다중경로 UWB-MIMO 채널에서 Lattice-Reduction이 적용된 Zero-Forcing 선형수신기의 성능 분석

In indoor wireless UWB(Ultra-Wide-Band) communications, MIMO(Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) technology can be combined with UWB systems to enable low-power, high-speed communications. Spatially multiplexed UWB signals can be separated by a ZF(Zero-Forcing) linear receiver. Although the ZF receiver has the advantage of low complexity and easy implementation, noise amplification occurs in the process of separating the spatial data stream, resulting in performance degradation. LR(Lattice-Reduction) techniques create a more orthogonal virtual channel matrix than the original channel matrix and thus reduce the noise amplification by LR-aided ZF receivers. The performance of the LR-based ZF receiver proposed in this work is evaluated and compared with other receivers by simulations.
펄스 기반의 공간다중화 초광대역 시스템을 위한 Zero-Forcing 수신기들의 성능 비교 및 분석

This paper deals with ZF(Zero-Forcing)-based MIMO(Multiple Input Multiple Output) detection methods for spatial multiplexing UWB(Ultra-WideBand) MIMO systems on indoor log-normal multipath fading channels. The conventional ZF detector for a single path channel is extended to log-normal multipath channels and consequently an extended ZF(eZF) receiving structure is considered as a simple implementable version and described in details. The diversity gain offered by the eZF receiver is theoretically analyzed and accordingly its theoretical average BER(Bit Error Rate) expression is derived. Moreover, the eZF detection scheme is compared with other ZF-based MIMO detectors through simulations and theoretical results. In the simulation results, the simple eZF receiver shows better performance than the ZF-Rake receiver, and matches the 2Rake-ZF receiver in terms of theoretical average BER performance.
다중경로 로그-정규 페이딩 채널에서 공간다중화 일반화된 공간변조 시스템을 위한 격자 감소 기반의 수신기의 성능

Generalized spatial modulation(GSM) technology is one of the major technology candidates for next generation wireless communication technology using many antennas. The GSM signal transmits data with symbols and index of a selected group of transmit antenna combinations. If the number of selected antennas for high data-throughput is increased, the main drawback is that the receiver should detect a signal with a very complicated receiver. In this paper, a spatial multiplexing(SMX)-GSM system in a multipath log-normal distribution fading channel is designed, and we introduce a low complexity Lattice-Reduction(LR)-based receiver using multipath to detect signals. The performance of the proposed receiver is evaluated and compared with existing GSM receivers through computer simulation. Simulation results show that when a sufficient multipath is available at the receiver side, the bit error rate performance is better than 0.5 dB over the conventional receiver with a very low complexity.
일반화된 정규 라플라시안 기반의 다중사용자 UWB 수신기의 FPGA 구현

본 논문은 다중 사용자 간섭 (Multi-User Interference: MUI)이 존재하는 환경에서 UWB(Ultra-Wide Bandwidt h) 신호를 검출하기 위한 GNL(Generalized Normal Laplacian) 확률 분포 함수 기반의 수신기를 FPGA(Field-Pro grammable Gate Array)로 구현하고자 한다. Xilinx ML402 Virtex4 xc4vsx35 ff668-10 타깃 보드에 Hardware Co -simulation을 수행한 결과와 MATLAB 시뮬레이션 결과를 비교 분석하여 구현 가능성을 검토하였다. 그리고 성능 검증을 위해 타이밍 분석과 동시에 Resource량을 확인하였다. This paper designs Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) for Generalized Normal Laplacian (GNL) Receiver to detect the ultra-wide bandwidth (UWB) signal over multi-user interference (MUI) environments. The FPGA implementation through the Hardware Co-simulation with Xilinx ML402 Virtex4 xc4vsx35 ff668-10 Target Device was examined by analyzing and comparing with the result of MATLAB simulation model. In addition, the performance was verified by confirming the timing analysis and resource estimation.
UWB MIMO 시스템에서 Prerake 결합방식에 기반한 MMSE-OSIC 수신기의 성능

