The electrochemical behaviors of polycrystalline silver electrodes in 8M KOH solutions containing $Bi_2O_3$ were studied under various conditions by cyclic voltammetry, potentiostatic and galvanostatic techniques as well as the morphology of the silver oxide structures by SEM. It was found that three new compounds comprising silver, bismuth, and oxygen as well as $Bi_2O_3$, $Ag_2O$ and AgO were formed during the electrochemical oxidation of silver. In addition, the potentiostatic current transients were characterized by the appearances of the first current peaks corresponding to the formation of silver oxides, and the second current peaks corresponding to the Ag-Bi-O compounds, indicating the presence of the nucleation and 3D growth mechanism, in the potential regions of $Ag_2O$ and AgO, respectively. Microscopic examinations showed that two types of silver (I) oxide morphologies are formed in the potential region of $Ag_2O$.

This paper describes independent 6-phase BLDC motor which has a characteristic among BLDC motor used for electric propulsion system. Independent 6-phase BLDC motor has characteristics that phases of stator is independent electrically with each other and the phase of stator has more than 3 phases. We conducted simulation on independent 3-phase BLDC motor to analyze a characteristic of 6-phase BLDC motor. It is found that independent 3-phase BLDC motor has lower current pulsation and more stability in emergency situation than independent 6-phase BLDC motor.
동적설계해석과 과도응답해석을 이용한 함정용 대형 전동기의 내충격성 평가

In this study, we carried out to evaluate the shock-proof of a large scale motor for the naval vessel using dynamic design analysis method (DDAM) and full transient dynamic analysis. Analytical models for main assemblies (motor frame, rotor and stator assembly) were consisted of the tetrahedral solid elements and the equipments which installed in the upper side of the motor were substituted the mass elements. And we also modelled resilient mounts of a motor using the beam elements with appropriate directional stiffness. The DDAM was conducted according to NRL memorandum report 1396 and the full transient dynamic analysis was performed applying directional triple half triangle shock wave to the motor using ANSYS 12. As a result, we could compare of the results according to each analytic method and find the motor to satisfy the design criteria of the maximum stress and deformation.
환기현상의 수치적 해석을 위한 난류모델의 영향에 관한 연구

Ventilation is required to keep proper working condition inside building enclosure. Ventilation effect can be evaluated through numerical analysis before its implementation. Usual method of ventilation is mixed convection. Numerical analysis is performed with 3 different turbulence models of k-ε model, RNG k-ε model and Reynolds stress model. Also, 3 different wall functions are utilized in the analysis. Comparison of prediction results and experimental data show general agreement each other. The prediction performance with different turbulence models are shown similar each other.
