A Rate Dependent Plasticity Model under Cyclic Loading of Metals
김동건,Kim, Dongkeon,Dargush, Gary F. Korean Society for Advanced Composite Structures 2013 복합신소재학회논문집 Vol.4 No.1
In real world applications, the response of structures may be dependent on the rate of loading and thus can be affected by transient loading, especially when the rate of loading is significant. In such situations, the rate of loading may become a major issue to understand structures during earthquake excitation or under blast or high velocity impact. In some cases, the rate effect on structures under strong earthquake excitation cannot be ignored when attempting to understand inelastic behavior of structures. Many researchers developed the constitutive theories in cyclic plasticity and viscoplasticity. In this study, numerical simulation by cyclic visocoplasticity models is introduced and analyzed. Finally, the analytical results are compared with experimental results as a means to evaluate and verify the model.

This research tries classifying the classic Korean texts Chunhyangga. Chunhyangga has various versions, and eighty-three versions of Chunhyangga were built and annotated to be analyzed in this research. The similarity between versions were calculated pairwise by Jaccard similarity score, and this scores between versions were converted to distance measures. The distance scores were used as raw materials to show how various versions could be classified and clustered. Hierarchical clustering methods were used to analyse the distance matrix, and the result shows that this method can provide enough supplements to the study of Korean classic versions as a tool of literature computing.

This research tries to apply a computational process to the traditional method of classical text critics and contents analysis. Traditional researches on Korean classical texts are based on researchers intuitional criteria in classifying various versions by giving weights on some narratives, not by comparing whole narrative structures. For using computational approaches to classical text critics, the electronic text is built as a raw corpus and the contents types are encoded into the narrative segements on the corpus. The Jaccard algorithm is used to measure the similarity and dissimilarity between narrative segments of the corresponding versions. The measured distances are analyzed by the multi-dimensional scaling and hierarchical clustering methods, and visualized to show the dissimilarity of versions by their content types. Through this research, the distances between versions in the same text group are measured in detail.

Personal or population exposure to hazardous air pollutants has often been assessed by time-weighted average model with combining concentrations of indoor environments and time-activity pattern, which were mainly a single measurement. However, daily levels of air pollutants in indoor environments may greatly be changed because of source emission, ventilation, decay rate and so on. Subsequently exposure by a single measurement in indoor environments could not be assessed properly. In this study, we measured the consecutive 21 daily indoor and outdoor measurements of nitrogen dioxide (NO₂) with 37 houses and 19 shops such as restaurants and coffee shops beside street by using of passive samplers. Considering that average concentration during 21 days was true value, paired t-test was conducted. Daily variations of NO₂ in houses with constant or low emission source were different from those in restaurants with irregular or high emission source. These results can be explained that the NO₂ emission of indoor sources could affect the validity of measurement periods.
