        The Performance Stability of Ophthalmic Material with UV-Block Effect Containing Hydroxyl Benzophenone Group and Tungsten Nanoparticles

        In this study, the functional hydrogel ophthalmic lens containing tungsten oxide nanoparticles, 2,4-dihydroxy benzophenone and 2-hydroxy-4-(methacryloyloxy) benzophenone were manufactured. HEMA (2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate), MMA (methyl methacrylate), AA(acrylic acid), the cross-linker EGDMA (ethylene glycol dimethacrylate), the initiator AIBN (azobisisobutyronitrile) and the functional additives including tungsten oxide nanoparticles, 2,4-dihydroxy benzophenone, and 2-hydroxy-4-(methacryloyloxy) benzophenone were used respectively. The measurements of water content and refractive index of the sample was decreased and increased, respectively. And also, the UV transmittance of produced lens containing 2,4-dihydroxy benzophenone, 2-hydroxy-4-(methacryloyloxy) benzophenone and tungsten oxide nanoparticles was measured. Based on the results of this study, it is judged that the performance improvement increased over time when 2-hydroxy-4-(methacryloyloxy) benzophenone was used as an additive, while the use of tungsten oxide nanoparticles influenced on blue-ray-blocking effect of the hydrophilic lens.

        불소 및 카르복시기로 치환된 피리딘을 첨가제로 사용한 기능성 소프트 콘택트렌즈의 항균작용 및 특성

        Purpose: This study evaluated the physical and optical characteristics of hydrophilic contact lens polymerized with addition of 2-fluoro-4-pyridinecarboxylic acid and 6-fluoropyridine-3-carboxylic acid in the basic hydrogel contact lens material, and in particular, the utility of 2-fluoro-4-pyridinecarboxylic acid and 6-fluoropyridine-3-carboxylic acid as a contact lens material for ophthalmologic devices was investigated. Methods: In this study 2-fluoro-4-pyridinecarboxylic acid and 6-fluoropyridine-3-carboxylic acid were used as additives. 2-Hydroxyethyl methacrylate, methyl methacrylate, acrylic acid and a cross-linker EGDMA were copolymerized in the presence of AIBN as an initiator. Results: The physical properties of the produced polymers were measured as followings. The refractive index of 1.4348~1.4300, water content of 33.69~35.84%, visible transmittance of 89.6~90.8%, tensile strength of 0.2292~0.3344kgf, and contact angle of 76.05°~50.95°were obtained. The results of contact lens containing 2-fluoro-4-pyridinecarboxylic acid and 6- fluoropyridine-3-carboxylic acid (add 5%) showed antibiosis for staphylococcus aureus. Result: Based on the results of this study, contact lens material containing 2-fluoro- 4-pyridinecarboxylic acid and 6-fluoropyridine-3-carboxylic acid is expected to be able to be used usefully as a material for high wettability, antibiosis and UV-block hydrogel contact lens. 목 적: 본 연구는 2-fluoro-4-pyridinecarboxylic acid 및 6-fluoropyridine-3-carboxylic acid를 사용하여 친수성 하이드로젤 콘택트렌즈 재질을 중합하고 제조된 친수성 콘택트렌즈의 물리적, 광학적 특성을 분석하여 이들 물질들의 콘택트렌즈 재료로서의 활용도를 알아보았다. 방 법: 본 연구는 카르복시산 및 불소로 치환한 피리딘을 2가지 이상 첨가제로 사용하여 친수성 콘택트렌즈의 기본적인 재질인 HEMA(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate), AA(acrylic acid), MMA(methylme‐thacrylate), 개시제인 AIBN(azobisisobutyronitrile), 그리고 교차결합제인 EGDMA(ethylene glycol dimethacrylate)를 사용하여 공중합하였다. 결 과: 생성된 고분자의 물리적 특성을 측정한 결과, 굴절률 1.4348-1.4300, 함수율 33.69~35.84%, 가시광선 투과율 89.6~90.8%, 인장강도 0.2292-0.3344kgf 그리고 접촉각의 경우 76.05°~50.95°의 분포를 나타내었다. 또한 황색포도상구균에 대한 항균실험 결과 2-fluoro-4-pyridinecarboxylic acid 및 6- fluoropyridine-3-carboxylic acid를 5% 첨가했을 때 항균효과가 다소 있는 것으로 나타났다. 결 론: 본 실험 결과, 2-fluoro-4-pyridinecarboxylic acid 및 6-fluoropyridine-3-carboxylic acid를 첨가하여 제조된 친수성 콘택트렌즈는 기본적인 콘택트렌즈 물성을 만족하였으며 우수한 습윤성과 항균성 및 자외선 차단 콘택트렌즈로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

