그림책을 활용한 미술심리상담이 아동의 사회성과 자아존중감에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 그림책을 활용한 미술심리상담이 아동의 사회성과 자아존중감에 어떠한 효과가 있는지 알아보는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 전라북도 G시에 소재한 지역아동센터를 다니는 초등학교 저학년 학생 43명(실험집단 14명, 비교집단 15명, 통제집단 14명)을 대상으로 하였다. 2017년 8월 29일부터 10월 24일까지 실험집단에는 그림책을 활용한 미술심리상담을 실시하였고, 비교집단은 미술심리상담을 실시하였으며, 통제집단은 아무런 처치도 하지 않았다. 연구결과 첫째, 그림책을 활용한 미술심리상담 프로그램을 실시한 실험집단 아동이 비교집단과 통제집단 아동보다 사회성 향상에 긍정적인 효과가 있었다. 둘째, 그림책을 활용한 미술심리상담을 실시한 실험집단 아동이 비교집단과 통제집단 아동보다 자아존중감 향상에 긍정적인 효과가 있었다. 이와 같은 결과는 그림책을 활용한 미술심리상담이 아동의 사회성과 자아존중감을 증진시키는데 효과적임을 시사한다. This study aimed to investigate the effect of art psychologic counseling utilizing picture books on children s sociability and self-esteem. To figure out above matters, experimental research was conducted based on 43 lower grades elementary school students who were enrolling one of the three regional children centers located in G-city in Jeollabook-do and theses students are comprised of 14 assigned for experiment group, 15 assigned for comparison group, and 14 assigned for control group. This program was conducted from August 29, 2017 to October 24, 2017. In experiment group, art psychologic counseling utilizing picture books was done whereas art psychologic counseling was conducted in comparison group and no action was given for control group. The result of this study is as follows. First, art psychologic counseling utilizing picture books had positive effect on the improvement in children s sociability. In other words, the result in experimental group was higher than comparison group and control group with statistical significance. Second, art psychologic counseling utilizing picture books had positive effect on the improvement in children s self-esteem. Namely, the result in experimental group was higher than comparison group and control group with statistical significance. The results above indicate that art psychologic counseling utilizing picture books is effective in the enhancement of children s sociability and self-esteem.
