        팝아트의 키치적 요소를 응용한 아트메이크업

        Pop art has played a large part in modern makeup. However, it is difficult to find studies on art makeup to which the characteristics of pop art are applied. In addition, the portion of kitsch is also gradually increasing in popular art and culture. Recently, there has been a rising demand for diverse art makeup through basic core research, rather than conventional art makeup, which has merely appropriated old art pieces as they are. Under the assumption that art makeup is closely related to kitsch elements and displays common techniques, this study attempted to make and analyze art makeup designs based on the kitsch elements of pop art and approach them from an artistic and aesthetic perspective. In fact, the kitsch elements of pop art can represent symbolized objects, the appropriation of daily images, reproduction-based kitsch and paradoxical meaning. The symbolized object breaks the nature of readymade articles which are commonly found in our daily lives and grants them new meaning. As a result, they become valuable as art pieces. In terms of the appropriation of daily routine images, painting and cartoon-style techniques were used in art makeup in a way to maximize the conversion of a solid into a plane, like a face. In the reproduction-based kitsch, new beauty was created in the process of being repeated and reproduced several times. In art makeup, kitsch has been expressed by repeating the same patterns. In terms of paradoxical meaning, the general concept of an object would be deconstructed, or texture effects would be used to suggest the opposite meaning. In art makeup, a new technique instead of an original technique was chosen to prevent the original texture from being felt.

        미용전공 여대생의 전공만족도, 진로탐색행동이 고용가능성에 미치는 영향

        This study attempted to investigate the effects of satisfaction based on academic major and career exploration behavior on the employability of college-aged women majoring in cosmetology. The goal is to suggest basic data for a program that can help students make desirable career decisions and give them job-ready training, and the results of the study found the following: Satisfaction with an academic major had a significant influence on career exploration and self-exploration. As satisfaction increased, career exploration behavior, including career exploration, and self-exploration became more prevalent. In other words, as satisfaction with the academic major increases, career exploration behavior rises. Furthermore, academic satisfaction revealed a positive effect on mental health, jobseeking techniques, and job-seeking responsiveness with a statistical significance. Overall, as students became more satisfied with their academic major, factors affecting employability including job information, mental health, job-seeking techniques, and job-seeking responsiveness increased. In terms of the influence of career exploration behavior on employability, self-exploration, and job exploration showed a positive effect on job information, mental health, job-seeking techniques, and job-seeking responsiveness with a statistical significance.

        여대생의 메이크업 행동요인과 자아존중감, 심리적 안녕감의 관련성에 관한 연구

        This study attempted to investigate the effects of makeup behavior factors on self-esteem and psychological wellbeing among University women. In terms of the effects of makeup behavior factors on self-esteem, statistical significance was found in ‘personal self-esteem’, ‘family self-esteem’ and ‘social self-esteem’. In particular, ‘interest’, ‘manners’ and ‘trends’ were found as critical factors, which means that makeup plays a social role in addition to bringing some interest and manners. Regarding the influence of makeup behavior factors on psychological wellbeing, statistical significance was observed in ‘positive interpersonal relations’, ‘autonomy’, ‘self-acceptance’ and ‘the purpose of life’. In ‘positive interpersonal relations’, ‘interest’ and ‘aesthetics’ revealed a statistically significant influence. In ‘autonomy’, ‘manners’ and ‘trends’ showed a positive influence with statistical significance. In ‘self-acceptance’, ‘interest’, ‘conformity’ and ‘manners’ revealed a positive effect. In ‘the purpose of life’, lastly, ‘manners’ showed a positive influence with statistical significance. In terms of the effects of self-esteem on psychological wellbeing, in positive interpersonal relations, ‘personal self-esteem’ and ‘social self-esteem’ were found as important factors. In ‘autonomy’, on the contrary, ‘social self-esteem’ was critical. In ‘environment control’, ‘self-acceptance’ and ‘the purpose of life’, ‘social self-esteem’, ‘personal self-esteem’ and ‘family self-esteem’ had a statistically significant influence.

        청소년의 SNS사용실태 및 뷰티정보신뢰도와 자아존중감

        This study attempted to investigate the effects of the use of social media on the reliability of beauty information and self-esteem among adolescents. In terms of changes in the reliability of beauty information through the use of social information, as the time of social media use, the number of social media acquaintances and beauty information check count increase, the reliability of beauty information was higher. According to an analysis of the relationship between the use of social media and self-esteem, overall self-esteem and social self-esteem by subordinate factors were relatively high when Twitter was primarily used. When the number of friends on social media was 60 or higher, self-esteem, personal self-esteem as a sub factor and social self-esteem increased. In terms of interest in beauty information through social media, as the interest was relatively higher, overall self-esteem, personal self-esteem as a sub factor and social self-esteem were high. In terms of the practicality of beauty information, as it was deemed practical, overall self-esteem, personal self-esteem as a sub factor, family self-esteem and social self-esteem were high. According to a simple regression analysis designed to determine the effects of the reliability of beauty information on self-esteem, as the information was more reliable, personal self-esteem, family self-esteem and social self-esteem increased.

