This study aims at supplying the criterion of the women's basic waist both of educational and studying purposes by collecting 22 patterns of it and drafting them according to the Korean standard size. The results are as follows: 1) All 22 patterns use Back Length as a vertical line without exceptions. 2) 60% of the patterns shows that two representative lengths are used for the pattern. Some patterns use a proportional expression of Bust Circumference for Guide line and Width of Neck. The other patterns use measuring Across Chest, Across Back and Neck Circumference. 3) The studied 22 patterns can be divided into three categories: PL, PM, PN, PO, PP belong to Group 1 which are used in Clothing institutes. The rest of them belong to Group 2, and Group 3 which are used in Clothing department of universities and colleges. The patterns of Group 2 are favored by people who want loose style, somato type and well fifing. Those of Group 3 are suitable for the beginners of drafting and measuring.

The purpose of this study is to seek the change of body surface according to cycling motions and to give suggestions to the pattern and spare space between body and wear in each bodily parts to be heavily considered for making the bicycle wear. The cycling motions were analyzed by taking the sequential pictures of cycling covering motion by a digital camera. The experiments with gypsum were toward a woman in her twenties. We draw the line standard of the body's surface, separated their gypsum-replicated fragments of body's surface following the analyses of the change in their lengths. As the motions were made, we decided the degree of the changed length as spare space when compared the erected posture with the cycling posture, presenting the pattern of the cycling wear with the preparation of wears for testing. After that, the essential experiments were conducted toward three cycle players wore our experimental wears. Regards their evaluated appearance, evaluations over three points were obtained from all parameters except the width of front armhole. Accordingly, our experimental wears were remarkably understood as a relatively proper wear as bicycle wear.

The purpose of this study is to avoid the evaluation method which depends on operator"s sensibility after product development and to define representative human body size, work and driving posture for comfort of pedal, and analyzed convenience for each major factor of pedal. As a result, the evaluation criterion of the virtual verification of the pedal according to the angle of the pedal, the operating range of pedal, the optimized length and width of pedal, and the position of the hinge considering the posture change of the operator and the size of the human body were derived.
