Through long-term monitoring using a certified phased array ultrasonic flaw detector, the propagation rate of defects in rail was examined. In addition, analysis results were compared with results of a prediction model of crack propagation of rail defects using a program based on the change of rail defect propagation rate and the theory of failure mechanics. As a result, it was found that accumulated tonnage and various factors influenced rail internal defect propagation;results were compared with the analysis fatigue diagram, and the model of predicted rail internal crack propagation was found to accurately reflect the actual railway conditions and allow the derivation of safety analysis results for track performance.
레일표면요철 관리를 위한 레일두부표면 상태평가 기술개발 연구

본 연구에서는 기존 레일용접부 직진도 검사 시스템의 레일 물성변화(재질, 온도변화)에 따른 측정오차가 발생하는 단점을 보완하기 위해 와전류 및 레이저 센서간의 차이점을 분석하고 레이저 기반의 레일용접부 직진도 검사 시스템을 개발하였다. 기존 시스템과의 프로그램 및 현장측정을 통해 시스템 검증을 실시하였고 동일한 분석값을 도출하여 시스템 성능 검증을 완료하였다. 또한, 개발 시스템의 현장측정을 통해 레일표면 품질지수 QI 값을 계산할 수 있는 1차식을 도출하였으며, 측정 정밀도 향상을 위해 데이터를 0.5mm로 수집하고 표면 미세 형상변화 측정과 레일용접부 이외의 표면결함을 부가적으로 측정할 수 있는 시스템 개발 연구를 진행하였다. In this study, the difference between an eddy current and a laser sensor was analyzed to compensate for the measurement error caused by changes in rail properties (material, temperature change) of the existing rail weld straightness inspection system, and a laser-based straightness inspection system for rail welds was developed. System verification was performed through the program and through field measurement with the existing system; the system performance verification was completed by deriving the same analysis value. In addition, a first-order formula was derived to calculate the rail surface quality index (QI) value through on-site measurement of the developed system. It is judged that it is additionally possible to measure surface defects.
Project level에서의 철도 PC Beam교량의 경년열화모델구성 및 유지관리비용 추정

Construction project have extremely high risk in the process of construction owing to unexpected event, like as design amendment. As a result, owner have to endure enormous extra-cost to control the risk and continue to the project having more higher uncertainty. Also, if the structure is completed, it is needed that the structure is protected and maintained continuously during life cycle time to satisfying original aim of structure itself. LCC analysis to calculate cost of structure alternatives divides into two stage, one is design_LCC and the other is maintenace_LCC. But two stages all is needed in the transition deterioration model to calculate more reasonable LCC analysis. This paper developed the model using analysis of FMS contents and survey from professional about Prestressed concrete beam girder bridge(PC Beam bridge)in railway. The model is focused in project level of PC beam because any condition state information for element level analysis can not get up. This paper is intended to use the developed model in LCC analysis of PC Beam bridge in railway and constitute the foundation to perform more deep study in the near future.
고정크로싱 분기기 증속시험을 통한 차량의 주행안전성 평가

현재 분기기 직선측 최대 통과속도 제한기준은 일본의 협궤사용에 따른 주행안전성 확보를 위한 기준을 준용한 것으로 표준궤를 사용하는 국내의 분기기 최대 통과속도 산정기준은 없는 실정이며, 국내에 부설된 고정크로싱 분기기의 경우 설계속도 180km/h로 제작됨에 따라 일반철도에 부설된 분기기 최대 통과속도와 40km/h 차이를 가지고 있어 열차운행 측면에서 속도향상이 지속적으로 요구되고 있다. 따라서 고정크로싱 분기기 직선측 최대 통과속도 현실화를 위해 단계별 증속시험을 통한 현차주행 성능시험을 시행하여 분기기 종류별, 열차종별, 속도대별 차량 주행안전기준 만족여부를 검증하였다. The current general turnout passing speed limit regulations on straight sections is based on the standard for securing running stability Japan where a narrow gauge is being used. However, in Korea there is no appropriate turnout passing speed calculation standard as a standard gauge is being used. In addition, all rigid crossing turnouts have been manufactured with the design speed of 180km/h, 40km/h lower than the passing speed limit of the turnouts laid on general railways. Therefore, it is consistently requested to improve the speed with a view to stable train operations. As a result, we carried out the road running performance test through staged speed-up tests in an attempt to exceed the speed limit on the straight sections of the rigid crossing turnout to validate if all the rolling stock running safety requirements were met regardless of turnout type, train type, or speed range.

최근 연약지반 장대레일 구간에서 노반침하 발생으로 열차안전운행을 위한 도상횡저항력 확보, 궤도선형관리 등 유지보수를 반복적으로 시행하고 있으나 반복적인 도상자갈 보충에 따른 증가된 도상두께의 적정성에 대한 검토가 요구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 연약지반 장대레일 일부구간을 대상으로 도상두께 및 어깨높이에 따른 도상횡저항력의 영향을 분석하고, 향후 노반침하가 지속 될 경우의 운영 및 유지관리 입장에서 대책을 제시하였다. Recently the roadbed settlement is occurring to the soft ground CWR track. It is repeatedly performed in order to secure train safety and maintenance for ensuring lateral resistance and track linear management. But the review of the adequacy of the ballast thickness to continue to enforce ballast supplement is required. In this study, soft ground CWR track of some sections analyzed the impact of the lateral resistance in accordance to and shoulder height. Forward roadbed settlement of the case to be continued is suggested alternatives in operational and maintenance
철도 PC Beam교량의 전이확률을 이용한 상태저하 모델개발

Recently, as a method of green-development and reduction of carbon dioxide emissions, increased interest has been focused on a railway. Furthermore, an intensive study has been processed on capabilities of maintenance activities, economic efficiency of maintenance on rail structure and a design of railway structure as well as the development of materials. The purpose of this paper is to develop a deteriorated model of PC Beam Bridge due to timely changes and maintenance activities. Typically, there is definite difference between maintained bridges and non-maintained bridges. As a result of proper maintenance activity, a life time of a structure can be enhanced. In this study, we will research and analyze structures with ongoing maintenance. We will also process same procedures on structures without maintenance. Therefore, we can establish the significant role in a conditional change of a structure. Based on a study, we accomplish the development of a condition-deteriorated model. To develop deteriorated model of PC Beam Bridge, We apply Marcov Theory and develop a transition probability to show the life time of bridge. This study will provide a great benefit to decision making for maintenance activities on the railway bridges for future.
