KS K 0051(2009) was established in 1990 and revised in 1994, 1999, 2004 and 2009. Recently the structure of apparel production and distribution are changing like as small quantity batch production, increase of importing abroad apparel and increase of on-line shopping mall. Based on Social and economic conditions, examine the potential for use of KS K 0051(2009) standard sizing system for female adult``s garments are needed. Through which, it was intended to suggestion for the revision of standard sizing system for female adult’s garments which can facilitate communication among consumer, producer and sellers. The improvement point was discussed through review of the current KS K 0051 (2009) and abroad standard sizing system for female adult’s garments, ISO 3637(1977), ISO 4416(1981), BS EN 13402-2(2002), BS EN 13402-3(2004), JIS L 4005(2001) and GB/T 1335.2(2008). Also, the revision of standard sizing system for female adult’s garments was suggested using data of 6th Size Korea. As a result of this study, in the revision, formal wear, casual wear, training wear and under wear were separated to simplify the classification and the classification of body type were excluded. Also, it is possible that size designation was simplified through optional notation and letter code based on bust girth could be marked together in casual wear.
주문생산을 위한 자동제도 토르소 원형연구 -20대 여성을 중심으로-

An efficient torso pattern has been developed to cope with the future trend of order-based, individualized production like the E.C.(Electronic Commerce) in the apparel industry, and to make a database foundation of automatic garment pattern drafting. For this purpose, a non-contact three-dimensional anthropometric measurement system was used to provide a lot of accurate body data for better individual fit, and an automatic pattern drafting system that can easily generate various size patterns and construct a pattern database has been developed too. The subjects of this research were 18 to 24 year-old women whose data had been gathered through the Korean national investigation of anthropometry for industrial standards in 1997 and various body shapes were analyzed by the measurements. And a special software system has been developed to verify the validity of newly proposed drawing rules. The results of sensory evaluation for appearance and moving fitness of the new torso pattern showed a significant improvement in individual fit even for the figures with large deviation from standard shape compared with the results of the traditional one.
20대 여성의 목밑둘레 부위에 대한 3차원 자동 측정 알고리즘

The purpose of this study is to suggest computer assisted neck-base's landmark identification algorithms and measurement extraction methods from three-dimensional human scan data. So we developed the algorithms for automatic identification of landmarks related to the neck-base types. The subjects were 58 women $18{\sim}24$ years of age. Their body were measured directly and indirectly by using camera and three-dimensional body scanner. They were measured during the months of October in 2001. Based on the characters of classified neck-base types, algorithms for the automatic identification of landmarks and methods of automatic measurement are developed. The three-dimensional automatic measuring program is made by $C^{++}$ language. Using this program, 4 landmarks are identified and 6 items are measured. In the verifying the precision of automatic measurement, the height measurements(cervicale, side neck point, front neck point) were relatively accurate, but neck-base width measurement was measured wide.
3차원적 접근 방식을 통한 머리 부위 사진 측정법의 개발

We developed an accurate and reliable photogrammetric method available instead of the direct measurement method and the three-dimensional scanning method. Our research was restricted to a head on the body. Approaching three-dimensionally, we calibrated a distorted image of a photograph and got linear equations of camera beams. Then we assigned z values of landmarks in the head and obtained three-dimensional coordinates for each landmark putting those z values in linear equations of camera beams and finally could calculate measurement results from those three-dimensional coordinates. When we compared results obtained by a program, 'Venus Face Measurement(VFM)' that we had developed applying our method with results obtained by the direct measurement method, VFM showed very accurate and reliable results. In conclusion the photogrammetric method developed in this study was testified to an outstanding measurement method as a substitute for the direct measurement method and the three-dimensional scanning method.
