다양한 형태의 멀티미디어 데이터를 위한 통신 프로세서의 효율적 관리 방법에 대한 연구

본 논문에서는 멀티미디어 네트워크상에서 우선순위가 높은 서비스의 QoS를 보장하며 동시에 프로세서의 에너지 효율을 최대화하는 적응적 온라인 프로세서 관리기법을 제안하였다. 이 기법은 현재 네트워크의 트래픽 상황을 기반으로 하여 실시간으로 프로세서를 관리한다. 제안된 방법의 가장 큰 특징은 상호 상충하는 다양한 성능 메트릭들 사이에 적정한 균형을 이루어 안정적으로 시스템을 운영하는데 있다. 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통하여 기존에 제안된 프로세서 관리기법에 비해 본 논문에서 제안된 방법이 다양한 트래픽 상황에서 우수한 성능을 가지는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. In this paper, we propose new on-line processor management algorithms that manage heterogeneous multimedia services while maximizing energy efficiency. These online management mechanisms are combined in an integrated scheme for higher system performance and energy efficiency. The most important feature of our proposed scheme is its adaptability, flexibility and responsiveness to current network conditions. Simulation results clearly indicate the superior performance of our proposed scheme to strike the appropriate performance balance between contradictory requirements.
효모에 의한 알콜발효에서 Inoculum의 농도, pH 및 물의 종류의 영향

The effect of inoculum level, pH and various water on ethanol fermentation by Saccharomyces W1 was investigated. One loop, 5%(v/v), 10%(v/v), 15%(v/v) and 20% (v/v) of inoculum were tested to find a proper inoculum level. It was found to be one loopful of yeast cell. For the pH range between 3.0 and 7.5, the optimum for ethanol production was found to be pH 5.5. The effect of various water on ethanol production was studied. Ethanol concentrations produced by using tap water of Seoul and Suwon, and ground water of Suwon University were fairly similar. However, in the case of distilled water, ethanol concentrations produced were slightly lower than others tested.

The objective of this study is to improve cephalosporin C (CPC) production by optimization of medium and culture conditions. A statistical method was introduced to optimize the main culture medium. The main medium for CPC production was optimized using a statistical method. Glucose and corn steep liquor (CSL) were found to be the most effective factors for CPC production. Glucose and CSL were optimized to 2.84 and 6.68%, respectively. CPC production was improved 50% by feeding of 5% rice oil at day 3rd and 5th day during the shake flask culture of C. acremonium M25. The effect of agitation speeds on CPC production in a 2.5-L bioreactor was also investigated with fed-batch mode. The maximum cell mass (54.5 g/L) was obtained at 600 rpm. However, the maximum CPC production (0.98 g/L) was obtained at 500 rpm. At this condition, the maximum CPC production was improved about 132% compared to the result with batch flask culture.
