A high performance organic phototransistor with dynamic range of 120 ㏈ is demonstrated by employing soluble pentacene as a photo-sensing layer. The organic phototransistor used suspended source/drain (SSD) electrode structure, which provides a dark current level of ~ 10?¹⁴ A at positive gate bias. Under a steady-state illumination, the organic phototransistor exhibited a current modulation of 10? compared to dark to give a dynamic range of 120 ㏈. These results suggest that the organic phototransistor based on TIPS pentacene can be a new promising candidate for low-cost and high-performance photo-sensing element for digital imaging applications.

In this study, a micro/nano-random-pattern-structure surface is machined by EDM and finally a more hydrophobic surface is fabricated by replicating the electric discharge machined surface with silicone elastomer having low energy. Especially the variation of hydrophobic property is examined according to that of surface roughness of the replicated silicone elastomer. The hydrophobic property is evaluated by water contact angle measured in the relevant surface. For the experiments, original surfaces were machined by die sinking electric discharge machining(DS-EDM) and wire cutting electric discharge machining(WC-EDM) The ranges of surface roughness are 0.8~19㎛ for DS-EDM and 0.5~4.7㎛ for WC-EDM. In order to fabricate a hydrophobic surface, the above electric discharge machined surfaces were directly replicated using liquid-state silicone elastomer through thermal curing process. The measured water contact angle on replicated surfaces for DS-EDM is in the range of 115~130° and that for WC-EDM is in the range of 123~150°. It is estimated that the differences between the ranges of water contact angle on replicated surfaces for DS-EDM and WC-EDM is due to the differences between micro/nano scale morphologies of original surface machined by different EDM methods.

A three-dimensional incompressible Navier-Stokes solver is developed for the flow analysis around Micro Air Vehicle(MAV) designed by MACDL(Micro Aerodynamic Control and Design Lab), Seoul National Univ.. Validations of this solver are presented for two cases, first flow over the circular cylinder with infinite length, second flow over infinite wing witH wing section, E387 airfoil. Simultaneously, Wind Tunnel test is performed with Flatform Wire type six-component balance and model designed by MACDL. The numerical results are also examined through comparison with experimental data.
