        News Objectivity and Political Conversation

        This study examines how journalistic objectivity in relation to interpersonal communication plays a role in democratic development driven by civic engagement. According to public journalists who candidly express their subjective opinions and contentious arguments in news reporting, the journalistic norm of objectivity has been blamed for causing public cynicism because it deteriorates civic participation. Focusing on the 2008 mad cow disease upheaval, an experiment was conducted to determine whether or not objective reporting actually inhibits political participation and whether or not a news article reinforcing a specific position promotes civic engagement in the candlelight protest. College students were recruited and given two types of news articles as experimental stimuli to measure their attitude towards political protest. The result indicates that the impact of news article types on the subjects’ intention to participate depends on their level of conversation with fellow citizens. For subjects who conversed frequently with others on the issue, the objective article enhanced their intention to participate in the protest. The reinforcing article enhanced participation among those who had a low level of conversation with fellow citizens. Therefore, this paper draws implications on the relationship between journalism and participatory democracy.

        ‘즐거운 생활’ 교과의 음악 활동 수업 사례 및 교사 인식 분석

        본 연구는 음악 활동과 관련된 ‘즐거운 생활’과 수업 사례 및 교사의 인식을 분석하는 데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 3명의 교사를 연구 대상으로 선정하여 그들의 수업을 관찰한 후, 면담을 진행하였다. 수업 관찰 결과, ‘주제 학습과 성취기준에 따른 음악 활동의 재구성, 교과 역량에 중점을 둔 음악 활동의 전개, 학생의 흥미와 특성을 반영한 음악 중심의 수업 구성, 타 교과와 연계한 음악 활동의 확장’의 양상을 발견하였다. 또한 면담을 통해 ‘주제 학습 재구성을 위한 교사들의 지식과 경험, 교과 역량 지도 전략, 수업 만들기 차시 운영에 대한 긍정적인 인식 과 부담감, 타 교과와 연계한 주제 학습의 효과 향상 노력, 음악 교과와 연계하려는 노력과 실행 상의 문제점’을 파악하였다. This study aimed to analyze the class cases of Pleasant Life relating to music activities and teachers awareness of ‘Pleasant Life’ classes. Three teachers were selected and interviewed and their classes were observed. After the observation, several characteristics were categorized into: Reconstitution of music activities according to learning theme and achievement standard, development of music activities focusing on the subject competencies, composition of music-oriented lessons that reflect students interests and characteristics, and expansion of music activities linked to other subjects. Furthermore, the interviews with the teachers revealed their knowledge and experience regarding the reorganization of theme learning, their strategies to teach subject competencies, positive awareness and feeling of burden regarding the management of making lessons, their effort to improve the effects of theme learning linked to other subjects, and their effort to link theme learning to music curriculum and problems in practical application.

