본 연구는 스타트업 창업자의 창업생태계 인식과 ESG 경영에 대한 관계성을 살펴보고, 이 관계에서 창업기간의 조절효과를 분석하여 스타트업의 성공적인 ESG 경영을 위한 활용방안을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 연구목적을 달성하기 위해 2022년 창업경험이 있는 창업자 290명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고, 수집된 자료는 SPSS 26.0, AMOS 26.0 프로그램을 사용하여 통계분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 첫째, 창업생태계 인식 중 정책의 중요성은 ESG 경영의 환경보호, 사회적 책임, 지배구조에 모두 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 검증되었다. 둘째, 창업생태계 인식 중 창업문화지원의 중요성은 ESG 경영의 환경보호, 사회적 책임에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 검증되었다. 셋째, 창업생태계 인식 중 시장·인재·금융의 중요성은 ESG 경영의 환경보호, 사회적 책임, 지배구조에 모두 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 검증되었다. 넷째, 창업기간의 조절효과는 [정책의 중요성→환경보호], [창업문화지원의 중요성→사회적 책임], [시장·인재·금융의 중요성→사회적 책임], [시장·인재·금융의 중요성→지배구조]의 경로에서 유의하게 나타났다. 본 연구는 창업자의 창업생태계 인식이 창업기업의 ESG경영에 미치는 영향을 검증함으로써 향후 국내 창업생태계의 방향성과 창업기업의 ESG경영전략을 창업성장단계별로 수립하는데 의의를 두고 있다. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between start-up founders' awareness of the start-up ecosystem and ESG management, and to analyze the moderating effect of the start-up period in this relationship, to suggest a plan for successful ESG management of start-ups. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, a survey was conducted on 290 founders who had start-up experience in 2022, and the collected data was analyzed statistically using SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 26.0 programs. The results of this study are as follows: First, the importance of policies among entrepreneurial ecosystem recognition has been verified to have a significant positive (+) effect on environmental protection, social responsibility, and governance of ESG management. Second, the importance of entrepreneurship culture support among the recognition of the entrepreneurial ecosystem has been verified to have a significant positive (+) effect on environmental protection and social responsibility of ESG management. Third, the importance of the market, human resources, and finance among entrepreneurial ecosystem recognition has been verified to have a significant positive (+) effect on environmental protection, social responsibility, and governance of ESG management. Fourth, the moderating effect of the start-up period was found to be significant in the paths of [importance of policy → environmental protection], [importance of support for start-up culture → social responsibility], [importance of market, human resources, and finance → social responsibility], and [importance of market, human resources, and finance → governance]. This study is meaningful in establishing the future direction of the domestic startup ecosystem and the ESG management strategy of startup companies for each stage of startup growth by verifying the impact of the founder's awareness of the startup ecosystem on the ESG management of startup companies.
