자동차 산업에서 생산과 물류의 동기화를 통한 현대글로비스의 성공 사례: 현대기아차그룹의 체코와 슬로바키아 자동차 공장을 중심으로

현대기아차그룹의 계열회사인 현대글로비스는 자동차 전문 물류회사로서 현대-기아차의 국내 및 해외 사업의 전 범위의 물류업무를 대행하고 있다. 현대글로비스의 우수한 물류 운영 능력은 현대자동차 그룹이 짧은 기간에 글로벌 자동차회사로 급성장할 수 있는 원동력이 되었다. 이 논문에서는 자동차 산업의 이해를 통해 자동차 전문 물류업체의 중요성에 대해 살펴보았다. 또한, 체코와 슬로바키아 공장을 중심으로 자동차 물류 분야에서 현대글로비스의 핵심 성공 요인을 도출하였다. 첫째 KD 수출 및 현지 조달을 통한 해외 공장의 성공적 부품 조달이고, 둘째 서열공급(Just-in-sequence)으로 대표되는 생산과 물류의 동기화 구축이다. 이를 통해 재고의 감축은 물론, 생산라인의 안정적인 운영 또한 확보되었다. 마지막으로 통합부품물류센터 중심의 조달물류 체계 구축을 통해 부품의 조달, 재고 관리, 생산라인의 투입까지 전 과정을 통합 운영하였다. Hyundai Glovis, a subsidiary of Hyundai-Kia Motors Group, acts as a logistics service provider for Hyundai-Kia Motors' entire domestic and overseas logistics business. Hyundai Glovis's excellent logistics management capability has enabled Hyundai Motors Group to grow rapidly as a global automobile company in a short period of time. In this paper, we have discussed the importance of logistics companies specialized in automobiles through understanding of automobile industry. In addition, we focused on the key success factors of Hyundai Glovis in the logistics of automobiles centered on factories in Czech and Slovakia. The first is the successful procurement of parts for overseas plants through KD export and local procurement, and the second is the synchronization of production and logistics represented by just-in-sequence. As a result, not only inventory reduction but also stable operation of the production line was secured. Finally, we integrated the whole process from procurement, inventory management, and input into production line of parts through establishment of procurement logistics system centered on consolidation center.

전투기 수리부속 수요예측 프로세스 개선을 위한 실증적 연구

본 연구는 00 전투비행단 등 대한민국 공군 F-16 전투기 운영기지에서 사용되는 수리부속 품목의 재고관리 실태에 대해 검토하고 해당 품목의 수요예측 프로세스를 실증 분석하였다. 이를 통해 수요예측 정확도 향상을 통해 국방 운영의 효과성과 비용절감을 목표로 실제 군수 데이터를 이용하여 수요예측 프로세스 개선방안을 도출하고자 하였다. 이러한 목표를 달성하기 위해 먼저 기존 군수운영 성과분석을 대체하며 품목관리관 개인의 성과를 측정하기 위한 지표로서 특별정수 설정품목의 수요예측 정확도를 제시하였다. 또한 이렇게 제시된 지표에 근거하여 품목관리관의 개별 수요예측 정확도를 산출하였다. 추가적으로 품목관리관 인구통계학적 특성들이 수요예측 정확도에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구 가설들을 제시하고, 실제 데이터를 이용하여 가설들에 대한 통계적인 실증분석을 수행하였다. 그 결과 품목관리관 사전 설문을 통해 인구통계학적 특성들 중 품목관리관 전체 군 복무기간과 현 직책 근무기간이 연구의 독립변수들로 선정되었다. 이후 후속 회귀분석 결과 이들 중 현 직책 근무기간이 성과에 통계적으로 유의한 양의 영향을 미치는 점이 확인되었다. 최종적으로 실증분석 결과들에 대해 이론적 및 실무적 관점을 바탕으로 해석함으로써, 전투기 운영기지에서 수요예측 정확도 개선을 위해 실제 활용될 수 있는 방안들에 대한 시사점들을 도출하였다. This study examines the inventory management of repair parts used in the Korean Air Force F-16 fighter bases (e.g. the 00 Combat Wing) and analyzes the demand forecasting process of the items. Then, the study aims to derive an improvement plan on the demand forecasting process by using real military data for the effectiveness of defense operation and cost reduction through the enhanced accuracy of demand forecasting. In order to achieve this goal, we first propose the accuracy of demand forecasting in the item assigned its special level as an index in order to replace the existing logistics performance analysis and measure the performance of the item manager. Then, based on these indicators, we calculate the accuracy of individual demand forecasting of item managers. In addition, the hypotheses of the effects of the item managers’ demographic characteristics on the accuracy of demand forecasting are presented, and statistical empirical analysis is also conducted on the hypotheses using actual data. As a result, the item managers ‘ length of total (military) working experience and the duration of the current job are selected as the independent variables among the demographic characteristics. Then, the results of the subsequent regression analysis show that the duration of the current job has a positive effect on the performance measure, which is statistically significant. Finally, we provide an interpretation for the results of the empirical analysis based on theoretical and practical perspectives, thereby deriving some practical implications by which the accuracy of demand forecasting is improved at the fighter operating bases.

