This study explores the aesthetic functions of poetry and rap in young adult novels. As we enter the postmodern era, boundaries are being dissolved or blurred in various fields. In literature, there are experimental attempts to break away from the traditional genre grammar and cross genre boundaries. Because genre shifts involve not only a change in form, but also a change in the meaning of the text itself, the fusion of genres drives new aesthetic effects. When poetry (a lyrical genre) and rap (a pop culture genre) appear in a novel (a narrative genre), the aesthetic functions of poetry and rap are as follows. First, they strengthen the narrative's performance through the aural imagination. Second, poetry and rap serve as aesthetic motifs for characters, giving three-dimensional shape to their emotions and psychology. Third, they function as aesthetic devices to control the pace of the narrative and maximize emotion. Youth culture is characterized by the mixing and fusion of various elements. The significance of this study is that it focuses on the interaction between poetry, which is a lyrical genre, and rap, which is a popular culture genre, in young adult novels to reveal their aesthetic functions.

도재용 금합금 재사용에 따른 변연 적합도에 대한 연구

Purpose : This experimental study was to determine the fitness in each cervical margin of reusing porcelain gold alloy. Methods : The gold alloy used in this experimental study was a Au-Pt-Pd alloy (BDCG-898, Bukwang Inc,Korea) for the fabrication of porcelain fused to metal crown. Twenty-five copings were divided into the five groups. And the group A, B, C, D and E were cording successively according to the frequency of reuse to five times. Each specimen was reused without adding new metal. Results : The group A, B, C showed good fitness in each cervical margin. The group D got good fitness in labio and linguo cervical margin, but the mesio and disto cervical margin showed more than 40㎛. Conclusion : The group E showed worse fitness than the other groups in each cervical margin.

Authorship, Authority, and the Polemics of Rachel Speght and the Wife of Bath

Chaucer's Wife of Bath and Rachel Speght are both women who spoke out against misogyny in the querelle des femmes. Although the former was a fictional creation of a male author and the latter a historical woman, they had this in common: they both understood the power of language and that controlling it could be empowering. In her refutation of a contemporary attack on women by Joseph Swetnam, Speght draws up her line of defense on two fronts: illiteracy and irreligion, which she sees as being mutually connected. She exposes in A Mouzell for Melastomus how Swetnam's stylistic inadequacies and lack of command over language are symptomatic of his moral, intellectual, and spiritual inferiority. In contrast, by showing her knowledge of the Bible and classical authors, and of rhetoric and an ability to argue logically, she shows herself to be intellectually and morally superior to Swetnam, whom she reduces to being a brute. Through such strategies, she creates an authorial presence that justifies female authorship in a manner that could serve as a model for succeeding generations of women writers in the early modern period.

과학에서 환상으로 : 마가레트 케빈디쉬의 찬란한 세계에 나타난 유토피아적 환상 Utopian Fantasy in Margaret Cavendish's Blazing World

마가레트 케빈디쉬(Margaret Cavendish)의 『찬란한 세계』(The Blazing World 1666)는 영국 여성작가가 쓴 최초의 유토피아이며 공상과학 소설이다. 이 작품은 당시에 유행하였던 가상의 여행기의 형식을 취하고 있으나 로맨스적, 과학적, 유토피아적 그리고 환상적 요소들이 뒤섞여있고 내용상으로도 상충되는 요소들이 많은 까닭에 황당무개하다는 비평의 대상이 되었다. 그러나 이러한 요소들은 초기 여성작가들이 여성으로서 자신들이 처한 사회적 위치, 역할, 상황 등을 대변할 수 있는 목소리와 이를 담을 수 있는 여성적 글쓰기를 찾는 과정에서 겪었던 어려움을 보여준다. 케빈디쉬는 초기 훼미니스로서 여성도 남성과 같은 지성을 소유하고 있다고 강력하게 주장하면서 이를 과학과 철학의 영역에 과감히 뛰어들면서 입증하려고 했다. 『찬란한 세계』는 여성이 절대적인 지적, 정치적, 군사적 권력을 누리는 여성중심적인 유토피아이다. 특히 이 작품에서는 여성이 과학적 담화를 통하여 학문적 권위를 획득하는 모습을 다루고 있으며 그 과정에서 지식이 남성들의 전유물이 아님을 주장한다. 그러나 케빈디쉬는 작품 중간에서 과학적 담화를 포기하고 갑자기 환상적인 세계로 돌입하면서 지성이 아닌 상상, 사실이 아닌 가상으로 전환시킨다. 이러한 과학적인 담화에서 환상적인 언어로의 전환은 남성적이고 공적인 공간에서 여성적이며 사적인 공간, 외면적인 세계에서 내면적인 세계로의 전환을 의미한다. 일부 비평가들은 이러한 전환은 현실로부터의 도피이며, 케빈디쉬가 도전적인 훼미니스트의 입장에서의 후퇴하면서 결국 남성중심적인 사회에서 여성의 무력함을 들어낸 것으로 보고있다. 그러나 환상은 현실을 떠나서 존재할 수 없을 뿐만 아니라, 사실적이나 경험적이 아닌 또다른 방법으로 현실을 접근하는 수단이다. 환상은 현실세계의 질서, 규범, 법칙, 가치기준 등을 뒤흔들어 놓음으로서 이에 도전하며, 이를 전복시킨다. 케빈디쉬의 환상적인 세계는 남성과 여성, 과학과 상상, 문학쟝르간의 경계를 무너뜨리며 뒤죽박죽이 된 세계를 그린다. 그리고 이러한 '혼란'은 기존사회, 즉 가부장제가 정상(norm)이라고 내세우는 기준들이 절대적이며 자연적인 것이 아니라 인위적이고 사회적으로 구조화된 개념들이라는 것을 암시한다.

