        스페인어권 화자를 위한 한국문화교육의 현황과 과제 -칠레가톨릭대학교의 한국문화수업 발표 사례를 중심으로-

        The purpose of this article is to describe the current situation of Korean culture education in the Spanish-speaking world and to suggest some ideas for its future development. This article does not examine the cultural differences between Korean speakers and Spanish speakers from the anthropological point of view, but the importance of the cultural differences must be recognized and stressed. The aim of Korean culture education is to show how the Korean cultures settles down in a general framework through the reflection of likenesses and differences between Korean culture and the other culture. In this sence, cultural relativism is very important in this globalized world. In this article, the author explains that the foreign students have an interest in knowing not only the positive things about Korean culture but also the negative facets. The teacher should never communicate a sense of cultural superiority over the others. He/She should interprete the Korean culture from a non-occidental point of view and let the students compare two cultures from their own point of view. In this globalized world, the students receive all kinds of information through innumerable and various ways. The successful Korean culture class has to be open-minded to hear the students` interpretations about Korean culture from their own cultural code. (Pontifical Catholic University of Chile)

        스페인어권 화자 대상 한국문화교육에서 TV 광고 활용방안 -한국과 스페인어 사용 국가의 호칭과 인사법 차이-

        The purpose of this article is to observe the usefulness of TV commercials in the Korean culture class for Spanish-speaking people. The author take the case of Pontifical Catholic University of Chile where Korean culture classes have been taking place since 2006. Among the numerous current South Korean TV commercials, the author chose one of DAUM and the other one of SAMSUNG to make the students see the difference of "greetings" between Korea and Spanish-speaking world. The education of culture should be systematic and more specifically for the Spanish-speaking people who feel more geographical and psychological distances than other cultures may feel. The professor should pay attention to the students` interest. Through the author`s experience, TV commercials can motivate the students to have interest in Korean culture by showing them Korea in an audiovisual way. With those two TV commercials used in the article, the author shows how the students compare Korean culture with their own and also how they interprete Korean culture with their cultural code.

        무인잠수정 해미래 활용 동해 저서환경 심해탐사

        국내 심해 저서환경의 접근 한계로 서식생물과 인근환경 연구를 위한 정밀채집이 불가능하였으나, 6,000 미터급 심해 무인잠수정 해미래의 개발로 가능성이 열렸다. 활용가능성 확인을 위해, 2015년 6월에 2주간 동해에서 연구선 온누리호 와 무인잠수정 해미래를 이용하여 울릉분지와 후포퇴 사면의 8개 정점에서 심해 종합해양연구를 국내최초로 수행하였다. 수심 범위가 194∼2,080m인 조사해역에서 총 10회 잠수를 수행하였고, 잠수시간은 운용조건에 따라 약 1∼6시간 소요되었 다. 조사 결과, 1) 주요 심해 해저면의 실제 영상, 2) 주요 수산자원인 홍게류의 서식밀도 및 미기록 생물종을 포함한 심해생 물상 자료, 3) 해저협곡의 경사면 등 특이 지형 확인, 4) 압력주상채니기를 이용한 퇴적물 주상시료 채집, 5) 육상폐기물 해양 투기현황을 확인 및 획득하였다. 본 탐사결과 심해 저서환경 및 생물의 직접관찰 및 채집이 가능함을 확인하였다. HEMIRE is a 6,000-meter-class remotely operated vehicle (ROV) that has been developed for observation and sampling of objects of interest on the deep seabed. We first carried out deep-seabed exploration around the slopes of the Hupo Bank and the Ulleung Basin in the East Sea in June 2015. Over two weeks, a total of 10 dives were made from a support ship, the R/V Onnuri, at eight stations with water depth ranging between 194 and 2,080 m. The dive times ranged from 1 to 6 hours, depending on the operating conditions. We obtained the following results: 1) video images of the deep seafloor; 2) red snow crab density data (a major fishery resource) and inventories of deep-sea fauna, including an unrecorded organism; 3) specific topographies such as canyons slopes; 4) an undisturbed sediment core obtained using a push corer; and 5) observations of the seabed surface covered with discarded anthropogenic waste material.

        특별 기고문 : 국가발전정책으로서의 IT839 전략의 의미와 내용

        IT산업은 우리 경제의 성장을 주도하는 선도산업이다. IT산업은 지난 5년간 연평균 39.1%에 달하는 GDP 성장기여율을 시현했을 뿐만 아니라, 2000년 9.5%에 불과하던 GDP 비중이 2005년 15.1%로 빠르게 확대되었다. 우리나라 총수출액에서 IT수출이 차지하는 비중도 27.6%에 달한다. 이제 IT산업을 빼놓고서 한국경제의 미래를 논할 수 없다. 이와 같은 성장 견인차로서 IT산업의 발전 모멘텀을 지속적으로 유지·강화하기 위한 정책이 바로 IT839 전략이다. IT839 전략은 8대 서비스, 3대 인프라, 9대 신성장동력의 선순환 발전을 위한 전략으로서 2004년 2월 입안되었으며, 이제 추진 3년차를 맞이하고 있다. 정보통신부는 지금까지 IT839 추진성과를 바탕으로, 2010년 디지털 컨버전스 및 유비쿼터스 시대를 주도하는 세계적인 IT 신성장 모델국가로 도약하기 위해 u-IT839 전략을 추진해 나갈 계획이다. 이글에서는 참여정부의 대표적 정보통신산업 육성정책인 IT839 전략의 의미와 이제까지의 성과 그리고 IT839의 업그레이드 버전인 u-IT839의 새로운 내용을 살펴보고자 한다.

