Every manufacturing company is facing trends & challenges from their operating market. On average all KPIs & Initiatives are built on Delivery, Cost, Safety & Quality. In that regard, companies try to meet customer expectations and defined product requirements by using a baseline of CAD/ DMU & Process Planning tools and relying on Simulation, Expert Opinion & Physical Prototypes. But due to financial, timing, or other restrictions, there is still a high remaining risk and inefficiencies in achieving Product, Production, or Maintenance targets. Virtual Reality helps Product, Manufacturing, and Service Engineering Managers address challenges related to shorter product lifecycles, globalization, and new technology trends; better managing the risk of not achieving their targets; through a virtual and rich-context Human Centric Product & Processes validation, facilitating early identification of issues and improvements while reducing the need for physical trials & rely only on expert opinions. Note, Virtual Reality is not targeting to replace the baseline CAD, DMU, or Process Planning solutions that users are using. Neither are Virtual Reality aiming to be a complete replacement for the existing simulation solutions in place. Instead, Virtual Reality is intended to help users to reduce key risks and inefficiencies from the entire development process.
