        직장 카르시노이드 종양에서 Ki-67 발현의 예후적 중요성

        Background/Aims: Rectal carcinoid tumors can be resected with endoscopy, and it is important to assess their prognostic factors. We evaluated the potential of Ki-67 expression as a prognostic factor in rectal carcinoid tumors. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the medical records of 37 patients with rectal carcinoid tumors who got endoscopic resection from January 2001 to January 2011 at Inje University Seoul Paik Hospital. We analyzed their endoscopic and histologic findings, Ki-67 expression, clinical outcome, and prognosis. Results: The mean age (±SD) of the patients was 56.3±10.7 years, and the male : female ratio was 3.6:1. The mean tumor size was 0.5±0.4 cm, 33 patients showed grade 1 tumors (89.2%) and the average Ki-67 expression was 0.7±1.2%. Thirty five patients underwent endoscopic mucosal resection, and two required endoscopic submucosal dissection. Eight patients had positive margins after resection, but no cases of lymphovascular invasion were identified. The median follow-up duration was 21.4±25.4 months, and no recurrences were observed. Conclusions: In low grade rectal carcinoid tumors which are lack of central depression on colonoscopy, the expression of a molecular marker of malignant potential, Ki-67, was low. Therefore, endoscopic resection seemed to be a safe and effective treatment for these tumors.

        부신백질형성장애는 성염색체-연관성 유전대사 질환으로 ABCD1 유전자의 돌연변이에 의해 발생한다. 이중 대뇌 부신백질형성장애는 부신백질형성장애의 한 표현형으로, 급격한 뇌백질의 탈수초화와 부신 기능 부전을 보인다. 9세 남아가 인지 및 신경 기능의 퇴행을 주소로 내원하여 시행한 혈청 내 매우 긴 사슬 지방산이 증가되어 있었고 뇌 MRI에서 특징적인 양쪽 두정-후두엽 백질의 대칭적 고신호강도 소견을 보였으며 ABCD1 유전자에 돌연변이 c. 1252C>T (p.Arg418 Trp)가 발견되어 이를 보고하는 바이다. Adrenoleukodystrophy is an X-linked genetic disease resulting from mutations in the ABCD1 gene. Cerebral adrenoleukodystrophy is one of the phenotypes of adrenoleukodystrophy and shows progressive demyelination of brain white matter and adrenal insufficiency. We report a nine year old male who presented with rapidly progressive cognitive and neurologic deterioration. He had abnormal findings in brain imaging and elevated very long chain fatty acid level in serum. Mutation analysis of ABCD1 revealed a c. 1252C>T (p.Arg418Trp) mutation which was previously known but not reported in Korea.

        Reaction of Organic Halogen Compounds with Potassium Fluoride. (Ⅲ) Fluorination of Aromatic vic-dihalides

        ${\alpha},{\beta$}-dichloro-${\beta$}-phenyl propionate, Ethyl ${\alpha},{\beta$}-dibromo-${\beta$}-phenyl propionate, Etyyl ${\alpha},{\beta$}-dichloro-${\beta$}-(p-chlorophenyl)propionate, 및 dibromo-styrene 等의 化合物을 各種溶媒(dimethly formamide, diethylene glycol, 및 diethylene glyco monomethyl ether 等) 存在下에서 弗化反應을 시켜 보았으며 放射性弗素-18을 追跡子로 使用하여서 위의 化合物들의 弗化카리에 對한 反應度를 檢査하여 보았다. 一般的으로 弗化反應 生成物은 모노弗化物과 脫할로겐된 二重結合物을 生成하였다. diethylglycol 存在下에서 高溫反應시킨 條件下에서는 二重結合生成物이 많았고 diethylene glyco-monoethyl ether 存在下에서 低溫反應시킨 條件下에서는 弗化物이 多量生成하였다. 모노弗化物의 合成方式 및 確認方法에 關하여 說明하였으며 本反應의 合成上의 用途($F^{18}$ 標識化合物包含)에 言及하였다. Flourination of Ethyl, ${\alpha},{\beta$}-dichloro-${\beta$}-phenyl propionate, Ethyl ${\alpha},{\beta$}-dibromo ${\beta$}-phenyl propionate, Ethyl ${\alpha},{\beta$}-dichloro ${\beta$}-(p-chloro-phenyl) propionate, and dibromostyrene by potassium fluoride were investigated in presence of dimethyl formamide, diethylene glycol, and diethylene glycol monomethyl-ether. The reactivity of these organic halogen esters and hydrocarbons towards potassium fluoride was checked further by means of radioactive fluorine-18. tracer. Generally, the reaction gave monofluoride together with dehalogenated olefin. The formation of olefine was increased when the reaction was done at high reaction temperature in presence of diethylene glycol, whereas the lower reaction temperature in presence of diethyleneglycol monomethyl ether favored the formation of mono fluoride in a good yield. The procedures and methods of the identification of monofluorides were described and the feasibility of this reaction of fluorine containing ester including the F-18 labelled compounds was discussed.

