The development of internet and mutual communication brings us fusion of media and changes customer buying pattern and even life style. Internet also gives us convenience and profit which offers matched information instantly. Now internet is used as business marketplace without regard of time and space as internet is advancing for commercial purpose as well as information provider caused by rapid improvement and development of telecommunication. Consumers can visit and purchase easily in the internet shopping mall opened in the cyber space. Internet shopping mall has various merits in every respect. consumers can search their interested products easily and purchase conveniently through internet without spending time in shopping at departments or markets in real space. and internet shopping mall saves money for operating cost of sales room, rent of sales room, payment for employees, managing cost of stored goods. also consumers can shop 24 hours a day and goods will be delivered safely to the place where consumers wanted. So package design for this shopping mall should consider every respects of consumption, purchase and information as well as emotions of human.

문화의 경쟁력이 곧 국가 경쟁력이라고 불릴 만큼 문화는 국가의 파워 산업이 되었다. 이러한 문화적 파워의 대표적인 캐릭터 산업은 자국의 문화와 사상을 자연스럽게 타 문화나 철학·사상 등에 영향을 주기 때문에 문화 정체성에 매우 중요한 역할을 수행하고 있다. 이에 우리 문화의 가치와 아이덴티티를 재인식하며, 우리 문화의 우수성과 잠재력을 국지적 가치에 머물지 않고 범세계적 시각에 기초한 한국적 문화 상징이미지로서의 캐릭터 모티브 및 콘텐츠 개발을 통하여 문화 캐릭터디자인의 가능성과 문화적 영향력을 넓히고자 하는데 그 의의가 있다고 하겠다. These days, culture becomes a country`s industry as powerful as cultual competitiveness is called national one. The character industry which represents cultural power naturally conveys the culture and thought of its own country to the culture, philosophy, and thought of other countries and plays an important role in culture identity. By means of the character industry, we can recognize the value and identity of our culture and don`t have to limit the excellency and potential capacities of our culture within the regional value. And moreover, on the base of global vision, character motif and contents development as korean, cultural, symbolic image have a good influence on potentialities of culture character and cultural effects.