        액티브 시니어 여성의 화장품 사용실태와 화장태도에 관한 연구

        This study attempted to investigate and analyze Active Senior women’s cosmetics use patterns and attitude and provide basic data for effective marketing in senior industry. In terms of the use of cosmetics, ‘foundation’ was the most common, followed by ‘functional cosmetics’ and ‘color cosmetics’. When asked what is most needed, ‘UV-blocking cosmetics’ was the highest, followed by ‘wrinkle-care cosmetics’, ‘nourishing cosmetics’, ‘skincare cosmetics by age’, ‘brightening cosmetics’, ‘dry skincare (moisturizing) cosmetics’, ‘customized cosmetics for age’ and ‘hair color’. In terms of inconvenience factors in buying and using cosmetics, ‘too expensive’ was the highest while ‘I don’t know much about cosmetic brands’ was the lowest. In terms of selection factors, ‘quality’ was the highest, followed by ‘price’ and ‘brand’. In terms of a source of cosmetics-related information, ‘personal experience’ was the highest. When asked who was most influential in selecting cosmetics, ‘friends’ and ‘child’ were most responded. When asked where they usually get cosmetics, ‘cosmetics store’ was the highest. When asked why they get cosmetics there, ‘ease in buying’ was most responded. Therefore, it is reasonable to conclude that silver-generation women tend to get cosmetics at an easy-to-buy store.

        외모 만족, 사회적 지지, 학업적 효능감의 상관관계에 관한 연구

        This study attempted to understand adolescents’ growth process by discovering how their appearance satisfaction, social support, and academic self-efficacy are related to each other, thereby providing basic data which can help in enhancing academic self-efficacy. In terms of the influence of appearance satisfaction on social support, the respondents who were more satisfied with their physical image and subjective appearance, perceived increased teacher support, friend support, and parental support. According to the analysis of the effects of appearance satisfaction on self-efficacy, task difficulty preference increased as subjective appearance satisfaction and physical image satisfaction improved, and the desire for appearance improvement was lower. In addition, as subjective appearance satisfaction and physical image satisfaction increased, self-regulatory efficacy improved. While subject appearance satisfaction increased and the desire for appearance improvement was lower, self-confidence improved. In terms of the influence of social support on academic self-efficacy, task difficulty preference increased as parental support and teacher support were high. As parental support and teacher support increased, self-regulatory efficacy improved. Furthermore, as parental support and friend support increased, self-confidence increased as well. The study results confirm that appearance satisfaction, social support, and academic efficacy are closely related to each other in adolescents.

        미용교사의 비대면 미용 온라인 수업에 대한 인식 및 장애요인, 효과성에 대한 연구

        This study attempted to suggest basic data needed to design ‘untact’ online courses and develop an operating plan for teachers in cosmetology high schools, and the results found the following: The perception of online courses revealed a positive correlation in ‘interest,’ ‘efficiency,’ and ‘communication’ with statistical significance. As perception was higher, online courses' effectiveness (‘interest,’ ‘efficiency,’ and ‘communication’) increased. In terms of barriers to online courses, as ‘instructor’ and ‘contents’ barriers increased, and ‘interest’ decreased. When ‘instructor,’ ‘contents’ and ‘learner management’ were high, the efficiency dropped. Furthermore, as ‘instructor' and ‘environmental’ factors increased, ‘communication’ decreased. This study was performed among cosmetology teachers nationwide. Therefore, further studies should be conducted on the perception of online courses against more people, including cosmetology-related high school students.

        미용관련고등학교 메이크업 교과서의 분석 및 개선방안

        Since no government-published textbooks are available for makeup subjects in beauty high schools, makeup-related curriculum varies by region. In addition, the contents are mostly impractical and out of date. Therefore, many students get a lesson at a private institution. To solve this problem, the makeup textbooks that have been used in high schools have been analyzed. According to the analysis, a student achievement goal has not been properly set in most schools. Furthermore, the makeup subjects which should be included in the makeup curriculum have been omitted. In addition, the textbook contents were improbable and impractical. For example, it appears that too much focus on theory and outdated makeup methods could result in a decline in quality of education. To overcome all these problems, it is necessary to provide government-published textbooks which contain useful and practical theories and contents. It is also required to set a realistic achievement goal for students. For in-depth analysis, this paper has investigated the government-published textbook ``Hair Beauty`` and ``Makeup Practice`` published by Hankook Textbook Corporation, which is used in Seoul and Gyeonggi Area. However, it is necessary to carry out a further study on more textbooks and set the guideline for compilation of government-published textbooks.

        여중생의 외모만족도가 자아존중감, 심리적 안녕감에 미치는 영향

        This study was performed in assumption that appearance satisfaction has an influence on self-esteem and psychological wellbeing in junior high school girls based on the results of a study which concluded that the level of happiness is lowest among junior high school students. The study results found the followings: As junior high school girls’ appearance satisfaction increased, their personal, family and social self-esteem also increased with increase in their positive interpersonal relationship, autonomy, environmental control, self-acceptance and goal of life. According to analysis of self-esteem on psychological wellbeing, when family and social self-esteem increased, their positive interpersonal relationship improved. When personal and social self-esteem improved, their autonomy increased as well. Furthermore, as personal and social self-esteem improved, environmental control and self-acceptance increased. As personal, family and social self-esteem increased, the goal of their lives improved as well.

        아트메이크업에 응용된 팝아트의 특성 연구

        Within the field of modern make-up, pop-art make-up has as yet been only partially researched, with few studies on the topic. This study attempted to analyze pop-art factors applied to art make-up through the personal creation of art make-up using pop-art characteristics under the assumption that pop art-based art make-up is closely related to the shapes and colors of the trends in fine arts. As a result, pop-art factors used in art make-up were analyzed by morphological, color and expression-technique characteristics. Morphological characteristics were expressed through repetition and duplication, reproduction of objects and modification of original forms. The color characteristics were presented through clear visual effects, film color and color contrast while the expression-technique characteristics were expressed through happening, combine painting and object. The relationship between art makeup and trends in the fine arts was confirmed. This study is meaningful in that it helps to broaden the field of art makeup and to enhance its artistic values.
