The gravels in the border districts of the rivers and waterways show the distribution of the rocks and pebbles in the valleys of the streams, having expressed the facts that the shapes and the sizes were different according to the distances which were carried by being separated from the origin rocks, and it moreover can be recognized with the phenomena that their relative frequences and covered-rates are dependent upon the physical and chemical properties about the stones from the effects of investigation centered the areas of Keum Chum. Though all the figures examined and analysed through Table 1-9 could not be disicive cases, in the upper streams of a certain distance, it can be grasped the general things that some kinds of stones will be capable of being distributed over the areas within a certain extent, and judging from it that the number of gravels were remarkably increased approaching toward the upper stream, it is inferred that the distances are short which are given from the origin rocks. For Granite influenced easily weathering, Limestone by chemical phenomena, Schist by physical ones, … etc,, have much possibility to be worn out in proportion to their distances carried. And Seeing that the kinds of stones in Quaternary don't appear throughout the whole areas of investigation, it can be guessed that unstable stones would be reduced to sands by dint of rapid currents and firm stones.

It is desirable to learn rocks from field work in out doors, but when it is difficult, in order to get learning effect we have recommended the teaching method which can be accomplished by making the most of rack teaching gardens attached to schools. In this study, we have performed an investigation the actual condition of rack teaching gardens on 183 primary schools which are loacated in Taegu City and Kyoungbuck Province, and also have done an investigation into the basic discriminating power of rocks, the subject of ivestigation including 180 teachers holding a prominent post. We have found out much problems through this investigation, I have, therefore, suggested some devices for to make these problems better and supplement. I belive that some counterplans presented in this paper will be helpful somewhat to teaching a course of natural science in primary schools.

Rocks are the important teaching materials which can be easily collected from our surroundings to be studied and examined. In spite of the fact, they are in reality neglected to be nothing because of the preoccupation that the judgement and classification of the rocks are the sort of difficult jobs which need expensive equipments, professional knowledges and skills. In this study the writer tried to show that the sufficient examination and judgement of the rocks with the naked eyes are possible through our efforts and, as a concrete illustration, presented the original judgement lists of rocks made from his own-made rock specimens. One can classify any kind of rocks, if not weathered, by following the indication of the lists carefully not to make any misjudgement. This kind of judgement method on rocks is a little different from that appeared in the contemporary books by making some corrections and supplements by the writer. He, also, took field-investigations widely in the distribution area of his rock specimens to make certain the real objects compared with those in the lists and added brief expiations of the structures and utilities of the specimens besides their nomanclatures in the lists.

It has become an urgent problem to tackle possitively on the exploitation of the underground water which is closely related today with the problem of all-weather agriculture and water sources for industrial use. I have found marked fluctuation of the underground-water level after I observed the water level of several fountains within Andong city and its vicinity which were affected by the condition of rain fall, atmospheric pressure level of the river, pressure of the passing train, etc. Though the result of this observation will make least contribution to the practical purposes, it seems to be something to show a scientific observation method to know about the level and quantity of the underground-water in a certain area. The writer believes to be sure that if it is necessary to get some data about the underground-water level condition in a vast area and utilize them, it is recommendable to organize a kind of corporation which would play a main role to select several fountains in each county throughout the country and constantly observe the water level of them under certain conditions and standards, which would, when analyized, result some valuable data to be studied for foretelling the future level of the underground water as well as the historic grasp of the fluctuation of it.

It is one of the most effective ways of teaching natural science at school, directly from nature on the spot. Here, as the practicable way for this education, the materials of natural resources for this class in the rural area should be necessary for this study. Therefore, as the objects of this study, the 440 teachers at the primary schools in Taegu city and Kyungbuk province were given the questionnaire about the present statues of teaching materials for the classes of science at the schools for this study and some of the problems were found. Thus, the way of solving problems was groped as the findings, and they were adapted in the science teaching classes at the schools. Then the way of teaching by this study was much more effected than expected for this education. Therefore this way should be used in the classes and will be expected better for the field of this study.

The two hundreds and two primary schools in gyeongbug Province were selected as the objects of this study. the actual states of using astronomical materials for teaching at primary school were examined and many problems were found To solve these problems, some counterplans were suggested in this paper, at the same time the learning materials exhibiting the constellation which I had designed before and its using methods were also presented in this study. I hope these suggestions will help the teaching of the astronomical subject in elementary school.
