납착과 레이저용접으로 연결한 연결부의 인장강도의 연구

In the field of dentistry. The importance on the joining of dental casting body is becoming growing. Especially, with the recent development of implant-retained prosthesis. Which may often be long, fabricating a one-piece casting incorporating machined parts and having these machined surfaces accurately and passively fit the implant superstructure becomes even more difficult. Therefore, for a better fit, making multiple castings and then joining them has being promoted. Generally, soldering has been a conventional way to join metals. Recently, as laser-welding is being introduced into the field of dentistry. there is the increasing number of cases where laser-welding has been used as the connecting method. This research has compared and studied the tensile strength and examined the fractured surface under metallographic microscope. after the connection has been made with soldering and laser-welding using the various combinations of the precious and nonprecious alloy. Through this study, following results were obtained: 1. It was found that when connecting the nonprecious-nonprecious alloys, the tensile strength of the laser welded group(Group Ⅳ) showed the noticeably higher result compared with that of the soldered group(Group Ⅰ) (P<0.05). 2. When connecting the precious-precious alloys, the tensile strength of soldered group(Group Ⅱ) showed higher result compared with that of the laser-welded group(Group Ⅴ), however, there was no noticeable differences(P>0.05). 3. When connecting the precious-nonprecious alloys, the tensile strength of the laser-welded group(Group Ⅵ) showed noticeably higher value than that of the soldered group(Group Ⅲ)(P<0.05). The tensile strength of the nonprecious-nonprecious laser-welded group(Group Ⅵ) showed the most highest value compared with all other tested group, and the tensile strength of the precious-non precious soldered group(Group Ⅲ) recorded the most lowest value. 4. The microscopic examination of the fractured surface revealed that all the soldered groups joined with the nonprecious alloy(group(Group Ⅰ, Ⅲ) fractured adhesively between the solder and nonprecious alloy. The four of the precious-precious soldered group(Group Ⅱ) fractured cohesively and the one of them fractured cohesively and adhesively. Many porosities were observed at the fracrured surface. 5. The precious-nonprecious laser-welded group(Group Ⅵ) fractured cohesively in the precious alloy. Although the fractured surface showed free of porosities, there was some regions not welded in the center of the fractured surface. From the result of the above research, it was considered that the problems that had occurred previousely in the soldering between the nonprecious and the nonprecious alloys and between the precious and nonprecious alloys could be improved by the utilization of the laser-welding.

The esthetic dentistry is a rather new field in dentistry that has begun to gain attention recently. In contrast with the past dental treatment where the main objective was to treat pain, ailment and to rehabilitate the function of the teeth, one of the important objectives of dentistry has now been on the esthetic aspect of the face and teeth, as the economic situation became more affluent as days goes on and as the general desire of the people to have beautiful teeth. Matter of factor, a large number of individuals seek dental care because of esthetic reasons, that is the desire to look more attractive. Therefore, since the improvement the esthetics of the teeth has derived from the desire to be shown attractive, it could be said that the objective of the esthetic dentistry is to gain attractive smile by harmony of esthetic teeth with one's facial appearance. Futhermore esthetics and function go hand in hand, so they are always satisfied simultaneously. Therefore to obtain the objective, the dentists need not only the scientific analysis on the beautiful smile harmonized with the teeth, but also greater understanding of artistic elements in esthetic principles. This article reviewed the literature published by both the local and overseas dental academy and studied the clinical considerations in esthetic dentistry hoping this could be of help when application of cosmetic dental treatment.
