        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of complex amino acids supplementation on blood components and performance in canoe players by measuring the changes in the canoe player's lactic acid, sodium, potassium, total LDH, LDH isozyme and heart rate related to performance(arm ergometer and canoe competition). This study employed 8 healthy canoe players who were 20∼23 years old (mean age 21.5 years). The subjects were repeatedly participated in this study twice(experimental group taking complex amino acids and one control taking placebo). The two way ANOVA repeated measure design was utilized in this study. The results of the study were as follows : Arm ergometer exercise 1. There was no significnat difference among blood lactate by treatment periods by groups and there was no significnat difference among blood lactate recovery rate (%) by treatment periods by groups 2. There was no significnat difference among heart rate by treatment periods by groups and there was no significant difference among heart rate recovery (%) by treatment periods by groups 3. There was no significnat difference among sodium concentration by treatment periods by groups and there was no significnat difference among potassium concentration by treatment periods by groups 4. There was no significnat difference among sodium concentration by treatment periods by groups and there was no significnat difference among potassium concentration by treatment periods by groups 5. There was no significnat difference between LDH activity by treatment periods by groups and both groups showed statistically significant increase of H/M ratio by treatment periods Canoe competition 1. There was significnat difference among blood lactate by groups (p<.05) 2. There was no significnat difference among heart rate by treatment periods by groups 3. The record of canoe competition was 282.13 second for experimental group and 284.14 second for experimental group. so the record of canoe competition of experimental group was better than that of control group. but there was no statistically significnat difference between the record of canoe competition by groups
