페르소나(persona)는 인간이 소유한 자아로 타인 에게 비치는 외적 욕망을 나타내는 것으로 묘사될 수 있다. 현대 예술가에 영향을 준 주요 요인으로 페르소나는 회화 구성의 내적작용을 한다. 초기 사진작업에서 예술가들이 사진을 찍고 기록하는 과정 에서 이미지의 내적요소를 표현하려 한 것과는 반 대로, 현대 예술가는 사진에서 표현된 내적 자아가 조작되어진다는 것을 인식하였다. 그리고 또한 그러 한 종류의 조작 결과를 유추하거나, 왜 그러한 조작 이 이루어졌는지를 분석함으로써 사진과 사회, 그리 고 사진과 개인 간의 관계를 풀려고 하였다. 본 연 구에서는 그들의 방식으로 독특한 페르소나를 전개 한 5명의 사진 예술가들을 선택하고, 각 예술가들 이 다양한 작업을 통해 페르소나를 적용한 방법이 나 특성을 조사하였다. 그 결과로 사진과 페르소나 의 관련성과 이를 반영한 현대 사진에서의 역할을 정의하였다. 서론에서 연구의 배경 및 필요성과 방법을 서술 하였다. 연구의 자료 분석 장에서는 인물사진의 전 개와 진행 이를 주제로 한 선택된 5명의 사진예술 가들의 작품에서 드러나는 페르소나의 정의와 페르소나의 사진적 표현 등을 분석하였다. 결론에서는 페르소나를 반영한 선택된 작가들의 사진 작품 분 석을 통하여 드러난 다양한 표현의 특징과 중요성을 종합하고, 영상에서 새로로 페르소나적 표현과 중요성을 제시하였다. The aspect of picture that it can be used as a tool to express persona became the main factor which inspires modern artists. On the contrary to early artists in the history of photography who had tried to express the internal of the image from just taking one`s picture and recording it , modern artists cognize that the inner of oneself expressed in photograph has been manipulated. And inversely, by analogizing the outcome those kind of manipulations and directions can bring or by analogizing the motive why those manipulations have been made , they try to explore about relation between photograph and society and relation between photograph and individual. The next five artists that would be introduced try to explore peculiarity of persona in their own way. On this thesis, by examining how property of persona has been used in each artist`s work through various artworks, defines the relationship between photograph and persona and contemplates the role of modern photography. In introduction, verbal contents such as background and necessity of this study and range and method has been mentioned. In main body of the thesis, there are contents of progress and development of portrait photograph, definition of persona and study of photograph expression of persona which is seen through five artists. In conclusion, these processes are estimated and synthesized to propose inspiration for various expression of photography and significance of this study.

INTER-MEDIA ART에서 착종(錯綜) 현상에 관한 고찰

예술가들은 다양한 미디어를 창작활동에 끌어들 여 새로운 예술을 만들어내는데 활용하고자 하였으며, 이에 따라 예술작품의 형태는 미디어의 특성에 맞춰 변모하기도 하였다. 이와 같은 현상은 음악, 미술, 무용, 연극, 영화 등 예술의 각 장르에서 공 통되게 나타났다고 할 수 있다. 그 중에서도 미디어 간의 협업과 수렴 현상은 1960년대에 들어 정점에 이르렀으며, 이 때 이후로 발전된 양식들은 어느 한 장르(genres)로 설명하기 어려운 형태를 띠게 되었으며, 한 예술 장르의 변형이라기보다는 ``인터미디어 아트(intermedia art)``라는 새로운 이름으로 정의해야 할 필요에 직면하게 되었다. 딕히긴스 (Dick Higgins)에 의해 처음으로 사용된 이 용어는 각각의 미디어의 특성이 구분할 수 없이 합쳐진 형 태의 예술을 일컫는다. 즉, 인터미디어 아트의 기본 적인 요건이자 가장 큰 특징은 바로 착종(錯綜) 현 상이라 할 수 있으며, 여기에서부터 다시 미래의 미 술의 전개를 점쳐볼 수 있다. 인터미디어 아트는 각 장르의 특성을 유지한 채 병렬적으로 결합된 예술, 혹은 한 장르에 중점을 두고 타 장르의 표현양식을 빌려 온 예술을 넘어서는 것이며, 어느 한 장르가 주가 되고, 다른 장르가 그에 종속되는 것이 아니 다. 그것은 각각의 독립성을 유지하면서도 함께 어우러져, 각각의 단일 장르를 넘어선 그 이상의 예술을 보여주는 것이며, 그 속에서 과거의 예술과는 전 혀 다른 미적 체험을 유발하는 것이다. 컴퓨터 및 기타 전자매체의 발전은 이러한 현상의 숨은 공로 자로 관객의 보다 적극적인 개입을 허용하는 요소 가 되기도 한다. 인터미디어 아트의 등장 이후 작가 가 다양한 분야를 섭렵하고 나아가 타 분야 작가들 과 공동작업을 하는 현상이 보편화되기 시작했으며, 이를 위한 학제의 변화 및 보여 지는 방식에도 변 화가 일어나고 있다. Artists tried to take the new media into their creation to make the new art and thus a form of art to suit the characteristics of the media could even have transformed. This kind of phenomenon commonly appears in every genre of art such as art, music, dance, play and film . Among them, a collaboration between the media reached at the height in the 1960s, from then the advanced forms needed to be defined as a new name which is ``intermedia art`` rather than being a transformation of a genre of art. This word which was first used from Dick Higgins has a meaning of art which has become one so that characteristics of each medias can not be distinguished. In other words, the main characteristic and the basic requirement is an entangling phenomenon, and from here, future development of art can be predicted. Intermedia art is beyond the art that is paratactically combined maintaining each genre`s characteristic or the art that focuses on one genre borrowing modes of representation of other genre and it is not something that where there is one main genre and some other genre subordinates it. It is to . It arouses experience of art which is completely different from the past art. The development of computers and other electronic medias is the hidden merit and it also allows vieweres to intervene more actively. After the appearance of Intermedia art , artists could range over diverse fields and the phenomenon of coworking with other genre`s artists has started to be generalized. And the school systems and the way of beeing shown are having a change also.