        Preparation and Characterization of Antibacterial Dental Resin Cement Material

        Bis-GMA, TEGDMA, and camphorquinone were used as the main material, cross-linking agent, and photoinitiator, respectively. In addition, 2-isocyanatoethyl methacrylate was used as an additive for high strength, while the 3-hydroxypyridine was used as an additive for antibacterial activity. Photopolymerization was also carried out at a 440-480 nm wavelength and at about 1000 mW/cm2 intensity for about 40 seconds. The breaking strength measurement of the samples showed that the breaking strength increased along with increasing the addition ratio of IEM, while it took less time until the polymerization was complete, thereby suggesting that the degree of polymerization has the tendency to increase. And also, compared to the size of the clear zone formed by ampicillin, the 3-hydroxypyridine group exhibited antimicrobial activity induced by ampicillin. The results of this study suggest that the use of 2-isocyanatoethyl methacrylate as an additive for high strength and 3-hydroxypyridine as an additive for improved antibacterial activity would improve the usability of the fabricated polymer as a dental resin cement material with high functionality.

        할로겐과 카르복시산으로 치환된 피리딘 첨가제를 사용한 소프트 콘택트렌즈의 물성 평가

        목적: 본 연구는 3-chloropyridine-4-carboxylic acid와 3-fluoropyridine-4-carboxylic acid를 첨가제로 사용하여 소프트 콘택트렌즈 제조 후 물리적 및 광학성 특성을 분석하여 콘택트렌즈 재료로서 활용도를 알아보았다. 방법: 본 실험에서는 소프트 하이드로젤 콘택트렌즈의 주재료인 HEMA (2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate)와 AA(acylic acid), MMA(methacrylic acid) 그리고 개시제인 AIBN(azobisisobutyronitrile), 교차결합제인 EGDMA(ethylene glycol dimethacrylate)를 사용하여 공중합 하였다. 결과: 생성된 고분자의 물리적 특성을 측정한 결과, 굴절률 1.4320~ 1.4342, 함수율 34.54~37.15%, 접촉각 57.82~79.57o, 인장강도 0.2872~0.3608로 각각 나타났고 광학적 특성 측정 결과 가시광선 영역에서는 투과율이 88.8~90.6%로 나타났으며, UV-B 76.8~82.4%, UV-A 84.6~86.6%로 각각 나타났다. 결론: 본 실험 결과 3-chloropyridine-4-carboxylic acid 및 3-fluoropyridine-4-carboxylic acid를 첨가제로 사용하였을 때 고습윤성 및 자외선 차단기능을 가진 콘택트렌즈 재료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. Conclusions: Based on the results of this study, contact lens material containing 3-chloropyridine-4- carboxylic acid and 3-fluoropyridine-4-carboxylic acid is expected to be able to used as a material for high wettability and UV-block hydrogel contact lens.

        Comparative Study of Physical Properties of Functional Ophthalmic Hydrogel Lens Using Photo and Thermal Polymerization

        In this study, HEMA, MMA, AA, and EGDMA were used as basic combinations for manufacturing hydrophilic lenses for ophthalmic applications. In addition, AIBN (thermal polymerization initiator), 2H2M (photo polymerization initiator), and 3-hydroxypyridine (additive) were used to manufacture hydrophilic ophthalmic lenses through thermal polymerization and photo polymerization before their physical properties were measured. The results showed that when ophthalmic lenses were prepared via thermal polymerization and photo polymerization using 3-hydroxypyridine as an additive, their optical and physical properties and surface structures were different in each case, but they all satisfied the physical properties required for ophthalmic lenses.

      • 시장지배적지위 남용금지제도의 시행에 대한 검토

        우리나라에서 시장지배적 지위 남용금지제도는 그 시행기간에 비추어 보면 아직도 초보적 단계라고 할 것이다. 따라서 완성된 제도로서 규제제도를 이해하기보다는 개선되어가는 제도로서 이를 이해할 필요가 있다. 또한 본고에서는 구체적으로 규제제도의 시행 실적을 검토하고 그 오류들을 지적함으로써 향후의 개선방향에 대한 토대를 마련하고자 한다. 그 개선방향은 기본적으로 효율적인 규제제도를 시행하기 위하여 되도록 일관된 법체계를 제정$\cdot$시행하자는 것으로 요약될 수 있을 것이다. 즉, 경제행위에 대한 규제자체가 사회적 비용인 이상(즉 무료의 규제는 없다) 최소한의 비용으로 최대의 효과를 얻을 수 있는 효율적인 규제제도의 정비 및 시행이 사회적으로 바람직한 것임은 더 말할 나위도 없을 것이기 때문이다.