        有機할로겐化合物의 放射化 Thin Layer Chromatography

        有機할로겐化合物의 分離方法으로써 試料의 中性子照射에 依한 放射化 Thin Layer Chromatography를 Methanol을 展開溶媒로 하여 硏究한 結果 各種 할라이드, 할로겐酸, 할로겐알데하이드 等에서 銳敏한 展開 peak를 얻었으며 混合物의 展開에서도 定性確認에 充分한 分離 peak를 얻었다. 多 할로겐化合物, 芳香核鹽化物에 있어서는 試料의 中性子線 照射에 依하여 한 個 以上의 放射化할로겐化合物이 生成되어 確認이 困難하였으며 其他 할로겐 化合物에서는 再現性있는 Rf値를 얻을 수 있었다. 그리고 實驗方法을 記述하고 本 方法의 有用性에 關하여 論議하였다. Radio thin layer chromatography of organic halogen compounds by neutron irradiation technique was investigated for the purpose of identifying and separating the mixture of halogen compounds. It was found that various halides, organic acids, and aldehyde gave a distinct developing peak both in cases of individual compound and a mixture of two or three components when the samples were developed by solvent methanol. But poly chlorinated compounds and aromatic or alicyclic chlorides gave more than one component peak when the sample was developed after neutron irradiation. Rf value of each compound was distinct and reproducible. The procedures were described and validity of the present method is discussed.

        芳香族 誘導體의 염素化反應 Ethyl-${\alpha},{\beta}-dichloro-{\beta}$-phenyl propionate의 gamma 線 鹽素化反應

        芳香族誘道體 化合物의 鹽素化反應을 紫外線照射 및 ${\gamma}$-線照射下에서 行하였던 바 ethyl,${\alpha} ,{\beta} -dichloro-{\beta}$-phenyl propionate의 境遇 紫外線下에서는 主로 p-chloro 化合物이 生成되었다. 같은 反應을 ${\gamma}$-線 照射下에서 行한 結果 에스텔과 鹽素의 몰比가 1:2일 때에는 p-chloro 化合物이 主로 生成되었으나 몰比가 1:8인 境遇에는 側鎖鹽素化物이라고 判斷되는 多鹽素化合物이 生成되었다. 反應生成物을 確認하기 爲하여서 ethyl , ${\alpha} ,{\beta} -dichloro-{\beta}$-(p-chlorophenyl) propionate 및 ethyl${\alpha} ,{\beta} -dichloro-{\beta}$ -($o$-chlorophenyl) propionate 를 各各 ${\gamma}$-線 照射下에서 鹽素化시켜 보았더니 p-chloro誘道體에서는 側鎖鹽素化物을, o-chloro誘道體에서는 o,p-dichlorophenyl 化合物에 各各 該當하는 鹽素化物을 生成하였다. 化合物 確認에는 放射化 thin layer chromatography를 利用 하였으며 鹽素含量을 放射化分析法을 分析하였다. 反應結果를 鹽素化反應에 對한 芳香族의 置換基의 效果와 關聯시켜 論議하였으며 實驗方法을 記述하였다. Chlorination of aromatic derivatives under UV light and ${\gamma}$-ray irradiation was studied. Ethyl ${\alpha} ,{\beta} -dichloro-{\beta}$-phenyl propionate gave the p-chlorophenyl derivatives when chlorination was done under UV light. The same type of the product was obtained in the reaction where the mole ratio of the ester and chlorine was 1 to 2 and the chlorination was done under ${\gamma}$-ray irradiation. When the mole ratio of the ester and chlorine was 1 to 8, the chlorination reaction under ${\gamma}$-ray irradiation gave a poly-chlorinated derivatives which was identified as a side chain chlorinated p-chlorophenyl derivatives. Ethyl ${\alpha} ,{\beta} -dichloro-{\beta}$-(p-chlorophenyl) propionate gave the same type of the side chain chlorinated p-chloro derivatives by the chlorination under ${\gamma}$-ray irradiation, whereas ethyl ${\alpha} ,{\beta} -dichloro-{\beta}$-(o-chlorophenyl) derivatives gave o,p-dichlorophenyl derivatives. The identifications of the products were based on a radio thin layer chromatography and activation analysis of chlorine contents of product. The chlorination reaction was discussed in regards to the effect of phenyl substituents to the formation of reaction product and the procedures were described.

