었다고 생각된다. In this study, the positive thinking, academic self-efficacy, and school adjustment of freshman dental hygiene students were identified. The correlation between each variable was identified and the influencing factors were investigated. Data collection was conducted from October 1 to October 21, 2019 on 213 freshman dental hygiene students in Gyeonggi-do, Chungcheong-do, Jeolla-do, and Gyeongsang-do regions. According to the study, the significant influence of freshman dental hygiene students' school adjustment was in the order of academic self-efficacy, positive thinking, and career program experience, and the most influential factors were academic self-efficacy, and the regression model explained was 47.7%. Since this study has been investigated and conducted on some freshman dental hygiene students, there is a limit to generalizing the results, subsequent studies will require continuous study of various variables for positive thinking and academic self-efficiency to school adjustment. However, based on this study, it is meaningful that it can be used as data to supplement the prior study related to school adjustment, and by presenting factors related to the school adjustment of freshman dental hygiene students, it is thought that it became basic data that confirmed the necessity of developing the school adjustment program

        일부 치위생과 학생들의 공감능력과 자아탄력성이 대인관계능력에 미치는 영향

        Objectives: The aim of the study was to examine the influence of empathic ability and ego resilience on the ability of dental hygiene students to maintain good interpersonal relationships. Methods: Data were collected between March 1 and March 31, 2021, through a self-report questionnaire. The subjects for the study were 189 dental hygiene students who were selected using convenience sampling. Results: Ability in interpersonal relationships was found to have a statistically positive correlation with empathic ability (r = 0.338, p < .01 ) and ego resilience (r = 0.649, p < .01). Stepwise multiple regression revealed that ego resilience (β = 0.521, p = 0.001) was a significant predictor and accounted for 45.8% of ability in interpersonal relationships. Conclusions: The ability to conduct good interpersonal relationships needs to be increased in dental hygiene students by conducting an efficient program to teach ego resilience.

        학교구강보건실 운영 평가에 관한 연구

        School dental clinic programs is the most active and effective programs to prevent the oral disease for school-children and it is one of the recommended programs by the advanced and welfare countries. In Korea, 15 primary schools have been established the school dental clinics in 1999 as one of the public oral health programs supported by the Ministry of Health and Welfares, and expanded more every year. 11 school dental clinics among 15 were participated for 2-years evaluation project. Such items as the structure, the process, the supply of dental services, the promotion of the health level and the community supports were evaluated through the standardization by governmental suggestions. Average score for 2-years evaluation was estimated as 81.35% as considerably good remark. In detail, score 4.74 for the structure, 22.10 for the process, 19.77 for supply of dental services, 26.22 for promotion of the oral health level and 8.53 for the community supports were calculated. In conclusion, school dental clinic programs in Korea were evaluated considerably good and they should be extended to all primary schools as possible.
