This paper describes the current status of our research on the development of a program that allows users to easily generate surface panels for fast aerodynamic analysis which can be used in the conceptual design phase of aircraft development. It takes advantage of the CATIA program for defining the shape of the aircraft, and the shape modeling module has been developed to produce aircraft model in the STL format files, and the paneling module produces a grid of the surface panels along the STL surface data. The resultant panel data are plugged into a commercial analysis code(e.g. USAERO program) for the fast and iterative flow calculation. The current approach can reduce the cost in terms of time and labor required in the earlier stage of aircraft development.

The aerodynamic analysis is combined into a PIDO tool in conjunction with a number of programs in order to integrate processes for the optimal design. Due to design optimization’s iterative feature, it may require lots of time and cost. To relieve this problem, cost-reduction of computation time for aerodynamic analysis is pursued by using the Panel-method, and reduction of grid generation time by automating surface panelling.

평판형 디스플레이 적용을 위한 내장형 Multiple U-Type 안테나를 이용한 유도결합형 플라즈마에 관한 연구

본 연구에서는 대면적 플라즈마 공정에 적용 가능한 고밀도 플라즈마를 발생시키기 위하여 기존의 내장형 serpentine-type 안테나와 새롭게 고안된 내장형 유도결합형 multiple U-Type 안테나를 1020mm X 920mm(기판 880 X 660mm)의 챔버에서 연구하였다. 내장형 유도결합형 multiple U-type을 적용한 플라즈마는 serpentine-type과 비교하여 더 높은 플라즈마 밀도, 높은 radical 밀도, 좋은 균일도를 관찰할 수 있었다. 이는 serpentine-type의 경우와 비교하여 보다 적은 정상파 효과와 높은 유도결합에 기인한다. 내장형 유도결합형 multiple U-type 안테나의 적용으로 $2\times10^{11}/cm^3$의 높은 플라즈마 밀도를 얻을 수 있었고 5000W의 입력전압과 Ar 가스 15mTorr 공정압력조건에서 4%의 균일도를 관찰할 수 있었다. In this study, the characteristics of large area internal linear ICP sources of 1020mm X 920mm(substrate area is 880 X 660mm) were investigated using two different types of antenna, that is, a conventional serpentine-type antenna and a newly developed multiple U-type antenna. The multiple antenna showed a higher plasma density, a higher radical density, and more plasma stability compared to the serpentine-type antenna, and it appeared from the higher inductively coupling and less standing wave effect compared to the serpentine-type antenna. Using the multiple U-type antenna, the plasma density of $2\times10^{11}/cm^3$ with the plasma uniformity of 4% could be obtained using 15mTorr Ar and 5000W of RF power.

Many application in human computer interaction (HCI) require tracking a human face and facial features. In this paper we propose efficient parallel processing system for face tracking under heterogeneous networked workstations. To track a face in the video image we use the skin color information and connected components. In terms of parallelism we choose the master-slave model which has thread for each processes, master and slaves. The threads are responsible for real computation in each process. By placing the queues between the threads we give flexibility of data flowing.

In spite of adverse circumstances, dairy food industry of Korea has been developed continuously with the every efforts of farmers, processors, researchers and government officers. Development and extension of new technology, such as safety assurance, improvement of nutritive ingredient, and keeping freshness are very important issues considering short shelf life of dairy products which are prevalent in Korea. In addition to, demands for advanced technology would be increased rapidly with the increase of consumption, development of high quality products supply structure, decrease of production basis, and appearance of environmental problems. And demands for information about standard would be enlarged. Development of new products and technology for quality improvement should be evolved with the application of developed technology and cooperation of relative institutes in order to enlarge the consumption of milk and dairy products. In conclusion, efficient production on the basis of balance and development of dairy products which are safe and high quality are the most important subjects for the development of dairy industry in Korea.