        유용미생물이 분화용 시클라멘의 분화품질과 화색에 미치는 영향

        본 연구에서는 유용미생물로 알려진 광합성균(Photosynthetic bacteria), 바실러스균(Bacillus subtilis), 유산균(Lactobacillus plantarum)을 분화용 시클라멘(Cyclamen persicum Mill. "Tianis") 에 2주간격으로 7회 관주 처리하여 생육 및 분화품질에 미치는 영향을 알아보았다. 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 무처리군보다 세 가지 유용미생물 처리군에서 분화품질에 효과가 있었다. 식물체 균형미는 다른 처리군보다 광합성균과 유산균 처리군에서 엽 수, 엽 높이, 식물체 폭, 엽면적 증가에 도움을 줬다. 이는 유용미생물 처리가 식물체에 안정적이면서 풍성한 느낌을 주는 것으로 판단된다. 식물체 관상가치는 다른 처리군보다 광합성균과 바실러스균 처리군에서 꽃 수, 꽃 무게, 식물체 높이 증가에 도움을 줘 관상가치 효과가 있었다. 또한 식물체 화색은 무처리군보다 세가지 유용미생물 처리군에서 진한 화색이 나타났으며, 특히 광합성균 처리군에서 가장 효과적이었다. 결론적으로, 화훼분야에서 유용미생물 처리에 관한 연구가 미흡한 실정으로 채소분야에서 권장사용 농도인 2~3mL·L-1를 포함해 관주 처리한 결과세 가지 유용미생물 처리가 시클라멘 생육 및 품질에 효과가 있었으며, 고농도인 20ml·L-1에서 가장 좋았다. 그러나 처리군에 따라 식물체 부위별 효과가 달라 세 가지 유용미생물을 혼합 처리하면 고품질 시클라멘을 생산할 수 있을 것으로 판단되며, 다른 화훼류에도 접목할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. This experiment was conducted to find out the effect of the plant growth and pot plant quality on Cyclamen persicum Mill. cv. "Tianis" by drenching of three useful microorganism, Photosynthetic bacteria, Bacillus subtilis, and Lactobacillus plantarum. The results were as follows. The leaves height, plant width, leaf area, leaf number, and leaf area per leaf were good at three microorganism treatment. The leaf number and plant width and leaves height and leaf area showed the best effect at P. bacteria and L. plantarum treatment, respectively. At B. subtilis treatment, the balance was promoted, but the effect was lower than the others. The flower number, percentage of fresh flowers weight, and flowers height, and leaf area per leaf which shows the ornamental value were good at three microorganism treatment. Especially, the flower number, fresh flowers weight and flowers height, Ratio of leaf area to leaves weigh showed the best effect at B. subtilis and P. bacteria treatment. The effect of ornamental value was at L. plantarum treatment, but the effect was lower than the others. The vivid flower color was good at all treatment, especially at P. Bacteria treatment. Usually, a recommended concentration was 2~3 mL·L-1 at drenching, but the effect was the best at 20 ml·L-1 in this experiment. Increase in farm operating coat and growth inhibition by high concentration treatment of microorganism, be possible as practical use by change the plant growth stage and treatment concentration.