        경기만 염하수로에서의 비정규 격자 수치모델링을 통한 조간대 조수로의 고려에 따른 Mass Transport 특성

        경기만 한강 하구역에 대한 지속적인 연안개발에 따른 해양 환경변화의 예측 및 평가에 수치모델이 사용되어 왔지만 기존의 연구들은 조간대의 불규칙한 지형 재현의 한계를 가지고 있다. 본 연구에서는 비정규 격자체계의 수치모델을 적용하여 강화남단 조간대에서 조수로 지형에 따른 해상도의 조절이 한강 하구역의 조석과 잔차 수송량 변화특성 산정에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 파악하였다. 이를 위하여 격자 구성 시 조수로의 해상도를 주변 해상도와 동일하게 재현한 실험 A와 조수로의 해상도를 주변의 해상도에 비해 높게 재현한 실험 B를 수행하였다. 각 실험 별 관측치와 모델치의 M₂ 분조의 진폭에 대해 평균제곱근오차와 절대상대오차를 계산해본 결과, 두 평균제곱근오차의 차이와 절대상대오차의 차이가 한강 상류와 석모수로 해역에서 약 40% 이상으로 나타났다. 이를 통해 격자 구성 시 조수로의 지형에 따라 해상도를 조절하는 것이 한강 하구역에 큰 영향을 미친다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 잔차 수송량의 변화특성을 파악하기 위하여 염하수로 입구(초지대교 인근: Line 1)와 염하수로 남단(영종대교 남단: Line 2)에서 관측한 단면유속자료로부터 계산된 잔차 수송량을 모델 별로 비교하였다. 각 실험 별로 산정된 Lagrangian 순 질량 수송량은 각 항마다 정도의 차이는 보이지만 전반적으로 조수로의 지형에 따라 해상도를 조절하지 않은 실험 A가 해상도를 조절한 실험 B보다 약 2배 이상 과다산정 된 경향을 볼 수 있었다. 이 연구를 통하여 조간대의 조수로 지형이 조간대 모의 뿐만 아니라 수치모델의 전반적인 해수 유동장에도 큰 영향을 미치고 넓은 조간대 및 수심경사가 큰 조수로 지형을 가진 지역에서의 잔차 수송량 특성을 이해하기 위해서는 수치모의 시 조간대의 조수로 지형을 충분히 반영할 수 있도록 격자를 구성해야 한다는 것을 알 수 있었다. The tidal creek dependent mass transport characteristic in Gyeong-Gi Bay (west coast of Korea) was studied using field measured data and numerical model. Gyeong-Gi Bay consists of 3 main tidal channels and contains a well-developed vast tidal flat. This region is famous for its large tidal difference and strong current. We aim to study the effect of tidal creek in the tidal flat on the mass exchange between the estuary and the ocean. For numerical application, the application of unstructured grid feature is essential, since the tidal creek has complicated shape and form. For this purpose, the FVCOM is applied to the study area and simulation is performed for 2 different cases. In case A, geographic characteristics of the tidal creek is ignored in the numerical grid and in case B, the tidal creek are constructed using unstructured grid. And these 2 cases are compared with the field measured cross-channel mass transport data. The cross-channel mass transport at the Yeomha waterway mouth and Incheon harbor was measured in June, 9~10 (Spring tide) and 17~18 (Neap tide), 2009. CTD casting and ADCP cross-channel transect was conducted 13 times in one tidal cycle. The observation data analysis results showed that mass transport has characteristic of the ebb dominance Line 1 (Yeomha waterway mouth), on the other hand, a flood dominant characteristic is shown in Line 2 (Incheon harbor front). By comparing the numerical model (case A & B) with observation data, we found that the case B results show much better agreement with measurement data than case A. It is showed that the geographic feature of tidal creek should be considered in grid design of numerical model in order to understand the mass transport characteristics over large tidal flat area.

        상담자의 비대면 화상상담 경험에 대한 합의적 질적 연구: D 대학원 상담센터를 중심으로

        본 연구는 COVID-19 팬데믹 이후 필요성이 한층 증가된 비대면 화상상담을 시행하고 있는 상담사들의 경험을 통해 비대면 상담의 경험과 비대면 화상상담의 특징을 탐색하기 위해 수행되었다. 이를 위해 비대면 화상상담 시스템이 안정적으로 구축된 D 대학원 상담센터에 주목하고, 최근 6개월 이내에 10회기 이상 진행한 사례를 2사례 이상 가진 상담자 13명을 참여자로 선정하였다. 합의적 질적 연구(CQR)방법에 따라 자료를 수집, 분석하여 3개의 영역, 8개 범주가 결과로 도출되었다. <비대면 화상상담에 대한 개인적 경험> 영역에서는 ‘가상공간에 대한 불확실성에 대한 염려와 긴장’, ‘우려를 불식시킨 긍정적 경험’, ‘전문가로서의 성장 기회’, <비대면 화상상담의 평가> 영역에서는 ‘시공간 제약의 초월’, ‘물리적 거리감이 주는 한계’, ‘대면 상담과의 차이’, <비대면 화상상담 운영을 위한 제언> 영역에서는 ‘필요조건’, ‘지원체계 확보’로 구조화하였다. 본 연구는 새로운 상담 방식인 화상상담의 긍정성과 한계를 확인하고, 상담사로서의 성장 과정을 탐색하였다는 것에 의의가 있다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 제한점과 추후 연구를 위한 논의를 제시하였다. This study explored counselors’ experiences in teletherapy, which has increased since the COVID-19 pandemic. This study was conducted with counselors at the D Graduate School Counseling Center, which had a stable teletherapy system. Among the counselors, 13 therapists who had conducted at least 2 cases of 10 or more sessions within the past 6 months were selected. The consensual qualitative research (CQR) method was utilized, and 3 domains and 8 categories were derived as a result. The domains are as follows; <Personal experience with teletherapy>, <Evaluation of teletherapy>, <Suggestions for operating teletherapy>. The implication is that the study confirmed the positives and limitations of teletherapy as a new counseling method. Lastly, the study's limitations and suggestions for future research were discussed.