        카발라와 오독의 글쓰기 - 보르헤스의 작품을 중심으로 -

        El intere′s de Borges en to que el llama `lo hebreo; esta′ reconocido como un aspecto significativo de su creacio′n literaria, y sin embargo, no ha sino nunca objeto de un estudio a fondo. La historia de la fascinacio′n de Borges por lo hebreo es la historia de un latinoamericano a quien su herencia europea y sus relaciones con la cultura occidental le llevaron al juda′ismo, y para quein el judai′smo se convirtio′ en un paradigma por ser latinoamericano. Las alusiones a la Ca′bala y el uso de las ideas kabali′sticas son obviamente judi′as, como to son los poemas dedicados a Israel. Una vez Borges confeso′ su desconocimiento del hebreo y lo que el elige es la escritura como un acto creativo, es decir imitar al cla′sico y reescribir de lo escrito o reinterpretarse. Para la Ca′bala, el universo que otros llaman la Biblioteca, se compone de un nu′mero indefinido. Cuando pensamos en las palabras, pensamos histo′ricamente que las palabras fueron en un principio sonido y que luego llegaron a ser letras. Em cambio, en la Ca′bala, que quiere decir recepcio′n, tradicio′n, se supone que las letras son anteriores, que las letras fueron los instrumentos de Dios, no las palabras significadas por las letras. Es como si se pensara que la escritura, contra toda experiencia, fue anterior a la diccoio′n de las palabras. En tal caso, nada es casual en la escritura. Todo tiene que ser determinado. El curioso modus operandi de los cabalistas esta′ basado en una premisa lo′gica, la idea de que la Escritura es un texto absoluto, y en un texto absoluto, nada puede ser obra del azar. Para Borges, y tambie′n para la Ca′bala una literatura difiere de otra, posterior o anterior, menos por el texto que por la manera de ser lei′da y el libro es una extensio′n de la memoria y de la imaginacio′n. Cada vez leemos un libro, el libro ha cambiado, la connotacio′n de las palabras es otra. Adema′s los hbros esta′n cargados del pasado. Para averiguar la Ca′bala en las obras de Borges tras la mala lectura, me limitare′ casi exclusivamente a ver las obras desde $quot;Una vindicacio′n de la Ca′bala$quot; de 1931, hasta $quot;La Ca′bala$quot; de 1980. La escritura de Borges va al uno, o una conclusio′n por el dualismo y es lo que es igual a la Ca′bala, En Soph. La Ca′bala en las obras de Borges es una clave para los lectores y los lectores deben buscar el significado escondido por si mismos. Borges piensa que el hombre acapara el tiempo lo que le hara′ posible reescribir infintamente. Borges piensa que toda obra intelectual tiene su base en la historia, y eso significa el reescribir tras la mala lectura que contenga el tiempo, es decir el pasado. Y esto es el verdadero propo′sito de los cabalistas y de Borges.

        칠레한국문화교육현황

        The purpose of this article is to provide some ideas to generate cultural education contents for the Spanish-speaking world. The premises are that to make gound in Korean studies, in the Spanish-speaking world, including Chile, there needs to be a culture and language educational unit, putting emphasis more on the culture. The author wants to say that Korean studies can take root through cultural education, to raise appropriate issues that can lead to understanding and sensitivity to intercultural differences. This article analyzes the Korean culture classes at Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Valparaiso since the second semester of 2004 and at Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile since the first semester of 2006. Many Korean texts which were developed in Korea deal with Korean cultural education as a part of a language education course. But that’s not appropriate for the Spanish-speaking learners whose interest is more practical, that is to learn how to facilitate and accomplish their business goals and activities through understanding cultural differences. The aim of Korean cultural education has to be tailored to the learners interests and needs to learn more that what we Koreans want to teach them. Showing the role of tradition in modern Korean society and its meanings in other cultures can be the foremost element to introduce the students’ concerns and to create an appropriate Korean cultural text for futre application in the Spanish-speaking cultures throughout the world.         문학을 활용한 한국문화수업 -공지영의 『꿈』을 중심으로-

        This article refers to the method of teaching Korean culture education through literary works, and in this specific case the author deals with 『The Dreams』 by Korean female writer Gong Ji-young. Generally, in the language classroom, literature works as a tool for language skill development and/or culture education as a part of language education. In that case, the learners read original texts according to their language levels. But when literature is used in the culture classroom for learners who don`t know the language of the original text, the teacher`s role is to develop an efficient method to help them to learn history through literary works and discover and identify cultural differences compared to their own culture. This article shows an example of a Korean culture class using 『The Dreams』 at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. The students find historical similarities, such as the experience of dictatorship, in Korea and Chile, while discovering the Korean cultural aspects which differ from those in Chile, like Soju, eating anchovies as a side dish accompanied with wine, and military service, etc. They also find similarities and differences regarding women in both cultures and even compare them with the work 『Of love and of shadows』 by the Chilean writer Isabel Allende. In many ways, Gong Ji-young`s 『The Dreams』 is one of the good examples to be included as materials in the Korean culture classroom in the Spanish-speaking world including Chile where the learners have few Korean literary works translated into Spanish and rarely encounter a translated version of a work that deals with Korea`s modern history. This author has found that copy of 『The Dreams』 can be as good material for the Korean culture classroom. With it she also reconfirms the importance of continuing efforts to develop Korean culture education methods by defining why, what and how to achieve the multiple purposes of the culture class, and considering the diversity and potential of the students` levels of language and cultural awareness.
