Relationship Between EUV Coronal Jets and Bright Points Observed by SDO/AIA

We have investigated the relationship between EUV coronal jets and bright points observed by Solar Dynamic Observatory (SDO)/Atmospheric Imaging Assembly (AIA). For this we consider 39 EUV coronal jets from May 2010 to July 2011 in 171 A identified by Heliophysics Events Knowledgebase (HEK) which provides an automatic identification of coronal jets. We look for coronal jet-bright point pairs as follows. First, we select the size of event area as 360 arcsec * 360 arcsec where the coronal jets are located at the center of the area. Second, we select jet-bright point pairs in case that they are located at the same position or just adjacent. Third, we select jet-bright point pairs that are connected by loops each other. Otherwise, we select jet-bright points pairs as the nearest one. As a result, we present 19 coronal jet-bright point pairs. The mean distance of these pairs is 77.24 arcsec. According to their distance and morphological connection, we classify the following three groups: 1) Adjacent (6 events), 2) Loop connected (5 events), and 3) Not connected in appearance (8 events). The histogram of mutual distance has two peaks; the first peak corresponds to the first group and the other one to the second group. We compare these events with previous observations and theoretical models as well as discuss possible physical connections between jets and bright points.

We have developed solar observational system in the department of Astronomy & Space Sciences of KyungHee University, in order to monitor solar activities and construct solar database for space weather forecasting at maximum of 23rd solar cycle, as well as an solar education and exercise for undergraduate students. Our solar observational system consists of the full disk monitoring system and the regional observation system for H a fine structure. Full disk monitoring system is made of an energy rejection filter, 16cm refractor, video CCD camera and monitor. Monitored data are recorded to VHS video tape and analog output of video CCD can be captured as digital images by the computer with video graphic card. Another system for regional observation of the sun is made of energy rejection filter, 21cm Schmidt-Cassegrain reflector, H a filter with 1.6A pass band width and $375\times242$ CCD camera. We can observe H a fine structure in active regions of solar disk and solar limb, by using this system. We have carried out intense solar observations for a test of our system. It is found that Quality of our H a image is as good as that of solar images provided by Space Environmental Center. In this paper, we introduce the basic characteristics of the KyungHee Solar Observation System and result of our solar observations. We hope that our data should be used for space weather forecasting with domestic data of RRL(Radio Research Laboratory) and SOFT(SOlar Flare Telescope).

Clinical and electrocardiographic studies on Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome were carried out in 8 cases with whom authors experienced during last four years, from October, 1960 to August, 1964, and literatures were reviewed. 1) The incidence of W-P-W syndrome was 8 cases of 2,700 ECG tracings (0.3%). 2) The sex-incidence could not be obtained. All cases were male and young people with the age between 24 and 37 years. 3) Only 5 of 8 cases had subjective symptoms. 4) The associated disease was essential hypertension only in 2 cases and other 6 cases were normal in physical findings. 5) Two cases had episodes of paroxysmal tachycardia and one had persistently recurrent paroxysmal atrial tachycardia. 6) The electrocardiographic findings of W-P-W syndrome in 8 cases were typical and type A and type B were 4 cases for each. 7) Digitalis, pronestyl, quinidine, atropine, potassium salts, exercise, carotid sinus massage, and deep inspiration were not effective in establishing normal QRS complexes.
