A Distributed Control System (DCS) is used in electrical power grids and electrical generation plants, environmental control systems, water management systems. oil refining plants and chemical plants. The system needs high reliability for monitoring and controlling distributed equipment. The fault-tolerant system has been presented to satisfy system reliability. The Fault-tolerant system is typically based on the concept of redundancy. Generally, the Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) uses the voting mechanism. Thus. it needs voter modules. However, the single point of failure could be caused on the voter. For this reason, the voter must be composed as the redundancy for system reliability. This paper shows a new redundant structure of the voter. Voters are configured as a duplex redundancy. It offers easy repair and high reliability.

To establish the initial ignition and combustion conditions for large-scale gas turbine, a substantial amount of rotational power is essential. This rotational power achieved through the utilization of a synchronous generator that is coaxially connected to the gas turbine. The synchronous generator functions as a synchronous motor and is operated by a high-capacity motor drive system referred to as the gas turbine start-up equipment. This paper presents the constructure, design specifications, and manufactured system of the start-up equipment, which has been applied the localization model for large-scale gas turbine for the first time in Korea. Additionally, we present the results of on-site demonstration tests.
