In the air-conditioner, refrigerant induced noise and vibration can be increased when the airflow rate is reduced in order to decrease the noise at the low mode. Through the test and analysis of this kind of noise, it can be verified that the main reasons of refrigerant induced noise are the velocity and flow Induced force of the refrigerant at the inlet of the evaporator, So, in order to reduce this velocity, quality at the evaporator inlet should be minimized. And, in order to reduce flow induced force of the refrigerant, sudden change of fluid flow must not be occurred. So, in this paper, we will review the characteristics of refrigerant cycle and find how the quality and flow induced force can be minimized.

본 연구는 공기청정기의 성능에 영향을 미치는 인자로서 흡입구, 배기구의 위치 및 형상, 그리고 실내 공간상 배치 등에 대해 수치해석에 의한 모사를 통하여 평가하였다. 해석방법으로는 먼저 유동장을 해석한 후 고정된 유동장 내에서의 먼지 입자의 거동을 검토하였다. 배기구 위치에 의한 성능해석 결과는 배기구를 상면에 위치하게 할 경우 양 측면에 위치한 구조보다 우수한 성능을 나타내었으며, 설치위치에 대한 성능해석 결과는 제한적이나 현관 옆에 설치할 경우 해석된 두 가지 모델 모두 우수한 성능을 나타내었다.

Compressor radiated noise is one of the dominant noise for the outdoor unit of the air conditioner. Therefore, air conditioner makers are trying to reduce it continuously. Even though noise absorption and isolation technology are one of the important parts for reducing the noise from the compressor, it is usually treated to the substitute technology when the noise from the compressor is very difficult to reduce by the compressor noise control only. In this paper, we focus on the property of the sound insulation for the cabinet and measure it applying the theory of the sound transmission loss and insertion loss of the simple enclosure. The insertion loss is evaluated by the experiments according to the thickness and the aperture of the partition in the cabinet.

Computational investigation was conducted to study the effects of the shape parameter of shroud on the performance of the outdoor unit of an air-conditioners. For this study the DOE(4-factor 3-level) was created and the an automatic program was composed using VBA to reduce the load of pre-process for CFD. The estimated mathematical equation was produced from this analysis and it was found that the gap between fan and shroud affects more heavily than the other parameters. As a result, the composition of the best parameters was verified that its flow rate was increased by 10 percents and sound pressure level was reduced by 1.2 dBA compare with the worst.
잔류응력으로 인한 응력비 변화를 고려한 U자형 구조의 피로특성 평가

Mechanical structures with power sources experience repeated force produced by motors. As a result, the life of the pipes reduces and ultimately, the pipes collapse. In most cases, the U-shape pipe is made from a straight pipe by complicated bending work. During this work process, plastic deformation of the pipe produces residual stress in the pipe. This residual stress significantly affects the fracture behavior of the pipe and induces the change of the stress ratio (min. stress/Max. stress = R). For this reason, residual stress has to be evaluated. In this paper, the residual stress of a U-shaped pipe was evaluated by FEM analysis. In addition, fatigue tests of the U-shaped pipe were performed by using a uniaxial fatigue testing machine. The results of the fatigue test were modified with the results of FEM (Finite Element Method) analysis for residual stress. The modified fatigue test results of the U-shaped pipe were compared with those of a straight pipe.
랜덤 진동 조건에서의 압축기 연결 파이프에 대한 가속 수명 팩터 선정 및 진동 피로 해석

According to the delivery condition, the breakage of a product occurs when it is delivered to the customers. Therefore product's makers evaluate the durability under the delivery process by accelerated life testing. In order to conduct this accelerated life testing accurately, it is very important to identify the acceleration-factor exactly between on-road and accelerated life test condition. In this paper, the acceleration-factor is identified by applying linear damage summation law, rain-flow cycle counting and Dirlik theory under the conditions of the random vibration. And approximated FEM model of the connecting-pipe to the compressor is developed for fatigue analysis. This model is finally verified by comparing the experiment results to the numerical analysis results.