학교에서 ‘성적 괴롭힘’의 유형과 예방 및 규제방안

21세기 지식기반사회는 인간의 수행을 효과적으로 달성하기 위하여 필요한 핵심역량을 갖춘 인재를 필요로 하면서 여성의 교육기회 확대와 노동시장 참여가 증가되는 현상이 뚜렷해지고 있다. 이와 관련하여 사회생활에서 발생하는 ‘성적 괴롭힘(sexual harassment)'이 사회적 쟁점으로 부각 되면서 이들 주제에 관한 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 이 연구는 학교에서 양성평등에 관한 권리의식을 고양하여 성차별 없는 평등사회 구축에 요구되는 ‘성적 괴롭힘’에 대한 올바른 이해를 위한 이론적 기초를 종합적으로 고찰하는 것이 목적이다. 문헌연구를 통하여 (1) 성적 괴롭힘의 개념과 학교에서 성적 괴롭힘의 특성, (2) 성적 괴롭힘의 일반 유형 분류와 학교에서 성적 괴롭힘의 유형, 그리고 (3) 학교에서 성적 괴롭힘과 관련된 피해에 대한 예방과 규제방안으로 제도적 차원에서 법적 규제의 명문화, 피해예방과 재발방지를 위한 교육·훈련의 다양화, 개인차원에서 피해자 보호와 지원 등으로 나누어 간략하게 고찰하였다. 결론적으로 학교에서의 성적 괴롭힘의 문제는 여성에 국한된 성적 괴롭힘, 또는 차별 문제가 아니라 , ‘다함께 평등한 사회를 실현’하기 위하여 이 문제의 예방, 구제, 재발방지 등을 위한 질(質) 높은 교육과정의 구축과 단계별 교육방법의 개발과 실행이 종합적인 차원에서 진행되어야 한다. Sexual harassment is one of the current issues in Korean society because of the change of sex role. Korean government has recently enacted many statues preventing sexual harassment. The purposes of the present study were to explore theoretical bases on sexual harassment and to recommend preventing remedies in the school sector. Based upon a literature review, three parts of main contents for studying on sexual harassment were summarized as follows: (1) a definition of sexual harassment, (2) the types of sexual harassment in school sector, and (3) preventing remedies and policy direction on sexual harassment. It is important factors to train students for preventing remedies on sexual harassment with good quality program and have well-publicized and effective grievance procedures to handle complaints of sexual harassment.

From Eve to Rachel: Biblical Women in Lucy Hutchinson’s Order and Disorder

Lucy Hutchinson’s biblical epic Order and Disorder (1679) rewrites Genesis from the beginning to the story of Jacob. In thus recounting the story of the origin of the humankind, Hutchinson also tells the stories of various biblical women who have played their part in this history. But what strikes the reader as puzzling is the conspicuous absence of any obvious “feminist” interest in her recounting of their stories. This paper argues that although Hutchinson’s treatment of biblical women appears to be broadly traditional and conservative, in subtle and oblique ways she undermines the patriarchal bias in the biblical text to voice opinions, attitudes and assumptions that are oppositional. By conflating the birth of Eve with that of the church, by claiming that without Eve creation would be incomplete, Hutchinson gives an entirely new dimension to the roles played by Eve in the creation story. The poem’s play on the dichotomy of what belongs to spirit and what to mere flesh takes the women’s roles beyond that of mere procreativity usually assigned to them and thus dignifies their position within the story of God’s providential design for Israel. This paper will show how Hutchinson revises the lives of the early matriarchs to give them an untraditional and a more egalitarian position within a patriarchal family structure.