두만강 지역과 대련 지역의 입지특성 분석을 통한 물류성과 비교에 관한 연구

1차 선행 연구에서 항만물류 허브의 경쟁력을 구성하는 요인을 입지특성으로 새롭게 정의하였고, 두만강 지역을 대상으로 입지특성이 물류성과에 미치는 영향을 Multi-Group(복수 집단)인 한국과 중국의 전문가 그룹 간 비교를 통해 분석하였다. 본 논문에서는 기존 선행연구의 Multi-Group(복수 집단) 분석을 Multi-Location(복수 입지) 분석으로 확장하여 항만물류 허브의 입지특성이 물류성과에 미치는 영향을 교차 분석하는 연구의 틀을 제시하였다. 실증적 분석을 위해 동북아 경제협력의 중심인 두만강 지역과 중국 동북지역 항만물류 허브인 대련 지역을 선정하여 중국 물류전문가의 응답에 대해 두 지역 간 비교 분석하였다. 구조방정식 모형의 분석 결과, 입지특성 요인이 물류성과에 미치는 영향이 두 지역 간 유의한 차이를 나타냈다. 마지막으로 두만강 지역의 개발 필요성을 강조하고, 한국 정부와 기업의 두만강 지역의 진출 전략에 대한 실무적인 시사점을 제공하였다. This paper offered the framework that can analyze the influence of location characteristics of hub ports on the logistics performance for multi-group and multi-location cases. Empirically we selected Tumen River and Dalian areas, which Tumen River area is the center of the economic cooperation in north-eastern Asia and Dalian is the hub port of the north-eastern region in China and compared two regions for the responses of the logistics experts in China. Using structural equation model derived in the our previous research, the influence of the logistics characteristics was significantly different between two regions. Finally we emphasized the necessities to develop Tumen River area and suggested the practical implications on how Korean government and companies can approach the region strategically. In our previous study, we newly defined the factors comprising the competitiveness of hub ports as location characteristics and analyzed the influences of location characteristics of Tumen River area on its logistics performance comparing the expert groups of Korea and China.

항만물류허브의 입지특성이 물류성과에 미치는 영향: 두만강 지역을 중심으로

허브항만의 경쟁력에 있어 기술수준 평준화로 인해 시설 및 운영시스템 등의 내적 요인보다 지리적 요인, 배후지 요인, 외부 요인 등의 외적 요인의 중요성이 더욱 부각되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 외적 요인인 입지 특성이 물류성과에 미치는 영향을 밝히기 위하여 입지특성을 구성하는 요인을 추출하였고, 각 요인과 물류성과간 인과관계를 분석하였다. 또한, 한반도와 중국, 러시아의 접경지대로서 21세기 동북아 항만물류허브로 주목받는 두만강 지역을 중심으로 실증연구를 진행하였다. 한국과 중국 물류전문가를 대상으로 각각 설문조사를 실시하였고, 두만강 지역의 입지특성에 대한 연구결과에 대해 두 집단 간에 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 본 연구에서는 두만강 지역의 입지 특성에 대한 정확한 평가를 바탕으로 올바른 개발 및 진출 전략 수립을 위한 시사점을 제공하였다. Considering competitiveness of a hub port, the external factors including geographical, hinterland, and external factors is more significant than the internal factors such as the facilities and operating systems of hub ports because the level of the hardware and software of the different hub ports is getting even. This paper has identified the factors comprising the location characteristics and has analyzed the causal relationships between the factors and the logistics performance. The empirical study was done centered on the Tumen River Area which the borders of Korean peninsula, China and Russia all are adjacent to and which is considered as the hubs of the logistics of Northeast Asia in the 21st century. Data was collected and confirmed through questionnaire survey on Korean and Chinese logistics experts respectively, and The result revealed that there are significant differences, between Chinese and Korean experts, in some factors of the location characteristics of Tumen River Area. Finally, this paper offered the meaningful directions to plan the development strategy of the Tumen River Area based on the sophisticated analysis on the location characteristics of the Tumen River Area.

공급사슬망 설계를 위한 수리모형 수립 및 응용

Great effort has been exerted to redesign the supply chain network as a means to improve corporate competitiveness. In this study, we present a mathematical model and a solution system to help redesign corporate logistics networks. The objective of the model is to minimize total logistics costs. We applied the solution system to real problem cases. We use the model and the concept to develop decision support system that is based on C++ with the use of CPLEX callable library as a solution engine. We tested and verified the DSS for redesigning the network of a large Korean electronics company. Through various scenario analyses, we recommend to redesign their supply chain network that demonstrates the possibility of substantial logistics cost savings.
