This paper proposes a novel control method for reducing power loss on the 3-phase dual active bridge (DAB). The proposed control method is control both duty of switches and phase between primary and secondary stage simultaneously. In conventional control method, the system efficiency can be reduced because of the reactive power in the converter when the converter operating voltage is changed. This problem can be solved by adopting proposed control method by controlling constant voltage of auxiliary capacitor. The proposed control method is verified by experimental results using 10㎾ prototype modular power stack.

Stability and accuracy for the trapezoidal rule of the Newmark time integration method are analyzed when variable time step sizes are adopted. A new analytic approach to stability and accuracy analysis is also proposed for time integration methods with variable time step sizes. The trapezoidal rule with variable time step sizes has the "actual" unconditional stability which is the same as that of the method with constant time step sizes. However, the method with variable time step sizes is first-order accurate while the method with constant time step sizes is second-order accurate. accurate.