Sarah Scott’s “Master in the Science of Benevolence” : The History of Sir George Ellison

Along with the earlier work Millenium Hall, The History of Sir George Ellison contains Sarah Scott's vision of utopia based on philanthropy. She places at the centre of her utopian world an exemplary hero whom she calls “a master in the science of benevolence.” Scott's master philanthropist, however, is a flawed one. Though all his actions are uniformly informed by sensibility and virtuous feelings of compassion and sympathy, there are gaps between theory and practice, leading to inconsistencies and paradoxes underlying his activities. They reveal conflicts of interests in the issues of class, gender and race. Where slavery is concerned, he is at once radical and conservative; where economic interests are involved both selfless and opportunistic, and where charity is concerned freely giving but also controlling. A strong rhetoric of sensibility deployed throughout the novel overwrites the hard realities of materialistic interests upon which the hero's utopian vision is based. Thus Ellison's utopian community, not only at home but in his plantation in Jamaica, is built upon the fantasies he creates― fantasies of happy slaves, of happy servants, and of happy women. I explore some of these aspects and question the hero's entitlement to being called “a master in the science of benevolence.”

I am using compound method of wax bitetechnique and cone technique. I have knew common point on each teeth during I have waxing up wax pattern. SoI studied on the design waxup technique for mandible molar occlusion. The results of the study were as follows;1. The dam wax up method can restore axial contour of teeth very easy and make short working time of wax pattern2. The height of dam must be same with cusp of adjacent teeth.3. Automatically the contour of tooth is appeared if the contour of dam is relationship with cuspid line ofadjacent teeth.4. The height of contour of buccal, lingual surface is formed natural curve to add fluid wax by gravitation.5. The development groove of mandible first premolar is appeared V form.6. The development groove of mandible second premolar is appeared Y form.7, The development groove of mandible first molar is appeared M form.8, The development groove of mandible second molar is W form.9. The embrasure is formed to carve around contact point area as round convex. It affects to axial form of tooth.10. The buccal, lingual groove of molar is formed parallel with direction of teeth arrangement.

Sir John Mandeville's East : Image or Knowledge?

Talking about the benefits of travelling, Samuel Johnson wrote, 'The use of travelling is to regulate imagination by reality, and instead of thinking how things may be, to see them as they are' (I, 359). Johnson may have been such a traveller, unprejudiced and objective. But in most travels such an attitude is hard to come by. To see things as they are, uncoloured by preconceptions, imagination and self-interest and to accept them as existing in their own right, is what John Elliot in his book The Old World and the New calls comprehension, and he regards this as the most difficult process in one culture's experience of another (18). Despite his gentle tolerance, his curiosity about other cultures and his critical attitude towards Europe, Mandeville too fails to make the mental leap necessary for comprehension. Whatever fascination and attraction the East may hold for men of Europe, the East remains always the Other, and therefore the marginal. It is never the subject but always the object, not the knowing but the known, not the observer but the observed. Though the external world may be enlarged by travels, the mental image remains firmly European and Eurocentred. It is one of the great ironies that Mandeville, though hailed as the greatest Asian traveller, never in a real sense, neither physically nor mentally, can be said to have crossed the threshold of the Middle Ages nor of medieval Christendom.

도구적 성격에 따른 국어과 AI 활용 방안 연구

이연구는도구적성격에따른구체적인국어과AI 활용방안을마련 하는 데 그 목적이 있다. AI 활용 성격에 따라 ‘대화의 상대자로서 AI’, ‘메타적 점검자로서 AI’, ‘창작의 조력자로서 AI’ 나누어 그 구체적인 활 용 방안에 대해 살펴보았다. 첫째, 대화의 상대자로서 AI는 맞춤형 개별 교사로서 학생들의 호기심과 앎의 욕구를 충족시킬 수 있다. 또한 최근 개발된감성형챗봇은또래상담자로서대화상대가될수있다. 둘째, 메타적 점검자로서 AI는 학생의 글에 대한 개별적인 피드백을 통해 작문 능력을 신장시킬 수 있다. 마지막으로, 창작의 조력자로서 AI를 활용할 수 있다. 인터랙티브 기반 서사 창작 프로그램과 ChatGPT를 활용함으로 써 학생의 창작 부담을 낮출 수 있으며 학생들에게 다양한 창작 경험을 제공해 줄 수 있다. The purpose of this study is to come up with a concrete way to utilize AI for Korean language education. According to the nature of AI utilization, we examined the specific applications of AI as a conversation partner, AI as a meta-checker, and AI as a creative assistant. First, as a conversational partner, AI can satisfy students' curiosity and desire for knowledge as a personalized tutor. In addition, recently developed emotional chatbots can be used as peer counselors. Second, as a meta-checker, AI can help students improve their writing skills through personalized feedback on their writing. Finally, AI can be utilized as a creative assistant. By utilizing interactive storytelling programs and ChatGPT, you can reduce the burden of writing and provide students with a variety of creative experiences.
