수학적 지식의 역사적 발생 맥락은 풍부한 구조에서 빈약한 구조, 작은 구조에서 큰 구조로 진행된다. 수학적 구조를 적용하는 것이 상구자의 지식의 구성적 활동을 저해하는 한 큰 구조를 적용하여 작은 구조를 구성하려는 시도는 지양되어야 한다. 수학적 지식의 점유 과정에서 수학적 지식의 구성 요소인 언어소통이나 언어는 교육 당사자 간의 상호작용을 통한 지시기능과 개인 스스로의 작용에 의한 상징기능을 수행한다. 수학적 지식은 그 정당화의 언어수준과 상호작용 대상에 따라 점유 양상을 달리 한다. 언어는 교육활동을 조율하고 촉진하거나 지식의 점유 양상 가운데 언어 이면에 있는 사고를 들추어내어 수학적 지식을 재발명하는 것으로, 공적·사적 지식과 교육 당사자를 매개하는 도구이고 수학적 지식의 개인적 변형도구일 뿐만이 아니라 심리적 도구로서 교육적 환경의 요소이다. 상구활동과 하화활동에서 사용된 언어를 교육어라고 할 때, 그 것은 하나의 교과 지식이나 교사가 지니는 학문적 지식이 아닌 교육적 지식으로 간주되어 연구되고 습득되어야 할 것이다. 이 연구는 교육어의 개발과 추출을 위한 연구의 선행연구로서 수학적 지식의 점유를 위한 교육어를 교육활동의 변형적 활동어로 보고 그 기능적 측면에서 새로운 교육어의 개발과 탐색을 위한 교육어의 범주를 상정하였고 교육어의 기능적 원리를 제시하였다. History shows that occurrence context of mathematical knowledge progresses from abundant structure to meager structure and from small structure to big structure. As long as an applying mathematical structure hinders ascending educator`s constructive activity of knowledge, an attempt to compose a small structure by applying big structure must be sublated. In appropriating process of mathematical knowledge, communication or language which is a constitutional factor of mathematical knowledge accomplishes the indicative function which is caused by the interaction of human being who participates in the process of education and the symbolic function which is caused by the interaction of a personal activity. Mathematical knowledge has different appropriating patterns according to the language level of justifying and each other`s activities. Language has the function which coordinates and promotes educational activities. It finds out thinking which is hidden behind the language that makes the reinvention of mathematical knowledge, Therefore it is a instrument which mediates between public·private knowledge and ascending·descending educators. It is not only a personal transformative instrument in appropriating process of mathematical knowledge but also a psychological instrument as element of educational environment. The language which is used in ascending activities and descending activities is called educational language by Sangho Chang. It is not regarded as the teacher`s scholastic knowledge but the educational knowledge, and should be learned and educated. This paper is a preceding research for development and inquiry of new educational language and regards educational language for appropriating mathematical knowledge as a transformative activity language. And so it proposes ``educational language`s category`` and ``the functional principle of new educational language for appropriating mathematical knowledge``.