        한국 언론의 탐사보도와 시민공동체 형성의 전망

        This study analyzes investigative reports of Korean newspapers in terms of opportunities and challenges entailed in the pursuit of public journalism. By re-mapping the journalist’s role from observer to participant, engaging citizens in public issues, and searching for resolutions and alternatives, the key question was raised regarding how investigative reports embody the essence of public journalism. Specifically, in order to assure the quality of news articles, the investigative reports awarded the Journalist of the Month have been analyzed. It was found that investigative news reports deviate from the objectivity of journalistic norm, but have limitations in exploring remedies of the social problems. Furthermore, the news reports fail to establish social networks to connect citizens, civic organizations, experts, and the government. Moreover, little efforts were made in facilitating deliberative activities of citizens. Notwithstanding, it is meaningful that this is the first attempt to evaluate the news articles awarded the Journalist of the Month in light of potentials and limitations of public journalism.

        This study proposes the theory of news communication in the attempt to explore prototypes of news. The theory conceptualizes conversational news to indicate news communicated through conversation between individuals, and social relationship formulated by conversational news is termed as conversational relationship. In order to examine various ethnic groups, anthropological theories and methodologies have been applied. As a first step, in-depth interview and field observation of members of a Filipino community have been conducted. Conversation between the members was recorded, and a sentential analysis was performed. Based on the transcription of conversation, four dimensions of sentential structure as well as two dimensions of news attributes were created. Correspondence analysis of those variables unveiled the structures and patterns of news communication of Filipinos. The news communication theory is viewed to involve a number of policy implications given the interdependent relationships between nations in contemporary society.

        The concept of social content has been proposed to promote public interest of broadcast media in the era facing the changing landscape of digital communication and media convergence. Social content denotes broadcast content in which audiences participate in the process of its production by utilizing social media. In doing so, broadcast media is expected to strengthen individuals communitarian attitudes and public networking as well as the medias positive intervention in various social issues. This paper has conducted an online survey to investigate how social media use is related to attitudes of social content participants. First, a multivariate regression analysis revealed the relationship between the patterns of social media use and various dimensions of attitudes towards broadcast media. Second, categorical variables representing social media features and most-wanted social content genres were analyzed by a correspondence analysis. This study is the first step of investigation about potential participants to embody social content. Social content is expected to transform the industry-driven vertical mechanism of broadcast content towards the audience-driven bottom-up process.

        디지털 시대의 초ㆍ중등 국악교육 지원을 위한 국립국악원 e-국악아카데미의 활성화 방안

        This study aims to suggest a plan to revitalize the National Gugak Center's e-Gugak Academy to support gugak education in elementary, middle, and high schools, considering the changing direction of school education in the digital age. To this end, it examines the changing aspects of school education in the digital age through literature research and reviews the contents development status and usability in school education by analyzing the National Gugak Center's e-Gugak Academy site. As a result, it is found that school education in the digital era emphasizes the orientation of learner-centered customized education based on digital technology and the establishment of future teaching and learning methods and evaluation systems. In addition, the National Gugak Center's e-Gugak Academy is analyzed to have utility as basic data for gugak teaching materials based on the music curriculum, multimedia gugak teaching and learning materials, extraction of gugak instruction contents, and design of gugak teaching and learning methods. Based on these results, this study proposes a direction to improve the usability of the National Gugak Center's e-Gugak Academy in school education in the digital era as ‘strengthening the educational function of the e-Gugak Academy as a digital gugak education platform.’ And as a concrete way to reach this direction, this study focuses on two aspects: ‘customized gugak education support’ and ‘digital-based gugak class support’.

      • 2015 개정 교육과정의 중학교 과학 교과서와 고등학교 화학 교과서의 연계 단원에 사용된 비유의 분석

        In this study, we analyzed the analogies used in the interrelated chapters between Middle School Science and High School Chemistry textbooks published under the 2015 revised national curriculum. High School textbooks utilize more analogies than the Middle School textbooks, since the level of the contents gets more difficult moving into upper levels of chemistry textbooks. A frequency analysis of the analogy use shows that the section of “structure of matter” has the highest frequency, while “properties of matter” has the lowest. Most of the analogies are represented in a proper manner, but limitations and clear boundaries of analogies use have not been sufficiently mentioned. Based on these results, educational implications are discussed.
