About 15% of sunlight energy incoming to solar cell is converted into electrical energy, and the remainder of absorbed energy is converted into thermal energy. Solar cell efficiency is generally decreased if the junction temperature is increased. Solar cell system must be designed for the increase of efficiency by the effective cooling. In this study, heat pipe with mesh wick is used for heat sink cooling the solar cell. Working fluid in heat pipe heat sink attached to solar cell panel, which the length is 76.9 cm and inclination is 60 degree, must be returned to the top part for continuous operation. So the flow length of working fluid in heat pipe was changed by partition, and the maximum capillary heat quantity and fin length were designed according to the length of partition and mesh number by theoretical analysis, and the temperature of heat pipe heat sink was measured by experiment according to heating quantity.
