The increase in oil prices and the rising environmental concerns are boost the electric vehicle supply. Vehicle manufactures understand this trend quite well and plan to increase the production of electric vehicle(EV) such as Toyota PRIUS, Nissan LEAF and GM VOLT etc.. The growth of intermittent renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power requires utilities to find additional grid coupled energy storage and regulation capacity. EVs have a battery pack and a charger. The charger can be able to deliver power back to the grid from the vehicle’s battery as well as charge the battery. The concept of deploying EVs to stabilize the electric power grid is generally referred to as Vehicle-to-Grid(V2G). We present the state of V2G technology and demonstrations.

We will propose the integrated management system for Electric Vehicle Charging Stands. They are controlled by a remote monitoring server. All informations transferred by charging stands are stored in the database, and are used for Analysis. By using the accumulated data, the proposed system can predict the amount of electricity. Users can read various reports using the web browser. Also, the proposed system can be employed in V2G due to bidirectional communication ability and remote control ability.

To reduce inference of any power delivery failures in underground power cable, power system operators are trying to find effective way of finding fault location as soon as possible. But it is very difficult to find fault location exactly for underground power cable. We are developing fault location system for underground power cable which can detect its fault location exactly. This new system monitors current and voltage of underground power cable by using low voltage and current sensors and if there are any accidents, it records its transient signal. Fault location is calculated by analyzing recorded signal. To develop fault location system for power cable, we needed fault simulation system and we installed it physically and tested at various point. Electrification of transportation has become an essential trend that is actively supported by environmentalists, scientists, and governors. Also, it makes a special attention from energy sector by creating an opportunity for “vehicle-to-grid” (V2G) power. The V2G coordination is expected to show a win-win environment for both vehicle owner and power utility. Each V2G transaction must be a solution for a multi-variable function of vehicle’s status, generation information, load demand, and pricing data. The flexibility and intelligence of V2G operation require a well understanding of the interconnection between vehicle and power grid as a whole. This paper analyzes these variations of above factors and their roles in V2G formation.