본 연구는 prerake 다이버시티(diveristy) 결합 기술에 기반한 초광대역 다중 입출력 (ultra-wideband multiple input multipl output: UWB MIMO) 수신기를 제시하고, 그 성능을 평가한다. 제시된 송신 다중경로 선 처리 (preprocess)에 기반한 UWB SM (spatial multiplexing) 시스템은 전송 속도를 증가 시키거나 충분한 다이버시티 이득을 제공하여 비트오율 성능을 향상 시킨다. 채널간 간섭 성분을 해결하기 위해 ZF (zero forcing), MMSE (minimum mean square error), OSIC (ordered successive interference cancellation) UWB-MIMO 수신기가 사용되며, 로그 정규 다중 경로 페이딩 채널에서 각 수신기의 성능을 비교 분석한다. In this work, various ultra-wideband multiple input multiple output (UWB-MIMO) receivers based on a prerake diversity combining scheme are presented and their performance is evaluated. The presented UWB SM systems based on transmitter-side multipath preprocessing can either boost the transmission data rate or offer significant diversity gain and improved BER performance. UWB MIMO detecters such as Zero forcing, minimum mean square error and ordered successive interference cancellation are considered in order to cope with inter-channel interference, and the performance of each receivers is comparatively studied over a log-normal multipath fading channel.
Prerake 송신 신호처리에 기반한 UWB MIMO 시스템 성능분석

In this paper, a prerake diversity combining scheme for detection of a single data stream in ultra-wideband (UWB) multiple input multiple output (MIMO) systems is considered. For a UWB MIMO system, the BER performance of a linear transmit prerake diversity scheme is presented in a log-normal multipath fading channel and also compared with that of a linear receive diversity combining approach. From the results, the prerake diversity combining UWB MIMO systems, which can significantly reduce the complexity of the receiver side, are shown to provide the same performance as the rake diversity combining case. It is also observed that when the number of transmit antennas is equal to the number of receive antennas, the performance of prerake systems is improved at large antenna dimension and degraded due to the increase of interference components at low antenna dimension and high SNR regions.
Time-Switched 수신 다이버시티를 이용하는 Prerake UWB MIMO 시스템 성능

In this paper, we evaluate the bit error rate performance of ultra wideband (UWB) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems using prerake at transmitter and time-switched receive diversity (TSRD) scheme at receiver over UWB IEEE 802.15.3a multipath channels. The performance of Prerake diversity combining TSRD UWB MIMO systems is compared with that of rake diversity combining time-switched transmit diversity (TSTD) UWB MIMO systems. From simulation results, it is observed that the prerake TSRD UWB MIMO systems reduce receiver complexity and have equivalent performance to the TSTD rake UWB MIMO systems.
다중경로 채널환경에서 수신 다이버시티를 이용하는 2PAM-TH-UWB 시스템의 오류 성능 분석

본 논문애시는 다중경로가 무수히 많은 환경에서 다중안테나를 이용하여 고속의 데이터 전송률을 달성하기 위한 초광대역(UWB Ultra-Wideband) 시스템의 성능 향상에 대해 연구한다. 다중 수신안테나가 제공하는 공간다이버시티와 RAKE 수신기가 제공하는 시간 다이버시티가 2PAM(Binary Pulse Amplitude Modulation) TH(Time Hopping) UWB 통신 시스템의 성능에 미치는 영향을 분석한다. 시뮬레이션 경과를 통해 다중 수신안테나의 수가 증가함에 따라 TH-UWB 시스템의 BER(Bit Error Rate) 성능이 크게 향상됨을 보인다. 또한 SRAKE(Selective RAKE)에 의해 선택되는 다중경로 성분의 수가 증가할수록 시스템의 성능이 더욱 향상됨을 확인한다.
