The main shape of impulsive acceleration by the undersea explosion is composed of the positive and negative half sine shaped acceleration, so called the double shape impulsive acceleration. Generally, the first positive acceleration has the higher peak and shorter period and the second negative acceleration has the lower peak and longer period. The impact test equipment should be able to reconstruct the shape of the acceleration in order to estimate the safety and stability of the equipments installed in the ship. The design goal is to make simplify the complex structure due to the various shapes of the impulsive acceleration by using the controllable damping force of MR damper.
